First time here, didn't know about it until my friends brought me last night. It was a nice local feel. The turkey tips were great. Drink was cold. The had all the football games on all the TVs, which was awesome!! I'll be back!

Boiled Dinner on St. Patty's!
The Luckiest T.

Had a great experience here today -- on St. Patty's Day, no less! Was in the area having my car looked at and decided to call around and see who was serving up corned beef and cabbage for lunch. I had pulled into their parking lot to make my calls -- first to Grumpy Whites (no CB&C this year -- not sure why, when they sold out early last year). Next I called Fat Cat -- yup, $16. Then I called The Fours -- yes, $12. Then I looked up and saw the green shamrock on the sign in front of me, so I went in and tried my luck. Sure enough! I couldn't have asked for a more Irish experience this side of Southie! I walked in to find nary an empty seat around the large square bar -- mind you, it was 12:08pm! The clientele ranged from 20s to 70s and everyone seemed to be having a good time. My friend and I took a round table near the bar and within minutes the bartender came over to take our orders. He is Irish ;) and quite attractive, in a Mr. Clean meets Harley Davidson meets Irish lumberjack type of way (swoon!) Now this guy was SUPER busy -- making sure 30 peoples' drinks were filled AND waiting tables -- but he was GREAT. We didn't have to wait for him any amount of time, he was thoughtful, friendly and polite, all while looking like a tough guy. I was impressed. And a little turned on. But I digress... I was also impressed by the food. Granted, it may be hard to screw up a boiled dinner, but it's possible! Ours was delicious (see pic I posted.) I would definitely be back. Great neighborhood-type bar with warm people and good food. Must be my Luck O' the Irish today! (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Great specials!

Ask the Community - Goal Post Bar & Grille

Do you have mashed potatoes every day? with a question like this you know i'm Irish and love my spuds above all else. Are the the irish way with no skins in there. it's hard to find spots serving up good Irish spuds and veg anymore.

Our homemade mashed potatoes are served daily. We have many food & beverage items that provide a delicious taste of Ireland. Stop in to check out our ‘Irish’ mixed veg, Shepard’s Pie or Irish Sausages served with Batchelors Beans & chips. Top it off…

Not 4 stars for The Fours~…read more When you think of The Fours you think sports bar, cold beer, pub food, and loud Tvs playing all the popular New England sports. The Fours was good once, but not this time. We went on a Saturday afternoon and sat at the bar. It was not crowded at all which we liked. Our bartender Brian did not seem to be happy at all when he greeted us, but that was ok. Sometimes even servers have bad days and we just let it go. After ordering drinks we shared their Buffalo Fingers appetizer. I always loved this appetizer. It was still good but felt the chicken was a bit on the chewy side. Then, for entrees, I always get their Chopped Salad with Salmon on it. Their Chopped salad always tastes so good and with a big portion I usually bring the rest home. First off, the Salmon was overcooked and dry and I was so upset since I was craving a good piece of Salmon. The salad was still decent. My husband had their Hot Pastrami sandwich and this was excellent. His order always comes out perfect LOL! The good thing is when I told Brian about my fish he felt bad and compted the whole salad which was very nice of him. I will say I do like sitting on their patio when the warmer weather is here with a glass of wine, an app and people watch. Not sure if the food has gone down but I will say this place usually had better food and service than our last experience! Cheers~

We noticed the other side with larger tables was empty but was unfortunately closed off. The male bartender said we could sit on that side, and went around the table asking how much sobriety we had under our belts. Come to find out, he was also sober. While we ate dinner he kept people from that side, and we were able to enjoy a dinner together without being surrounded by others drinking which was AMAZING because all 6 of us are fairly recently sober. One in our party was actually experiencing his first time at a restaurant since quitting drinking. We appreciated the hospitality tenfold! Food was absolutely AMAZING and portions were stacked! It was a great ending to our night!!!
