As such, I feel well qualified to talk about how amazing Viva is! Song finding system: the Viva system is easier than most, and made it simple to find what we liked. Easy to move things around on the queue. Location: easy access, safe location for arrival. Private rooms: this is where Viva absolutely shone. Private rooms are obviously critical. However, at most karaoke places, it's challenging to get in and out of the bench seating to get up to sing. Not at Viva! The bench was long, with space to get in and out, while still having table access and plenty of water. It's hard to say how much this improved the experience. Service: there's a button to press for service, and they show up and take care of whatever you need. Drinks: many of us find that karaoke requires alcohol lubrication. That means the drink quality really matters. The drinks were fab!

They had a promotion going on where the rates were $45/hour until 8pm. Even after the promo rate was over, the rate was only $75/hour. Between like 8 people, that's very cheap. The ladies who checked our IDs vibed with us very well. We got a room as soon as we got in. Our male server, I wish I got his name, explained the different systems they had for karaoke, how to call for service, etc. We're a group of girls and gays, so we're always down for a good laugh and a good play along. He did very much that. We felt very welcomed by him and will be coming back for every celebration. They didn't have Midori Sour on their drink menu, but our host was very nice to ask the bartender anyway. Lucky for me, they still made it, and might I add, very deliciously as well? Dare I say the best Midori Sour I've ever had! My sister didn't know what to drink, so she asked our host to surprise her and he most definitely did because whatever he got her tasted really good. Our friend ordered a plate of fried chicken wings and it was seriously good. Not too salty, crispy on the outside, and juicy as hell on the inside. If I wasn't as full, I'd eat more. We had an amazing time to end our birthday fiasco here and definitely recommend others to come - as long as you're all over 21!

They were kind, attentive, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Service was easily the highlight of the experience and a definite 5 out of 5. The restaurant itself is small inside with a much larger outdoor seating area. We chose to sit outside, but don't expect waterfront views because you actually can't see the bay from the patio. I started with a virgin piña colada, and it was delicious. Definitely one of the best things I had. For food, I ordered the lobster sliders. Unfortunately, they were pretty lackluster. They were served with cold lobster on mini Hawaiian style rolls with shredded lettuce and no sauce to tie everything together. Honestly, I would have much preferred a traditional lobster roll. I also tried the crab cakes. They had decent flavor, but if you're used to steakhouse style lump crab cakes packed with crab meat and served with an amazing aioli, these will probably disappoint. There was noticeably more filler and breadcrumbs than crab, which wasn't what I was hoping for. My sister ordered mozzarella sticks and a burger and fries, and she enjoyed her meal. Overall, I'd call Chantey at Marina a solid mid tier restaurant. The service was exceptional, but the food just didn't live up to the location or my expectations. I actually ended up here because Bay Pointe was closed, and unfortunately, this didn't become a new favorite. Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 3.5/5 Will I return? Probably not.

While we ate dinner he kept people from that side, and we were able to enjoy a dinner together without being surrounded by others drinking which was AMAZING because all 6 of us are fairly recently sober. One in our party was actually experiencing his first time at a restaurant since quitting drinking. We appreciated the hospitality tenfold! Food was absolutely AMAZING and portions were stacked! The inside has a really fun upscale lounge vibe with colorful lighting, floral decor, hanging lanterns, and a huge centerpiece tree that makes the whole space feel almost like you are dining in a tropical garden. It feels trendy and lively without being overly loud, which made it a great spot for both dinner and drinks. For drinks, I ordered the mai tai and one of their mocktails. Both were well presented and came in beautiful glasses. The mai tai was refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet like many places make them. The mocktail was also excellent and felt thoughtfully made rather than just tasting like juice. For food, the short ribs pho was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the portion was generous with tender pieces of meat. Definitely one of the better pho presentations I have had in the area. I also ordered the sizzling steak pate with baguette, which came out hot and smelled amazing. The steak was tender and savory, the egg added richness, and pairing everything with the fresh baguette made for a really satisfying dish. Overall Monkey Lounge delivers on both ambiance and food quality. It feels like a hidden gem if you want somewhere with strong date night energy, aesthetic decor, and Vietnamese fusion dishes that actually taste as good as they look. The crowd is very diverse and place has a quiet sort of buzz to it. It's a little on the dark side if you are sitting in the dining room but the bar is well lit.
