We needed a place to be loud without fear of being kicked out. After walking around Allston, we stumbled upon this karaoke spot. They had a promotion going on where the rates were $45/hour until 8pm. Even after the promo rate was over, the rate was only $75/hour. Between like 8 people, that's very cheap. The ladies who checked our IDs vibed with us very well. We got a room as soon as we got in. Our male server, I wish I got his name, explained the different systems they had for karaoke, how to call for service, etc. We're a group of girls and gays, so we're always down for a good laugh and a good play along. He did very much that. We felt very welcomed by him and will be coming back for every celebration. They didn't have Midori Sour on their drink menu, but our host was very nice to ask the bartender anyway. Lucky for me, they still made it, and might I add, very deliciously as well? Dare I say the best Midori Sour I've ever had! My sister didn't know what to drink, so she asked our host to surprise her and he most definitely did because whatever he got her tasted really good. Our friend ordered a plate of fried chicken wings and it was seriously good. Not too salty, crispy on the outside, and juicy as hell on the inside. If I wasn't as full, I'd eat more. We had an amazing time to end our birthday fiasco here and definitely recommend others to come - as long as you're all over 21! read more

She gave me an attitude with tutting her teeth at my question. If you get annoyed about these questions then change your note to be more clear. Update: wait staff is great, handles everything well. It is a bit chaotic because it's busy but the girls had a blast. Hosted my daughter's 15th and some of her Varsity team came to celebrate. They sang their butts off. The food was decent, prices were a tad expensive for bar food but plentiful. I paid around $304.00 for 2 hours and like 5 big appetizers not alcohol of course. They made a mistake with my order so I couldn't eat until I got home but they didn't charge me twice for it and apologized which was good enough for me. Very sincere with their apology, crap happens. It's a Tuesday!! Showed up here with a group of 7 for our first time and decided to brave it out and hit the main stage instead of hiding in a private studio room. The best part was that the place was basically empty, so it felt like we rented out our own personal private concert venue. We sang multiple songs. Repeatedly. Zero shame. Back up dancers and everything, we were in our main character energy. IDs are required whether you're drinking or not, so just bring it. The DJ was solid and played good tunes in between sets. Just know it is LOUD (as it should be), so prepare your vocal cords and your ears. The lighting is also very dim so be prepared for that too. A few of us got drinks and they were good, no complaints there. Staff was friendly and the vibe was chill. Bathroom was clean overall, but most of the stalls didn't have toilet paper... which you unfortunately discover after you're already committed. That part? Annoying. Overall though, we had a really fun night and would definitely go back, especially on a slower night for some of us that aren't that brave. read more

I've been here many times now over the years for different occasions. This is a great reliable place to sing your heart down either on the main stage or in a private room. I've done both. Most recently they also have a good promotion for. Discounted times such as Sunday from 4 to 7 PM where it was mostly empty so we were able to book last minute. Also double check since it's a college town area of whether they have student discounts available! Some of the songs are not fully synced between the lyrics and the audio. That was a bit awkward when the audio and lyrics were off when singing Fall Out Boy oops. I'm glad that they have a wider selection here than some of the other locations I've tried. Depending on the size of the room you may have more features available. Each of the rooms should have a call option for service. The bottle tapwater and the soda should be included in the hourly rate. The specialty drinks and alcohol are not. I appreciate that they have a screen in front and also and back so you can face multiple directions while singing. I have no idea if all of the rooms have the capability, but I know some of them have a QR code that you can scan on your phone so you can add songs synced as well to the room playlist. Unfortunately it looks like from the other reviews. That's not a consistent option for all of the rooms. Thankfully, the song will end once your reservation time is over so you don't need to worry about them charging you more for going over like other places. If you wanna try the main stage, you were at the mercy of the DJ and I remember coming here with a sizable group of friends, but there was also another sizable group so we had clashing emo songs alternating with mostly the other group's country. read more

