I think if you come to this fairly new location looking to recapture the nostalgia of the past, you are setting yourself up for failure. I know when I was a child everything fast food tasted amazing, because it was a treat we would only get maybe twice a month. With that in mind and expectations low, I was overall satisfied. The drive thru line was a bit of a wait, but it was a long line so I waited patiently. Once I received my food and was able to eat it, I did enjoy the chicken -nice flavor, crunchy skin, with moist meat. The side of potatoes kinda had a school lunch taste, but they were edible. I would try the fries next time. I'm not in a rush, but I'll return at some point.

I grew up going to Roy Rogers, so finding one about an hour away brought back a lot of memories. The restaurant is cute, clean, and has plenty of seating both inside and outside, plus a drive-thru and its own parking lot. The staff was friendly, and it wasn't crowded, which made the visit more enjoyable. The food, though, was just okay. The chicken tasted like it had been fried earlier and kept warm, the biscuits were a little dry, and the coleslaw wasn't good at all. The star of the meal was definitely the mashed potatoes and gravy. Prices felt a bit high for what's offered, but if you're looking for a little trip down memory lane, it's worth a stop. Just don't expect the same magic it once had.

When I was a kid there was a Roy Rogers down the road from our house. Friday nights we would go there like pilgrims to a holy site, except our relics were roast beef sandwiches, Double R Bar Burgers, fried chicken, biscuits, and the great Fixin's Bar. The Fixin's Bar was a democratic paradise. Everyone was equal before the BBQ Sauce pump. I would make what I thought was the greatest sauce on Earth. Equal parts horseradish sauce and ketchup, stirred with a French fry until it turned the color of a salmon that had made a bad decision. You may think that sounds awful. It is not. When I heard that after decades without one, Roy Rogers was opening in Cherry Hill, I felt something between joy and disbelief. It was like learning your favorite childhood toy had been resurrected and was waiting for you in the living room. I went at lunchtime today and the place was jumping. The parking lot was a demolition derby in miniature. Either the design is bad or the drivers are bad or we are all bad. Inside it was clean and bright. I ordered a Double R Bar Burger combo and a fried chicken drumstick. My burger was still steaming when I unwrapped it and there was a generous piece of ham on top. I put some BBQ sauce on it and it was good enough to make me close my eyes for a moment and remember my family across the table, already halfway through their meals. The fried chicken though tasted like it had been cooked last week and stored in a desert. None of the seasoning I remembered. Just dry meat trying to hide behind a tired crust. Several Yelp reviewers have said they got sick here. I waited a few hours before writing this and am glad to report no gastric distress. Three stars because half my meal was wonderful and half was a sad reminder that the past lives in memory not in Cherry Hill.

I'm a sucker for a Roy Rogers - working at the mall in the 80s Roys was my go to meal. So when I heard they were opening in Cherry Hill I couldn't wait to check them out. We waited a bit since we weren't interested in waiting in all those long lines for "fast food" so today when there was no line we jumped on in. It's still bringing in the crowd and the dining room was full. We ordered and anxiously anticipated our burgers and our visit to the infamous "fixins bar". So many friendly, attentive staff. We didn't wait long before the food was ready. For not remembering they had chicken. It was memorable. Crispy, juicy and every bit as tasty as KFC. Our burgers were good and rank high on the fast food level burger maybe coming in just under a Wendy's burger, but the fixins bar is where it takes center stage. Just about anything you could want to top your burger with right there at your fingertips. It did run low during our visit but the attentive staff was on it and no one went without. We will be back to Roys, as it was only a treat to be found on road trips we now have easy access to this one. Be patient with them as they are new and the lines can get crazy. Once the novelty dies off I'm sure you will find the Cherry Hill Roys one of go to fast food joints.

When I first heard Roy Rogers was coming back to South Jersey, I was ecstatic. I grew up on those roast beef sandwiches and burgers piled high at the Fixins Bar. It felt like something good and familiar was making a comeback. When I finally got there--three days after opening--the line was wrapped around the inside, cops were outside directing traffic, and the energy was electric. On the way home, I even started drafting a glowing review in my head. But a few hours later, everything changed. My stomach started to cramp. Nothing major at first--until it was. I was doubled over by evening, in full-blown agony by nightfall. I spent the entire night vomiting and sweating through waves of nausea that left me completely wrecked. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Now it's the next day, and I'm still in bed, wiped out, feeling like a truck hit me. This wasn't a little stomach ache or indigestion. This was food poisoning, plain and brutal. I don't know what it was--maybe something off with the meat, maybe cross-contamination at that beloved Fixins Bar--but something went very wrong. And while I wanted to love this place, and I did for a few fleeting hours... I'm now left feeling burned. Literally and figuratively. Be careful. I hope they fix whatever went wrong, but I won't be back to find out.

After a morning of shopping we pulled into the Roy Roger's drive thru for a two piece fried chicken and biscuit with mashed potatoes and gravy. I was able to order quickly but I waited at least 7 mins before receiving the food. Everything was warm and good.

