I do not use wash houses often except for my large bedding and dog bedding that can't fit in my small apartment washer and dryer. This place is fairly clean and has decent hours. This is near a thoroughfare for a transient so random people will stop or walk in also consider what hour you are there. I really like how clean it is and that it has free internet (but pretty slow). Did not see any restrooms (which is okay). Machines are relatively new and people in here don't look like they belong on some corner, so it looks pretty safe. Very small parking lot, but have free parking the lot next door. The x-small wash is $3.50, small/medium? is $4.50 and the rest are $5.50 and beyond. Drying is around $.75 for 20 min. One of the things I don't like is that you have to have the card. You can get one of the cards from where I left a picture. Besides the higher price, everything is by card. I absolutely dislike it. It is said that it is used to keep machines from breaking but it took me 5 attempts to find 1 working dryer, so those card receivers are even more likely to break. I saw one lady give up with the card system and just threw her clothes back in her car wet. When the dryer did work, instead of doing 20 minutes it automatically sucked up everything else left on my card and multiplied it by 20 min. Luckily, I only had $1.50 left. Make sure to have 2 separate cards for washing and drying because of this! read more

This is the nicest laundromat in town! It uses a card system so there are no quarters to bother with. Put your cash into the machine and it hands you a refillable card. There is also an ATM in the store in case you need cash. All of the washers and dryers are newer and spotlessly clean and polished. There is free wifi. The signal is stronger near the back of the store. The new owner was there and he told me he will be installing a wifi booster so the front of the store is better served. Parking is limited but there is plenty of overflow parking in the parking lot just east of the laundromat. The owner recently purchased the laundromat and is really taking care of his customers. One customer was there and forgot her wallet with her laundry card inside so he paid for all of her laundry. I really like this place! read more

There's a sign on the side entrance when you enter the place telling you where you can park. The WiFi stop working for me for few minutes. I have to disconnect and re-connect. Now since they force you to buy a card to use the machine, you will notice you will always have extra money on the card. The prices is kind of weird on the machine too. The dryer is .75 cents when it usually takes a $1 (.25 per cycle) to dry your clothes? The seating is very limited. The places you can seat is next to the window and depending on what time you go, you might be under the sun. They need to add tinted windows and blinds or curtains to the window. Overall - Even though you will always have extra money on the card, it's still cheaper than going to the other laundry places. I'm guessing it's because to help pay the bills to operate the laundry place. Tip!! - As you walk in from the side entrance, look to your right on the wall near the trash and recycle cans. Washworld is the best most convenient laundry spot there is. You use a card and refill that so no quarters. There are a ton of washers and dryers, including two large load washers. I've never sees a washer or dryer broken. The staff are pretty nice and always accommodating with any questions. There is wifi. I go during off hours because parking is limited directly out front. The patrons take all kinds!! But I've only had them be respectful to me, and have never been asked for change etc. I moved into a sweet cottage that has no laundry. Although yes it's a bummer to not have laundry, Washworld makes it bearable! It's a life saver. read more