There was only six people in the bar, including my two friends and yet she was adherent at making sure everybody got a two minute rule. And didn't have reservations for any private rooms but we filtered into the main stage where you can karaoke to your hearts content ON stage infront of the folks in the main area past the bar. They have a full bar with drinks and bottle service at your table. The karaoke system for song request was done on wall tablets located right behind the DJ booth.s Apparently this evening was the last day spinning music for karaoke kings and queens so he requested a group picture at the end. I promise to God I am not an angry person, and I am not generally confrontational. I went to the DJ after the songs for the people I was with had already sung, and I had queued a song up before them. The DJ told me I was 14th in line. My friends went to them and told me it was my birthday (2 wrongs don't make a right, but at this point I was fed up) and they moved it up to 7th in the queue. Our waitress was friendly and patient, guiding us through the menus to find our favorite songs. We ordered a ton of drinks, and after splitting the cost for the room and drinks, the total was actually pretty reasonable. Just a heads-up, their yogurt soju is just flavored soju. Stage is great!! Having been to Do Re Mi and Jin Karaoke in the past, Stage takes it to the next level with a snazzy interior, nice private rooms, a really awesome main room stage area, ample seating, cool lighting and ambiance. The best thing in the house is DJ Wes!!! Grooving to the music, he actually has a great voice too and always smiling and very friendly and cheerful. Plays great fun music during the switch between the karaoke singers and keeps the party going!! We went for the first time a couple weeks back on a Tuesday night when entry to the main area is free. We had such a good time that we returned the following Tuesday. It does get crowded after 9pm or so and then you have to wait a while for your chance to sing. You have to write down your song name, artist, song number and your name on paper slips and hand it to DJ Wes and you're in queue. We got there at 9 and put in 3 songs, but until 11:30 only got to sing 2 of them but had to leave. The second time we got there earlier just after 8 and it was not that crowded. So we definitely got to sing more songs this time around. There are clearly some regular karaoke-ers here, some of whom have great voices, cool moves, and are powerhouses and some clearly have great showmanship working the crowd! The waitress came by to check on us often. Drinks were being had at the tables and there were people seated at the bar as well. The only negative is that in the restroom, several stalls were out of order the first time and still out of order the week after. So I sure hope they fix those soon. Also with large groups can sometimes get a little crazy, but the bouncer came by frequently and checked on everything, so all good. I've always been big on karaoke, when I was stationed in Hawaii it was a weekly must do. It's almost culture out there. I always wished Boston had places like that. Over the last few years a few have popped up but most had limited drink options, outdated, and limited options for songs. When I heard of Stage Karaoke and visited their website I had to go. I finally did and it was everything I imagined. They reservation system is perfect, no Over crowding at check in, no long waits and awesome staff. Everyone was on point and all looked genuinely happy to be working there. They are quick when you press the service button, kindest servers. The rooms are all decorated differently but all dope. You can change lighting, choose between two systems. Their machine allows you to duet with the machine. It gives you back up vocals and all. The atmosphere, the vibe, the aesthetic, the attention to detail and care for each guest was truly so apparent that this venue knows excellent hospitality. They made me feel so special and made the night 10/10 for me and my dearest friends. The private rooms were so elegant and had an amazing sound system. The DJ was crushing it out in the main stage too when we joined the public section. The management was so friendly and super experienced - and the drinks were so glad we celebrated here. Went with a group of friends to our own studio. I like the lighting and there's 2 screens to sing along to. There's only 2 mics to a room as well. You can also order food/drinks to your room, don't bring anything outside, in. They have cameras and will be watching. The main annoying thing was, the song list told us to download an app, but staff said the app doesn't work. So we just picked random songs and did our best. I personally enjoy the STAGE area more than the private rooms. People queue up with their songs and just roll on up and give it a whirl. The other guests there were very supportive. read more

I've rented a room and enjoyed the stage so will talk about both. Room: very fun! Not as fun as the stage and TONS of hidden fees. Will not go again as the stage is cheaper. And the hidden fees just were gross. Stage: Pros: IMMACULATE VIBES! it's a mixture of a dance club and karaoke bar. People will cheer you on and dance. cons: $20-$30 cover charge. Expect to pay $30 if it's busy. Old dj used to make sure everyone had a turn and hype you up. Current dj ignores you unless you hand him cash with a song request. Which sucks since you're already paying a cover charge! Watched him call the same guy 4 times ahead of us. and begrudgingly let us sing because we were literally the only folks there. If you got cash to blow and want good vibes go for it! If you just wanna sing go to their other karaoke bar "viva karaoke" they won't charge you out of the butt just to sing read more

I was a last minute tag along with my friend's group of friends. I had no idea how many people were going so I did not realize how big of a space we had waiting for our 12 - 2 am reservations. Our party of about 20 people sat comfortably in the spacious room with the surroundsound and multiple screens on each wall. Our waitress provided a quick tutorial as to how to use the system. She checked in on us on multiple occasions to see if we needed any food or drinks. For food we tried their octopus, gyoza, and French fries. Everything came fresh from their kitchen especially considering it was already so late into the night. I thoroughly enjoyed the octopus since they were still whole and not over cooked. The dumplings were still juicy inside so those would be definitely worth getting again. Overall, it is a great place and a fun time if with the right people. I would definitely come again! read more