The current food menu needs a retro overhaul. The company should have remained as it was 30+ years ago when it a was super popular place for all ages to frequent. I remember going there as a child and since it was considered a special treat to go out, it sticks out in my memories as an enjoyable and tasty experience. As the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The food here slaps but probably not as hard as the comments I'll see! Had the steak sandwich with cheese and it was not bad. Always could use more meat but that's because it's a fast food place. Super soft bun, steak was good onions etc. It brought back the memories of high school, being a mall rat, late night drinking and needing food, and broken dreams. Probably why I need to go see my therapist again. The creamy coleslaw hit well with the steak and cheese sandwich. And it even made me feel better thinking I'm eating more healthy having coleslaw instead of french fries. Inside and out clean and welcoming and the staff was super friendly and talkative. Definitely need to go here especially if you remember it as a kid. I always felt their burgers and food were a bit above other fast food options.

I was really excited for this fast food chain to make a come back, it was so good years ago! I went to this location and ordered the roast beef sandwich and it wasn't cooked all the way it was so pink. The chicken fingers were okay and the only thing that was still really good from what I remembered was the muffins! The service was kinda slow they were very busy but, the staff was friendly.

    Fried chicken to go!

Delicious, crispy fried chicken! I ate the fried chicken before reading the reviews, so I was very worried about food poisoning. But fortunately I felt fine. The chicken was very tasty. For reference, I ordered inside (not drive-thru), so I could watch how they were handling and packing the food. When you're there watching, they're more attentive. I could see how people got sick though: the fixings table was exposed, hands grabbing this and that, and the tables and restaurant itself could be cleaner. If there's an adult manager there ensuring sanitary handling of food and general cleanliness, that would be key to this old classic's success.

I had absolutely no idea there was a Tacoria this close to one of my family home locations until I…read morespotted it on the map. My very first Tacoria experience was at the Edgewater, NJ location. Needless to say, I was hooked. I've tried so much on their menu across multiple locations, met some of the most genuinely kind staff, and I just keep coming back. When I say my man & I have Tacoria often, I mean it - the quality never disappoints no matter which location we go to. PARKING The parking lot is on the smaller side, but I pulled in around 4:30 PM on a Friday and had zero trouble finding a spot. ATMOSPHERE This location is absolutely gorgeous. You can really feel small bits and pieces of Philadelphia woven into the space; I genuinely loved seeing that reflected here. Tacoria always brings an amazing atmosphere no matter where you go, and this location is no exception. There is also outdoor seating available when the weather allows it. I could have easily eaten in and felt a little bittersweet about not doing so. That said, the inside is beautiful. MENU & FOOD Since my man is usually the one ordering for us, I had to take a moment to recall our go to order. The big menu board is a lot to take in at once, so I appreciated that Justin, the guy working the counter, handed me one of the smaller menus to look through. That made it so much easier to find what I usually get. I ordered the burrito box with Brussels sprouts and carne asada (double the protein), the Nutella nachos (which are my absolute favorite, they're a must), and an agua fresca. I swear if Tacoria started selling Agua Fresca by the gallon I would buy it! Fair warning: I am never fully able to finish a whole burrito box in one sitting. I can usually get through about three quarters of it, but honestly that is not a complaint at all because Tacoria tastes just as delicious the next day warmed up. For the agua fresca, I went with my usual horchata, but there are three options available: horchata, limonada, and guava and basil. My boyfriend's go-to is the limonada that he mixes with the guava. They also have regular refreshments available, but if you're new here, please try an agua fresca, you will not regret it. For sauces, they have to go containers to fill up at your disgression, I loaded up on salsa verde, habanero, smoky roja, and Valentina. I just love building out my burrito box with literally all of them. For a Polish girl, I LOVE SPICY FOOD. LOCATION I originally knew the other south jersey location, but that one has always been a bit too far out for me. According to Justin, this location opened up in August 2025. Therefore, knowing that this one is so close now is genuinely dangerous for my wallet; I can already see myself ordering here way too often, and I am completely fine with that. Tacoria started in New Brunswick and has been growing and expanding ever since, and I'm thrilled to see it making its way into this area. More people deserve to have access to this food. ALL IN ALL, I have to give a huge shoutout to Justin, because he genuinely made this first-time experience at this location so special. We were talking back and forth while I looked through the menu, and he was warm, helpful, and just the kind of person you're happy to interact with. At the end of it all, he comped my agua fresca because it was my first visit to this location, and honestly, that kind of generosity and hospitality says everything about the culture of this place. I went back in after I had already walked out just to get his name so I could mention him here, because that level of customer service deserves to be recognized. Tacoria is always going to be my go-to for a feel-good, delicious, well-made meal when I want to treat myself. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is always amazing, and the people make every single visit worthwhile. If you have never been, I cannot recommend it enough. Just go.

They were seasoned exceptionally well, thick, and crispy. Absolutely delicious. Only complaint is we ordered two, received one. Fried pickles were kicked up a notch from your average pickle chips. The pasta dish was a huge portion, but it was on the dry side with the flavor of "funk" - not sure if there was a bleu cheese in the mix or what, but it was weird and almost mildewy in taste. The burgers were okay. Can't complain about them, but they're nothing memorable. The sauce was slightly off putting, so it was a real disappointing that they didn't put it on the side, as requested. It made the lettuce super soggy. The burger meat itself was tasty, but not as good as say a Shake Shack burger. We won't order again because it was pricey for what we got, and it just wasn't great.
