Particularly liked Madam Song's Fish soup, Creamy Crispy Shrimp, and Braised Shrimp /Egg / Napa cabbage. $10 corkage for champagne. 4 stars as would have appreciated a bit more waiter attention (lunch wasn't busy either), AND parking was BAD, and can only imagine it worse on a busy night. Covid-19 delivery update: I stayed away from this restaurant after getting food poisoning, but came back because I'd missed the food here and wanted to support a local restaurant during this difficult time. Food was delicious and delivery was quick, within 15 minutes! My first time trying their oxtail stew, and pleasantly surprised by the broth, which had great depths of flavor. Generous portion. Tried the cummin lamb and must say, being a fan of peppers and onions sauteed, it was damn good. Also ordered the bok choy and mushrooms (seasonal special) sauteed in garlic and oil and it was good. The service was perfect, the waiter explained the dishes very well. And even though he said his "English wasn't very good", we understood him just fine, & he -us. So this is what we had... -the "Couples" appetizer-a little bit too spicy for hubby, while I thought it was YUMMY. -green beans -well seasoned, and fresh. -fried rice (had many unique meat & vegetable additions, hubs LOVED IT) BEST thing of all--Creamy Shrimp--all I can say is WOW. The 15 (or more?!) shrimp were crispy with a mellow (buttery??) sweet white/clear sauce. No room for dessert! The server told us the Grand Opening is this month, March 2017. Came to this place several times with my family now, and I think it's safe to say this is our go-to Chinese-Szechuan restaurant. Anytime we want to show some friends or family good spicy Chinese food, we come here. Their food is amazing, always flavorful, always spicy (you can ask them to adjust the spice level; we go extra spicy every time ). I forget what the dishes are called in English but I'll try to describe lol. The spicy boneless chicken is bomb, the spicy pork intestine dish is on point, and the spicy soy sauce fried rice is PERFECTLY ADDICTING. Seriously my entire family loves their fried rice. And it's hard to please a traditional Chinese family on one of the most fundamental dishes in Chinese cuisine. Lastly, the staff is incredibly friendly. They come by to check on how you're doing, they have a good sense of humor, and are extremely cordial and patient with the customers. Probably gonna come here again soon haha. read more

We ordered kung pao chicken, cumin lamb, pork and chive dumplings, and finally fish and eggplant clay pot. Cumin lamb is outstanding as usual, nice spice level to it. Kung pao chicken was really good too. The dumplings are nice sized and filled with good portion of chives, better than most places. The fish was equally excellent. Walking down the street, it's the first place I came to. Went in, 2 waiters, neither said hello. Not a word when showed to the table. Wanted some tea with lunch. No tea, hot or cold. What Chinese restaurant doesn't have tea? Ordered appetizer (egg plant) and main dish (Shrimp and Scallops). Both were good. Both served at same time without any delay. Rice was additional price...is that normal? Waiters standing around. After 10 minutes, finally got one's attention to get water refilled. PREVIOUS REVIEW: As we ate, we noticed the servers bringing a box to several tables as they were finishing up. They pulled out a red envelope that obviously had some type of promotion in it (not an entirely rare thing for new Chinese restaurants to do, usually it is a "percentage off your next meal" voucher.) So when the box was not offered and we inquired about it, two servers gave evasive answers, one of them mumbling it was an online promotion. Which was plainly not true as many of the patrons were surprised or at first confused by the box. We deducted it was because they only wanted to give it away to mainlanders like themselves. No repeat business from us nice Taiwanese folks then! (Why ruin an otherwise decent meal with such petty behavior?) EDIT: One of our servers (who self identified as Taiwanese) emailed me and said they strive to treat everyone equally and did not discriminate against us. He reiterated that it was an online promotion which was not available for everyone. I believe him but I also stand by my observation that they gave the promotion away to some customers who had no prior knowledge of it. Either way, I am awarding 2 stars because the food and service (tea refills and checking up on us) was decent. We really enjoyed the Szechuan restaurant. Every dish we ordered: chicken wings, couple's delight appetizer, sesame pancakes, garlic shrimp, fried pork, fried rice, and chili oil dumplings. The dishes were fresh and authentic. I especially liked the garlic shrimp. They were big prawns, flash-fried in a garlic, sugar coating. Based on a recommendation we gave Royal Feast a try last weekend and are extremely glad we did. DELICIOUS! All food was extremely fresh and served piping hot. The dumplings were delicate, flavorful and meaty. We will be back for more. Crispy prawns were perfectly cooked as was the fried cabbage. We were