Attention: when the ugly lights come on, look away. Dark and gloomy type of dive bar. Good jukebox and townie crowd. I enjoyed it

We were advised light snacks so figured we should probably get a base before heading that way. We walked in to the coolest Irish pub that opened up in the back. It was way bigger than I expected. We quickly ordered drinks and I ordered a Moscow mule (my go to). It was in a copper mug and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a beer, which he enjoyed too. We ordered some oysters and corn ribs for an appetizer. I had never had corn ribs before and was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I split the fish and chips and I'm really glad we did. The fish was extremely large and almost filled the plate. It was crispy and delicious. It was definitely well made. The sauce on the side was even better, too. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite and a pint.

Super relaxed atmosphere and tv's, so it would be a great place to watch a game. Friendly bartender and the fish and chips was good. They also have pizzas that looked great. My friend had a pesto with burrata and she said it was awesome. They also have gluten-free pizza, whihc is good to know. Our table neighbor had the pork chop, which also looked great. They have a small parking lot, which would fill up quickly. We went on a very "off" time, so we were able to park in that lot. Otherwise, you'd need to find street parking.

Bar seating was filled with most of the adjacent tables-for-two taken. We were more interested in a booth. Ample comfortable booth seating past the bar. Our waitress was exceptional. She guided us through the ample side dishes (for entrees) and explained the nuances of the Cider on tap. My friend ordered steak tips with mashed potatoes. I ordered turkeys tips with a side salad. We both ordered the (hard) Cider-served in a tall pint glass. We started with a basket of homemade chips. We both enjoyed our entrees (and took some of the steak tips home.) These are healthy-sized portions. The Cider was memorable. Chocolate cake for dessert was delicious (and more than two of us could finish.) Prices here are very reasonable. Ample free parking in front of the restaurant. We were the only people seated in a booth (we arrived at 5 pm) and with a full bar we could not hear any voices coming from the bar. I think we were the only non-regulars; I plan to become one!

We had a reservation and were seated right away on a nice large table for the five of us. Nice brick interior, a bit dark for my taste but I am old and couldn't see the menu too well, needed a cell light but super friendly server which always is a plus. Chose the Philly Cheese Steak and got the arugula salad which was fairly large for a side. Sandwich was also good-sized and I only could eat half but the other half made for a nice lunch the next day. Others were happy with their meals, I honestly forget what everyone ordered. The draft beers and other drinks came quickly and waitress was good about keeping our glasses full. Very responsive. Was sort of loud place is my only complaint. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant or on-street.

Now that I am leaving the state soon, I am in the middle of a mad dash to try all the places that…read moreI've mentally bookmarked before I am a thousand miles away. With this comes the anxiety that I will discover a mind-blowing place and kick myself for not heading in sooner. Thus, a disappointing experience doesn't hurt *quite* as bad. However, the foodie in me doesn't care about relocation... he cares about food. Lured in by reviews of my peers, I tried the Tokenfire Colada and the Ribeye Steak. The Colada seemed interesting and unique, and the steak looked mouthwatering in the pictures. Tokenfire Colada - This one was very sweet, peanuty, extremely creamy, and a little savory. The thickness kept it from being refreshing, and I am not sure if I would call it boozy either. Usually with cocktails I sip and sip until it's all gone well before the halfway point, like popcorn in a movie theater where the bag is gone by the end of the trailers. Then there was the Ribeye Steak. I don't know... something about one of the photos here possessed me to order it, though I almost never order steak at a restaurant (gosh knows why). The wait for this thing was considerable, more than I would expect for a medium-rare piece of meat, especially when it wasn't that busy. I can only imagine if all tables/bar seats were full and there was a waitlist! Eventually the steak made it to me, but... was it worth it? No, it was worth neither the wait, nor the money it cost. First, rather than being cooked medium-rare as requested, it was more a medium-well, at best. Second, some of the steak was extraordinarily chewy. Third and finally, I found it rather bland, while some salt was used in seasoning, this was very light. The steak came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. These two were also bland, and so forgettable I didn't remember them until I went to upload the photo of the dish. Finally, there is the question of vibe. It feels like a place with light tavern influences. Not at all bad to spend a couple hours. However, as a small quip, the purple/violet LEDs fly in the face of said vibe. Thus, we are left with a thoroughly underwhelming experience where I begrudgingly finished my items because I am not someone who likes to send food back. I am only glad I tried Tokenfire in that I won't regret never trying it.

We ordered Mexican corn, fried calamari, and chicken wings for the starters. We wanted to order the octopus, but it was unavailable. The corn has little seasoning compared to those at Mexican restaurants. The batter for the calamari was so crispy. It would be nice if it were fried clam belly, but this is not a seafood restaurant. The wings are crispy and a little spicy with the Thai chili sauce; this dish was a fusion dish for them. The main dishes are pork shank and rib-eye steak; it might be bland for some people because they use simple seasoning. The pork shank was tender and juicy, perfectly paired with broccolini, which I even placed another order to go. The rib-eye steak (medium rare) was tender and juicy but a little bland to me. My partner enjoyed it since he preferred simple seasoning on the steak. Both entrees were huge. Coming here with an empty stomach is better. It is reasonably priced and offers excellent service from a local restaurant. They need to update their menu
