A real Irish Dive…read more The Irish Pub is great place for a drink or bite to eat after work. The friendly staff makes welcome and at ease the minute you step inside. They have the largest selection of beer in quincy, not to mention a great menu. The bartenders are friendly, witty, and easy on the eyes. All around the "I.P" is a great place to go with friends, the laughs are endless and spirits are high. Tip: They like to get drunk here and it's great. Thanks

Next time I'll keep it simple with beer but overall it was a pleasant experience.

Yikes. So I have some do's & don'ts for this place: Don't come here to eat, drink, hang out with…read morefriends, etc. Do order a pizza for takeout! The overwhelming stench of cigarettes the second you walk in is hard to ignore. It feels like it's still left over from the 80's when smoking inside bars was allowed. The decor/lighting was also dark and dreary. I kind of wanted to walk out as soon as I walked in, but my best friend and I came here because we heard they serve a great bar pizza. We ordered mozzarella sticks to start. They didn't have the long, stringy-pulley cheese that everyone looks for in a mozzarella stick. Oh well. I wasn't expecting much given the environment I was in. Then I ordered a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza. It was pretty good! I thought the dough was a bit thick for bar pizza but the sauce and cheese were on point. Unfortunately the atmosphere of this place is a huge turn off. Call ahead and get your pizza for takeout. *cash only*

True Score: 4.5 Stars…read more A lost art of neighborhood dive bar. How did we find this place? A tenement house with a bar on the first level. You really wouldn't know this is a bar. It's an old school spot in the middle of a neighborhood. Small bar probably seats eight and obviously is filled with regulars from the neighborhood. Wonderful bartender and the patrols warmed up to us quickly. This is not a new place and nor should it be. Strong drinks, cold beers, and a good spot to watch a game. Remember, a small place. Great spot, a real lost art of a place. Most spots like this are long for the past. Thanks

Not 4 stars for The Fours~…read more When you think of The Fours you think sports bar, cold beer, pub food, and loud Tvs playing all the popular New England sports. The Fours was good once, but not this time. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. It was not crowded at all which we liked. Our bartender Brian did not seem to be happy at all when he greeted us, but that was ok. Sometimes even servers have bad days and we just let it go. After ordering drinks we shared their Buffalo Fingers appetizer. I always loved this appetizer. It was still good but felt the chicken was a bit on the chewy side. Then, for entrees, I always get their Chopped Salad with Salmon on it. Their Chopped salad always tastes so good and with a big portion I usually bring the rest home. First off, the Salmon was overcooked and dry and I was so upset since I was craving a good piece of Salmon. The salad was still decent. My husband had their Hot Pastrami sandwich and this was excellent. His order always comes out perfect LOL! The good thing is when I told Brian about my fish he felt bad and compted the whole salad which was very nice of him. I will say I do like sitting on their patio when the warmer weather is here with a glass of wine, an app and people watch. Not sure if the food has gone down but I will say this place usually had better food and service than our last experience! Cheers~
