I've been to this location a couple of times throughout my life and overall have had good experiences. They are relatively cheaper than other karaoke locations and have a good amount of rooms. The only con I would mention is that the last time I went to their website it seems it was hacked by some ad company so I could not book a room online. A solid choice for private room karaoke, I'm fairly impressed with the size and cleanliness of of station KTV. The food selection is surprisingly complete with full entrees and appetizers available as well as a full set of beverages. These are available at reasonable prices with fairly large portions. The cooking is pretty good, not the best preparation of this that I've ever had but greatly exceeds expectations for a karaoke place. The beef chow fun had pretty silky noodles, Singapore noodles were in a big portion and not too spicy, scallion pancake a little light in flavor, and yang chow fried rice had a good flavor but was a little dry. I enjoyed the Hong Kong style milk tea as well which was pretty flavorful and not too sweet. The song choice is enormous here, particularly the options in a foreign language. It was difficult to at times to find the songs using the console but there were enough songs that the group enjoyed that we never got close to getting through all the songs in our list. The karaoke room was comfortable and the sound quality was good. Overall, a good choice if you want to enjoy private karaoke with friends or family with a good set of food options at a reasonable price. read more

Came here with a few friends to celebrate me being back home for the holiday. We had made reservations to try to take advantage of the happy hour deal before 8 pm. They only honor the deal for the time before that time. Establishment was clean and after learning the layout of their software, adding songs became easier. Adorable rooms! Came for a birthday party and it was $118 an hr which is a little pricey. The room was super nice, clean and comfy. Once we got got the hang of the song selection we didn't have any issues. Both mics worked well and we had a great time. Would highly recommend for groups so it's not so expensive. I came here with a group of friends recently. Overall, it was a fun time, and here is the long and short of it. The Good -Easy to make a reservation over the phone. They offer rooms of various sizes and price points, depending on how large your group is. We had room #6. -I found the drink (including bottled water--gotta stay hydrated while singing!) prices to be pretty competitive for the area. -The sound system in the room is really quite good! -Our room was clean and comfortable. -The staff are quite quick with bringing drinks when you order them. The Not So Good -The QR code for ordering drinks did not work on anyone's phone--it simply wouldn't scan. So to order things, we had to go to the front desk and request them. -As others have said, the system for choosing songs is not intuitive. But because I haven't seen any reviews explaining how it works, here it is. -Searching by artist: The system's default is in Mandarin, and there is an English setting that will change *most* menus to English. However, typing in English letters only works for ONE letter. For instance, if you're looking for Beyoncé, you can't start typing B-E-Y because it'll break and you won't get results. You have to type only "B" and then just scroll through many pages of results until you find Beyoncé. The results are only sort of alphabetized but not really, so it can be a lot of scrolling. -Searching by song title: Similarly, this does not work as expected. If you're searching for "Let Me Love You," you have to enter "L-M-L-Y" on the keypad to bring up the result. As soon as you start typing "L-E-T" it will break the results and you won't find the song. If your song is only one word, then searfch for the first letter and get to scrolling. -For the record, I understand why the system works the way it does, using syllabic blocks. But the search in Korean doesn't work properly either, because I tried searching for Gangnam Style in Korean by typing and that didn't bring up any results. -Once you figure out the system, you can find the songs you want and have a good time. The screen is on the wall and there's no remote, which is a little annoying because you have to get up every time you want to add a song. While my "not so good" section is long, that is really for the explanation of using the system; hopefully it helps someone save some time and get straight into singing their heart out! This was still a fun evening and we would come back, although Station is a far cry from the Korean karaoke bars back in the DC/Virginia area. read more

The room was dusty and the karaoke selection for English speakers was just disappointing. They had no good songs, no pop songs that came out recently, no cartoon/theme songs just out of date artists. The lady at the front desk sucked and gave us attitude after adding ten minutes to our time which was supposed to be 1 hour and 30 minutes without telling us and charged 40 dollars for the ten minutes. She wouldn't let us argue about it and we ended up leaving after we had only 1 hour and 30 minutes but got charged for our measly ten minutes. Fun place to go after a show at the Wilbur or to celebrate an event! Pretty good food and beer/wine selection. Staff can be a little abrupt, but that's probably due to the behavior of the clientele. Customer Service with the Boston location was great by phone but, in person it left a bit to be desired. We ordered a ton of greasy food and got no napkins. Bathrooms were gross and it took forever to figure out how to find and program songs. All good once we did sort it out. Overall, we would go back...just with lower expectations. read more

After researching karaoke places in Cambridge/Boston and comparing prices, I made a reservation at station KTV for a small group of friends. station KTV offers the best deal if you come during its happy hours. I'd definitely recommend making reservations at least 3 - 5 days in advance. Its database is actually reasonably comprehensive, but I think their song selecting machines could use an upgrade because it was tough to browse/choose songs by using the touch screen. Otherwise, at least their songs have like real music videos to them, not like some random background videos often found at other KTV boxes. I came here on a snow day, and the AC was full on blasting heat. It was great, but I was sweating. The bathroom is downstairs that is fairly clean. There are no paper towels, only hand dryer available. I would definitely come back again. The only thing is that they don't kick you out or cut off your TV system if you hit your reservation time. I suppose, as long as there is no other party waiting, they just let you stay. So make sure to keep an eye on the watch on your own. They are very strict about not allowing outside food/drink, so be sure to pay extra for any kind of beverages. read more

We figured that they would come and get us when the time was up, but they let the time run 10 minutes past and then charged us an extra $80....we also brought in take out food (that we didn't eat) but told us it would be an extra $100 if we wanted to eat/drink our own food. This place is open for business again and hooray for that! Nice facilities, the songs sometimes lagged and they didn't have Imogen Heap but overall it was a really clean, well appointed room with decent sound and sound dampening (from other rooms) and a good selection of songs. The UI on the song machine was a little hard to work if you didn't know other languages than English, but we figured it out in the end. Service was great and fast. Drinks will run you $6ish for beers and $25-30 for bottles of sakes and choya. Overall, we stayed for 3 hours and had about 2 drinks each, and it cost around $260 total for 5 people. Station KTV is a karaoke bar located in The Chinese Merchants Building, built by the On Leong Merchants Association, at 20 Hudson Street in Boston's Chinatown. They have cheaper Happy Hour pricing till 9pm and a strict no outside food policy for which they'll charge $100 per infraction. As a trapped audience, they do have a food menu for patrons to order off of at rather inflated prices - think $4 water and soda and $11.95 beef chow fun. We were assigned a room for 5 upstairs and provided with two microphones. Their songs may primarily be for the Chinese audience. We, however, mulled over the English options. And I had probably 50 I knew and wanted to sing from the biggest pop stars over the last 30 years. Finally found a version of one that wasn't the original so was hard to sing to. I think it's mostly Chinese music, even the instructions, so if you can read that, you should be just fine, and it's nice and clean and all that. Food is decent too. read more