"More convenient" my ass. Look, every coin-op laundromat I've ever been to in my life has at least two change machines, and they break at least 5s, if not larger bills. And if they don't break 10s and 20s, sometimes there's an attendant on hand who breaks bills for you. Or there's usually shops nearby where you can get a coffee or candy bar or something first. So this whole "convenient swipe card!!!" thing is spurious from jump street. But I'd be fine with it if it worked. Problem is, it doesn't. Oh, the machine that takes your money works with a 100% success rate. Everything else, washers, dryers, soap dispenser, seems to be a total crapshoot as to whether it'll actually read your card or not. I literally tried every one of the small $2.25 washers and not one would read a card (I ended up buying two trying to troubleshoot the stupid things.) A handful of the more expensive front-loaders would take it, so that's what I had to use, even though I had small loads. I don't know if the dude who own the place ever actually shows up or sends a worker. There was no one there in the morning on a weekday, just a voice mail number to call, or a mail slot to drop a message through, for this guy to get back to you at whatever his convenience happens to be. Which would be great if you had a load of wet laundry and suddenly all the dryers started refusing to take your card. Avoids one star just because I actually did manage to get my laundry done on two trips, albeit with a bunch of swearing and hassle. It's also pretty clean, but the atmosphere is weird. Since it's not attended, parole guys come in to charge their ankle bracelets, and kids mooch off the free wifi. There's really limited seating that gets eaten up by this, and the area is skeezy enough that I don't want to leave my clothes in the dryer unattended. Oh, that reminds me, my first trip, I got begged at by two different tweakers who walked in in the span of 10 minutes. And there's a video tape looping some sort of NASA videos constantly for some reason. The vibe is just bizarre. Well, it's a laundromat, which is hard to get excited about. Wash World is clean, the machines often are all in working order (and they work well), and there are cool spots under the downdraft registers. They get the basics right, but then there are extras like free wireless and a lav sink with paper towels to make the chore a little easier. One star off for displaying TV in an incorrect aspect ratio (pixels are SQUARE, damn it!) and because parking in the tiny lot can sometimes get hairy. I have no quarrel with the cards. Came here today with my husband to wash about 30 large white tablecloths and all of the napkins from our wedding reception. I scoped out a few of the large $8.00-per-load washers while my husband hauled in the bags of laundry and soap and our jar of quarters I was looking forward to offloading so we didn't have to dip into our bank account...post wedding budget and all. SURPRISE! Not a single coin slot in the place. You have to put your cash money on a swipe card. I get that a swipe card is convenient if you constantly come here but for all of the rest of us who come once to wash large loads of stuff we can't do at home it is ridiculously inconvenient. Of course you can't use your debit card, so we had to get cash from the ATM, with a $2.00 atm fee, in order to get a swipe card. I told my husband not to put the whole $20 on the swipe card because we never go to the laundromat, and we'd lose that extra money as they obviously don't give refunds on unused cards...just another way for the owner to make money. Husband put the $20 in the bill changer and SURPRISE!! It took our $20 and gave us $10 back, plus an error code. Grrrrrreat. We eventually got our tablecloths in, and then transferred them to the dryer. After they dried, we opened up the first dryer and got to folding. Upon opening the second dryer we used...SURPRISE! Every one of my white tablecloths, about 15 in this load, were covered in black splotches of ink or oil from the dryer. I know that it was NOT on them before I put them in the dryer and I did not find anything in the dryer that would have caused it, like an ink pen or anything else. Right about then we noticed a guy come in with a screwdriver and start working on the machine next to us. We ask if he is the fix-it guy and he said "I am the everything guy." Presumably the owner. We told him the bill changer ate our $10 and he went and took a look and gave us our $10 back, although without any explanation or apology. Then I pointed out that the dryer ruined about $200 worth of tablecloths , and he shrugged it off and said something about me having to look inside the dryer before I put anything in there. I'm sorry, I would have noticed if there was something in the drum when I opened the door. I didn't argue the point because he seemed completely uninterested and unsympathetic. When we left he was peering inside the dryer with a flashlight, apparently looking for that mysterious leaky ink pen I missed. I hope he at least put a note on the door so the next person washing the family clothing doesn't have it ruined. All in all, waste of time and money, poor customer service and my tablecloths ruined. All the reviews here weave rather well. Automated. Unattended most of the time, and YES the machines you put money in are much easier to operate than the machines that provide your service. They really need to make the washers and dryers card readers less critical because it's waay too time consuming to prep a machine and then have to reload another because it won't read your card. The old card I saved in my wallet doesn't work anymore. I called and did get a call back. The lady gave me an address for me to mail my card for a refund, but I lost it. I unexpectedly stayed longer in Santa Rosa and needed to wash clothes. One card machine was out of cards. The other had a card stuck inside. No attendant on duty. I called again and left a voice mail but was not called back. Fortunately someone overheard me and gave me his card that he said had 35 cents on it. Their price structure on wash and dry is such that you typically have some odd and unusable amount left on your card. So now I have 2 cards totaling about $30 and I'm writing this about 600 miles away. My heart goes out to the homeless community of Downtown Santa Rosa. Maybe I don't know enough but it appears that local business like this and nearby fast food restaurants are doing more to help them than any city, county or NGO. Unattended or semi-attended, it doesn't seem to matter. One or more bums are always around. Watching television. Recharging their smart phones. Most seem to keep to themselves, but I've been approached a few times. It's best to just say "I'm sorry." and they're alright with that. They wash their clothes too so you can't really judge anyone. I will rate this with five stars because they do have Free Wi-Fi and it works great. read more