in the mood for noodles and enjoyed their chow mein. Truly good chow mein (and we have tried a lot of chow mein across the bay area). Crab fried rice was very good. The boneless crispy fried chicken was unique and very tasty. Different from your typical Chinese restaurant, Royal Feast's upscale flavors, good service (Josh was great) and varied menu has something for everyone. Whether you crave fried rice and noodles, or seafood and duck, Royal Feast will satisfy everyone's cravings. I will cap off this review by raving about the amazing dessert - sesame paste rice ball in walnut soup. I would come back for this alone. The smooth, sweet delicious mochi like dumpling suspended in the warm silky walnut soup base was amazing! That is a must try. Four of us came for dinner, and we were all underwhelmed. The host suggested Peking Duck the day before, when we made our reservation. This turned out to be a disappointment. As soon as we sat down they served up this plate of trimmed brown ( not red) duck meat with skin on, without even asking if we wanted any drinks. The flavors were muddy and kind of bland.The following huge bowl of duck soup was also very earthy with no high points. Lastly the BBQ'd bones were the tastiest , if most difficult to extract, meats form that bird. Not worth the special price of $ 30- . The dishes we ordered off the menu proved to be better : Eggplant and fish claypot for $ 12 was really good as was the curried lamb. We asked for recommendations and were steered toward the two most expensive dishes on the menu, which seemed a bit tacky. The menu is extensive with lots of reasonably priced options. We saw pork intestines offered a few places on the menu,which was kind of new for us. In general, the service was inattentive, even though the place is rather small and there were a lot of staff on duty. The interior is fairly plain ,white walls with some ornately framed prints and photos. Hard to see what they did special to make it into the article in the Chron in Dec '17. I came here based upon the reviews on Yelp and wanted to really like this place as I was looking over the menu I realized I might have been a little bit overwhelmed as I've not heard of some of these dishes? But based upon some reviews on Yelp I decided to go with the King pao chicken. I asked my server if it was really spicy and he said oh no it's not spicy at all. Well the plate comes out and is full of red chillies and it was extremely overwhelming I had to pick out all of the Chili's just to finish the dish. The place was full of families and a lot of them are doing family style meals which I get and I understand those look better actually than what I had ordered. Worst customer service I have experienced thus far from any establishment. I would have given 0 stars if possible. It was a good start when our wait, for a party of six (6), was less than 30 minutes. We ordered a total of five (5) dishes, the scallion pan cake and Cumin lamb came first after 15 minutes of placing our orders. We asked for waters from a server to which he responded very rudely. We then proceeded to wait 45 minutes until the crab meat and egg white fried rice came to our table. Between the first two dishes and the third dish, none of the servers came to check-up on our table. Our table witnessed another table of two get their meal before another table of two, who had been waiting for an hour, get their meal. I am giving this place 4 stars rather than 5 because my parents and I thought the food was too salty. We took my cousin here for his birthday and ordered like eight different dishes. I can't remember the names of everything, but we mostly ordered vegetarian and seafood dishes. The string beans were particularly good, as was the cucumber salad and the eggplant and fish dish. I didn't try the cumin lamb, as I don't really eat meat, but my mom said it was super salty. I would consider going back if I happen to be back in the area, but I don't really go to Millbrae very often. I was in Millbrae for a work trip and wanted good Chinese food somewhere that wasn't downtown SF or Chinatown because of traffic, so I checked Yelp and went with the non-advertiser location with the best ratings. Royal Feast did NOT disappoint! I'm a Nashville native and love Nashville-style Hot Chicken, and love lots of spicy foods. I ordered the Chongqing Spicy Chicken with a side of steamed rice. The Chongqing was very close to Nashville Hot Chicken in flavor profile. It was well cooked, but not overcooked. The garlic and ginger slivers were wonderful, but I could have used even more of them just because I liked them so much. I think they must use about 50 little Chinese peppers in the dish, because they were what everything was sitting in.  The hot green tea was the best I've ever had anywhere.  The night my party of 3 went, we were one of only 2 or 3 tables being served, so it was nice and quiet on the rainy night. The dining room was clean and the young adult waiters were very attentive and polite.  If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely choose Royal Feast for some new Chinese food experiences. read more
