If you're looking for the quintessential no-nonsense dive bar, this is it. This is one of those places that I don't frequent enough, yet every time I step foot inside, I won't leave until closing time. The bartenders are always one step ahead of you and are never anything but awesome, especially Judy, a total sweetheart. They properly do what bartenders should do: dole out ice cold (and CHEAP) PBR drafts and generous shots of whatever your heart desires. Popcorn machine is a bonus, nice TV's with a constant stream of anything sports-related, and a pretty killer online jukebox make for a proper night of drunken fun. The big draw is the entertainment on the weekends. There's never a cover, and the guy checking IDs at the door is actually a nice dude (unlike that fat piece of garbage and his leather daddy cop buddy over at the Beachcomber). And I cannot stress this enough, if you happen upon the right night when The Coalition is playing here, open up a tab and get comfortable, because they are arguably the best cover band you'll ever experience. They take your traditional classic rock cover sets and throw you habitual curveballs with stuff by the likes of Curtis Mayfield, The Roots, and even Amy Winehouse, nailing every one in the process. And luckily, Malachy's has a sufficient dance floor to efficiently cut a rug. I digress, this is a bar review after all. Just give this bar a shot, especially if you want to have a good time in Quincy Center with none of the douchebaggery of the typical "Quincy Center bar". I doubt you'll be disappointed. read more

They get one star for having a dart team and one star for being next door to Nick's Pizza & Little Duck. I've been to some shitty bars, but this is easily the filthiest place in all Quincy...and that's saying something. If you do end up here please just order a beer and sit at a table and do nothing else! That means dont use the bathroom, dont look at a patron the wrong way, try not to breathe too much and dont eat the popcorn! read more

This Dive in bar is really approachable and give you freedom to bring different food since they don't serve with in bar.You can play Dart and Pool table with couple of drinks.Pretty cool spot for weekends since they have live in music playing in evening. read more

Great dive bar. It's a 2 minute walk from my apartment. Cheap beer, keno, dart boards (3 of them), and a pool table. Friendly staff and nice patrons. Only issue is that they have no food, expect I believe steamed hotdogs. Oh yea, cash only but that doesn't bother me. read more

So - they don't have food, but sometimes I've grabbed a greek pizza from nick's next door, or some Thai from little duck - they're cool with you brining it in. informal irish seisuns on Wednesdays, tons of tvs... darts.. just the one pool table but you can often grab it. they'll bring your pint of Guinness out to you. never any trouble, great jukebox and patrons with great taste. Just a very friendly, neighborhood place. no frills - but it always has a fun, welcoming vibe and unlike the places on Hancock street, its not dominated by off the boat Micks demanding to watch soccer [as a Mick-American, I can say that]. I think they have rock bands in there every once in a while, but I'm not sure. I will say - apart from maybe weekends and Thursday, its not a meat market, it's not a place to meet women really - I mean... it's basically an Irish sports pub, and it's a great place to have a couple beers and watch baseball. read more

My friends and I have been going since we turned 21! The owners have to be some of the nicest people I've ever met! The bartenders are always great too and work their butts off to make sure everyone is satisfied, super personable too. We always play pool, scratch some scratchies, and just chill. Has to be one of my favorite bars in Quincy to go to with a bunch of friends! read more

We went there on 12/30/2018 for drinks and to play pool. We checked in at the bar and were refused service because we had out of state license. We are visiting for NYE and find it odd they would not take our Wisconsin license. The bartender was rude. We asked her what do they ask people from out of state since they won't take a license and her response was; I don't know, I'm not the owner. I found it offensive and revolting for someone to respond the way she did. We ended up going to, The Fours were our Wisconsin driver license was ACCEPTED! The owner needs to teach his bartenders people from other states tend to visit other states during the holidays. read more

I mainly come here because its so close to home... Decent place, cheap draft beer, just watch out for the mixed drinks - they tend to be a little pricey. The bartenders all seem really friendly and laid back. They have a pool table and two dart boards off to the side. They don't serve food, but they have chips in case you get the drunchies. They have keno, scratch ticket machine and jukebox. There's never too many drunken toolbags ruining the experience for you either. read more

What can I say about this place other than its a cozy neighborhood pub. The bartenders are great, the owners are very welcoming and Wednesday nights they have an Irish session. Harpoon IPA, Sam lager, guinnes all on tap which keeps me happy and a good juke box. You don't have to deal with the normal trash of Quincy center. read more

This is the ultimate Quincy neighborhood bar. The crowd ranges from the freshly 21 to the retired Irish man sipping on his pint while reading the newspaper. The service is friendly and it is home to all that enter. The Jukebox forever sings the clash with the occasional hiccup of a few 80s songs mixed in with some classic rock. This place is full or bar Olympics. There is a pool table, dartboards, pub game machine, Keno and a bunch of TVs. If you ever want to really feel the roar of a Boston crowd on a big game day this is your spot to pick. I do recommend, for your own safety, please only adorn yourself in Boston fan ware. The dress here is extremely casual and if you feel the need to dress up a pair of adidas warm up pants, shell toe shoes and a nice sweater will do you good.