This place used to be our favorite to wash our clothes up until the last couple of months when it began to go to the dark side. It never fails to have a crowd of homeless people camping inside during the early hours of the day, which is the time we like to come over and use the machines. Sometimes it even seems like some of those people spend the night inside the premises. It appears the place recently changed ownership and the first thing we noticed was the prices going up. Used to go here all the time when I lived close. I prefer the card reader to tokens in theory however I have had issues with card not working. Also had machines fail a few times. They refund your money but it's a hassle. Also, it's always packed full of people, so really hard to find parking, and often have to wait. Just too darn small to be so centrally located. read more

The machines are card readers. They do not work every time. Pull up a stool and keep putting the card in over and over until it takes. No attendant on duty. This place is a rip off. I had enough to start a washer and when I inserted and pressed start the machine did nothing. Checked the balance on my card and the machine robbed me of the 3.50 I had on my card because the washer never started. Then one of the large dryers doesn't start and then when I transferred my clothes to the smaller dryer it won't allow me to add more time so I had to wait till the dryer stopped and change dryers to finish drying my clothes. Yes the cards can be a bit stubborn but it's so much better than using those darn quarters! One thing I don't like about this place is the narrow aisles on the wash side next to the walls. It can get crowded with all those carts going to and fro. And there isn't proper clearance. But the machines definitely do the job. It's well maintained and clean. read more

My dryer was not working, so had to go to the Laundromat. Read the review, and this one was open early, so I went. It all worked out great. No homeless, per other reviews. Just a few people there, but everybody was friendly and helpful. My clothes were dry with just one cycle, using Medium. Only cost .75 cents a load. Place was very clean, then have Wi-Fi and have the password posted. I use to hate going to any Laundromat, but this worked out well. read more

The washers are clean as well as dryers. Quick and washes well. They have different size of washers which makes laundry time a lot quicker. On the other hand, there are homeless inside sitting on chairs and hiding from cold and charging their phones, some of them can clear the room with horrifying odor and the weed smell! One time i had to pass by to get to a small washer by an older man that literally barked and clinched his teeth. He had a big bag and looked like he was just warming up, was not doing laundry. I think they owner needs a system that people can do laundry not afraid and not have to smell weed or odors of homeless people charging their phones. Makes me sad because they have nowhere to go. I think i will need to stick with my super busy laundry place at my apartment complex :-( Owners please do something!!! read more

Imagine washing a very large comforter in a very large washer and ending up with a heavy sopping wet item that can't even be put in a dryer. Calls to the owner were not answered and today his mailbox is full. Now I have to find a location where they can spin the water out. Well considering the first time I used this laundry mat my clothes were STOLEN out of the dryer. No joke. and It was very frustrating trying to actually talk to management about the situation. There is often no one on duty working. So if u have a problem with a machine or have your clothes stolen there is probably not going to be any one there to help you. You have to leave a note and wait for someone to call you back. Which someone eventually did and of course it didn't get my brand new sheets back that were stolen. But oh well. This place has been rather convenient for me and not always the easiest place to do my laundry but the dryers work great and it's only 3 minutes from my house. The magnetic cards are honestly more annoying than helpful though. TOday I went in and the money machine wouldn't even take my money or accept my card to add more money to it. Yes Lots' of bums and sometimes they are doing there laundry and wearing only there coat and underwear. But hey' if they don't bother me, i don't really mind. One more annoying thing is there aren't enough carts and people like to "claim" them when it's really busy and then u see people hoarding them even though they aren't even using them,,,,and then when someone actually needs to drag 3-4 loads from the washer to the dryer or to fold them.....u have to get real crafty. I took my sofa cover in, as it was too big for my washer and they have those huge commercial machines at Wash World....what a bummer. when i pulled it out of the dryer it stank.....i can't get the smell out in my machine and certainly don't want to use theirs again.....plus i called and left a message the night it happened and never did get a return call. i hate those cards. obviously a scam as they only round off to the dollar and i'll never go back again to use the balance on my card....whats wrong with quarters....obviously nothing unless you want to make something for nothing. read more
