I found it odd that he didn't give me a specific price, especially since he mentioned working there for over 20 years. The price seemed high, so I only gave him the one I needed sooner than later. I then did some research and checked multiple cleaners in the area and most quoted me $12, a couple $15. I got the call today that my shirt was done. I picked it up and it was altered beautifully, a tailored fit. The problem is, I was then charged $24. Twice as much as everyone else and $4 more than I was quoted. One for the price of two? Never again.

But I needed them done and the location was convenient, so I went ahead anyway. I was told to come back the following Friday, and when I did, I was genuinely impressed. The dresses looked absolutely *gorgeous* -- the work was clean, professional, and exactly what I had asked for. Now, here's the part that threw me off: the price. I didn't ask for a quote beforehand (completely my fault), so the final bill was a real shocker. Honestly, had I known the cost upfront, I probably wouldn't have gone through with it. My guess is alterations aren't their preferred line of work, and the pricing reflects that -- maybe even to discourage repeat requests. That said, I'm still giving five stars because the quality was fantastic and they delivered exactly what I asked for. I take full responsibility for not confirming the cost ahead of time. My husband also brings his shirts here for cleaning and loves the service. We'll continue to come here for that -- just not for alterations in the future.
