From brunch favorites (stuffed French toast, chicken & waffles, omelets) to comfort-food staples…read more(pulled-pork sandwiches, fish & chips, crab-cake Benedicts, veggie burgers) -- there's something for lots of tastes. Whether you're grabbing drinks or a full meal, the space feels neighborhood-friendly and laid-back. With a full bar, cocktails/wines/beers, weekend brunch, and even weekday happy-hour-ish offerings (like dollar oysters some days), it's easy to swing by with friends or family. Right in Dorchester, with easy transport access (near the T station) and street parking nearby. Makes it a solid option if you're in Boston for a casual meal or night out. Can't forget about the outstanding service! Everyone on staff, the bartenders, chefs, etc. are great! I love this place.

What we got: - Gnocco fritto - Bruschetta - Arancini - Orecchiette - Bolognese - Sausage and lentils - Chicken parm - Skillet chicken - Radicchio salad We had high hopes, but besides the apps, everything was disappointing. How can you call yourself an Italian restaurant but not cook pasta correctly? The pasta for the Orecchiette, Chicken Parm, and Bolognese were all VERY overcooked. The pasta for the Bolognese was basically mush. We actually sent that dish back and came back just as overcooked. They need to figure out how to cook pasta. Service was also bad. Our apps and mains came out at different times. Water glasses went unfilled, and I had to go find salt and pepper on my own. Also, there were two employees, maybe a manager and kitchen staff, who were sitting at a table next to us doing event planning while talking on the phone on speakerphone. It really ruined the vibe. Slim chance we will go back. Very disappointing.

Parked around the back on a side street. Upon entry, I was surprised at how big the restaurant was. The music was jumping and they have a bunch of tv's with all sorts of sports playing (US Open). We were quickly seated and ordered some drinks. Our waitress was solid. She knew the menu and was on top of things from the start! We started with some drinks and mozzarella sticks (see pic). They were top notch delicious! The only issue was the number of sticks...only 4 but they were good! We then ordered our main dish. Again, the service was great and the wide amount of choices on the menu was fantastic. I had a BBQ chicken dinner with fries. We ordered two fish tacos and a chipotle turkey sandwich with some sides! BBQ Chicken- great taste and perfectly cooked Turkey Sandwich- just the right amount of sauce and fresh! Fish tacos- big and tasty! While we waited, we all realized how loud the music was. It was not terrible but it was louder than we were use to. Especially for a Sunday afternoon. Probably Sirius XM as the category was all the same and no stoppage! Our food came and we were all thrilled. I took some pictures of each plate before we ate and I am glad that I did because the food went quickly off the plates! Good stop....happy I visited! Vibe- casual Price- fair Parking- side streets and Dot Ave Staff- very nice

Super relaxed atmosphere and tv's, so it would be a great place to watch a game. Friendly bartender and the fish and chips was good. They also have pizzas that looked great. My friend had a pesto with burrata and she said it was awesome. They also have gluten-free pizza, whihc is good to know. Our table neighbor had the pork chop, which also looked great. They have a small parking lot, which would fill up quickly. We went on a very "off" time, so we were able to park in that lot. Otherwise, you'd need to find street parking.

We were seated right away at a table in the middle of the floor. Told that was best that could be done. Like eating in an aisle. After a few minutes we were asked if we wanted still water or not. Still, we said. Then if we wanted drinks, told her water would be fine. Service started to decline from there. Also no condiments come to the table, but water. We ordered bread and butter and a spice bag, but vegetarian. No bread today ran out. And no plans to bake anymore. We wait close to 25 minutes for our appetizers. Spice bag arrives and I had read rave reviews about this. Open it and its filled with chicken and french fries. Server grabbed it and told us, kitchen error. They would make another, be there in a minute or two. I asked would this show up with our entrees. No, be spaced apart. We waited over 15 minutes, it arrived. Was supposed to have cauliflower, peppers, onions and french fries. There was three pieces of cauliflower and no peppers or onions. What was there was tasty and well spiced. And as soon as we opened the bag and started eating, entrees show up. Fish and chips portions are huge and very nicely fried. Excellent crisp and fantastic steak fries. The Pizza #1, excellent tomatoed base and the crust had a good chew to it. I ordered the Beyond meat lasagna. Huge portion with a green salad and cole slaw. Cole slaw was creamy and very nice. Green salad was fresh but drenched in dressing. My fault should have asked for it on the side. The lasagna was disappointing. No seasoning, no garlic or onions or oregano. It was, I think a British version of lasagna. Ate about half could not eat more. No desserts, but drinks, tea and hot chocolate. Or I did not see it. Server apologized for the timing of the meals, the error with the Spice Bag and the lack of bread. She was sweet. Lots of sports being broadcasted, and a huge long bar. I would come for beer and soccer or football. If I wanted Irish bar food I'd be better going to the Burren. And parking is a challenge. They have a very small lot, we got lucky and found a spot. Hard pass on McGonagle's.

Overall nothing special. - Basket O' Fries - $8 (for the classic style) - Flavor wise, this was something we weren't expecting. We had assumed that it would be plain fries, but for some reason it tasted as though it was dusted with a Cajun seasoning. While the fries themselves were nice and crispy, we were not fans of the seasoning (there's no mention of it in the description). Be warned if you're expecting plain fries. Not sure if it was supposed to come like this or not. - "Hell Yeah" Burger - $22 - This was what I came here for and once again (there's a theme here), it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The burger itself was pretty good as it was two 4 oz patties smashed and went well with the other ingredients. The thing that was unexpected was the patties being marinated in a whisky marinade. If you love the flavor of whisky, then this will definitely be for you as I did taste a hint of it in the burger. Unfortunately for me, I enjoy the flavor of beef in a good burger and the marinade masked a lot of it. I do wish there was an option to get patties that aren't marinated. - Nashville Hot Chicken - $16 - A pretty good fried chicken sandwich. To me it was a little heavy on the Cajun seasoning but I really enjoyed the juiciness of the chicken. I'd get this again. Another thing to note is when we were there you order at the bar as there was no strict table service. The food itself was well prepared and the prices are definitely reasonable. The flavors however, didn't quite hit for me, but it may for you!
