They worked like a well-oiled machine, meticulously and carefully. They completed the work an hour and 15 minutes ahead of the projected time, all the while treating items with respect. We had packed many boxes and moved them ourselves, but there were many Home Depot moving boxes left over. They used those boxes, thus saving us the cost of paying for their boxes. I really appreciated this. Also,they are going to move the boxes that we ourselves packed, which saves us money. I was very appreciative of the amiability of the moving crew, of their care and precision in packing, of the fact that they were considerate of our desire to save money everywhere we could, and of how pleasant they were. For context, I've used Piece of Cake Storage multiple times in the past and have always had a professional, efficient experience with reasonable pricing. This time, I decided to go with a smaller local business, and I honestly regret that decision. The movers themselves were nice and respectful, so I want to acknowledge that. However, the overall execution of the move was very poor. I was not aware that the clock would be running continuously from the beginning of the first move through the entire process, including travel between locations, also, the movers handled personal business on the clock while I was being charged. My move was for a small one-bedroom apartment, everything was already packed, and I even assisted the movers throughout the process. Despite that, the first portion of the move took approximately four hours, and the second portion took another two hours. The total cost ended up being around $800, which was especially frustrating because I had been quoted approximately $200 less by a larger, more established moving company. I have used larger companies for moves of the same size that were completed efficiently within 3-4 hours, even with the movers handling the packing and furniture preparation. There were also several issues with the care of my belongings. The company did not provide any protective materials to cover my furniture. Multiple items in my unit were damaged, some of my furniture was damaged, and several belongings were left dirty. My mattress was not covered at all, and the bottom of it was left dirty. My bed was also reassembled incorrectly. On top of everything, the movers arrived approximately three hours late, and the entire process did not finish until around 11 PM. By the end of the night, the experience had become an exhausting mess. I did pay the full amount, and I appreciate that the movers were nice throughout the process. However, being nice does not make up for poor time management, damages, lack of protection for belongings, arriving three hours late, and an $800 bill for a small, already-packed one-bedroom move. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them again. In hindsight, I should have gone with the larger company that was actually going to charge me $200 less and had a proven track record of completing my moves efficiently.

It cost me $600 to move a one bedroom. One of the movers smelled like alcohol. Terrace is just out of shape for this kind of work. I had everything packed and furniture wrap for protection and things still got damaged. I even had my own dolly taking items to the truck. Still took 5hrs. Brand new $150 Ninja Air fryer completely destroyed. Airfryer was in its original packaging. When i contacted Sherman he told me to contact Terrance who was over the move. I contacted by txt the same day and he read my txt and still til this day haven't responded to my txt. After countless txt back and forth to the owner Sherman I'm still waiting on the another person to contact me about an insurance claim. ( have txt to prove). to be in business for some quite sometime the communication sucks. I've always tried to support black business but justmovedfw let me down. This was by far the most seamless, professional, and well planned move I've ever had. From the time I called them, they asked the right questions i.e.: is everything in boxes? Should we plan to box? Are there stairs? Are there elevators? While all of this seems basic, when you were being charged by the hour many other companies fail to ask. They wanted to make sure that I had a good experience and that their estimate and time was calculated as close to correct as possible. They asked me to pay a $99 booking fee so I did. Yesterday I picked up my keys to the apartment and found the unit to be in a horrible state. With disgusting odor of Indian food. A catastrophe. I immediately reached out to Betos to tell them of the emergency and asked them to please work with me to reschedule for when the unit is properly ready. This is one day before the scheduled move which is supposed to be today. The state of the unit was uninhabitable. I could not in good conscience MOVE my stuff into the unit. The person immediately said I will have to pay another $99 booking fee despite me sharing the details of my situation. I asked them to consider the fact that I'm already dealing with this emergency and cannot afford to pay yet another fee. He said "please understand this is a business" What I understand is the lack of customer service and human decency. Even though I'm experiencing a major emergency situation that is not my fault. You know how apartment moving goes.. some times, your unit isn't exactly how you imagined it to be and there are corners and curbs you don't expect to be there on the day of the move. WELL! That's exactly what happened with our huge a** couch. They twisted it. They turned it. Nope. Nothing was working. They brought the couch all the way downstairs and Jonathan had this idea to remove the door to create more leeway. And what do you know.. it worked!! I was literally looking up apartment friendly couches and was planning on putting our current one in storage/selling it lol. Thankfully we didn't have to do that because I love this couch. To do what they do.. in this Texas weather.. I applaud them. I'm so glad we got such a great team (even the agent who booked our move was extremely professional and got back to me in a timely manner, main reason why we booked them in the first place!) We got 2 young guys who didn't seem very well trained on best moving practices nor were they very well prepared in materials. They didn't have any mattress bags nor enough saran wrap to protect our mattresses or headboards. Luckily we had bags and bubble wrap left over from our last move so we used that. They were also going to use the dirty moving blankets to wrap our mattress but we asked them to use saran wrap, which they did but they ran out of saran wrap and left half of our mattress exposed during the move. When moving our consoles and couches, they also packed them into the truck so that the 4 legs of the heavy furniture would bear the brunt of the traffic movement. When we first moved out here, the other company took the legs off and laid the furniture on the side, effectively spreading the weight across the entire console instead of focusing it on the legs. I had to ask them to do the same thing because I didn't want to risk ruining the furniture. When it came time to move the mattresses into the new house, they dragged it over the mud and ripped the bag, and if we hadn't caught that, they would've brought the muddy mattress bag inside. I hate to micromanage but I feel like if I didn't, our furniture definitely would've gotten more damage / mud / dirty than it should have. The young guys seemed to work hard, but they were woefully untrained and ill prepared for the move.
