I've tried Dave's Hot Chicken twice now, once from DoorDash and the other as a walk in. They were consistently great both times. I like their simple, straightforward menu. Sliders, Tenders or bites (also offered in Cauliflower if you're anti-meat), then choose your spice level and you're off! I have tried the medium, hot and extra hot spice levels. I enjoy spicy food and felt like the medium has very little spice but the difference between medium and hot was significant (specifically on the tenders when there isn't that bread to soften the blow). The flavor is fantastic! The chicken was cooked really well, moist and tender. Great spice flavoring and adding a little bit of honey (which they provide at no extra cost) makes these extra delicious. The service in store was also great! Very patient, thorough, and friendly. Every thing is almost the same big chicken strips big portions, different degrees of spice or no spice either on a bun or strips with a slice of what seem to me be stall bread. Because I'm working to get my spice tolerance up I asked the cashier what she suggested and she promised me that the mild was just that, mild. She described it as smoky and spicy. I enjoyed everything and was kinda surprised that the cauliflower slider was good. It's not chicken don't expect that. It was flavorful and again I was surprised that the kale goes well on the sandwich because Im not a huge kale fan because who has time to be chewing ruffage all night. It was good. There is so much positives from Dave's Hot Chicken. First of all, the staff were super friendly. They gave us suggestions on what to eat, as we were first timers. The restaurant was nice, and it had a nice A/C. It is also convenient, as it is right off of a highway. The food was awesome, however if you don't like slice, go with no spice.
