Finally got to enjoy The BankBar, and it did not disappoint at all. We've known about their full schedule of weekly activities for a while, and getting a little more info while dining in here made us even more interested in following along on their Facebook page. We sat at the bar, and the super friendly staff made us feel right at home, which made the whole experience even better. We started with the buffalo chicken flatbread, which had a nice crispy bottom and just enough celery for a satisfying crunch. They also had a special burger on the menu with a salty pretzel bun that was really good and definitely a mouthful. The chicken sandwich was big too, and they didn't skimp on the fries or crispy chips. The drinks were great, and with the happy hour deal, the bill felt very reasonable. What a great find! I was a little unsure at first since I'm not really into bar-type places, but this spot completely exceeded my expectations. The bank rolls, dry rub wings, and whiskey wings were absolutely amazing--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Service was friendly and fast, which made the experience even better. Really good food. It's definitely just bar food but it's good. The music was good. I like that. They have a outdoor area. I do wish that it was a little lust vanilla but overall pretty great time. I will say some of the bartenders seem to be standoffish, which is annoying because I used to be a bartender and I will very much treat you well if you treat me well, but some of them seem to be a bit standoffish. read more

Was in the area looking at a vehicle, so went to my trusty yelp to guide me to a reason for the trip! Lo' and behold, the highest ratings in this area was The BankBar. Was it a bank? Was it a church? We don't know but it's fantastic! It seems to be the bar where everyone knows everyone and we were fine being new. Service was fantastic. Ambiance was a local bar. Lots of selections for drinks and food. We got the Bank Rolls (delish) the Apple Brie Flatbread (double delish) and a special, Pork Poutine (triple-y delish). I also had a Rolling Rock, which I haven't had for over 20 years and my hubs had a Kona beer, that he loved. I would come back just for the food! Keep it up Bank Bar! read more

The bar area is wide open... my Barkeep has a great personality. The is okay for a quick bit to eat. It's not five star, however it's okay for a beer and shot joint. They also have billiard tables, which is a plus. read more

I've tried to find a cheesesteak as good as "The Cheesesteak Shop" in San Francisco FOR AT LEAST A DECADE but to avail...until tonight. Wow! Unbelievable! Wow!! Hidden gem for sure!! I kept hearing about this place as a place to check out if you're looking for some good wings.. and this place definitely did not disappoint!! Located in Gloucester City.. easy to miss, i almost passed right by it but saw drink signs lol Came for the wings and keeps me wanting more! Their wings were nice a crispy with really good options for flavors, big plus is they had a dry rub (my fav). You have the option for bone in, boneless or chicken tenders. 6, 12, or 20 wings. Definitely thinking this is one of my top wing places for sure!!! Cheesesteak eggrolls were also really good and i liked how they came out sliced! The inside is a good vibe... a huge bar with tons of seat around it. Stained glass windows.. makes it feel like I'm drinking at church haha. And there was an upstairs area.. not sure on how big it is. Definitely a nice place to check out. We went here on a Sunday around 12:30. It wasn't very busy, but it picked up once the Phillies game started. The Bar was huge with plenty of seating. The TV's were all positioned in a good spot so you didn't have to tweak your neck to look at them. The cocktail menu was pretty amazing and the Bar tender definitely knew what she was doing. My favorite was a mule that had a vanilla whisky in it with cranberry and ginger beer. The food was also pretty amazing. Nothing tastes like it was microwaved or frozen. It all tasted like it was fresh. The wings came out crispy (even the whisky glazed ones) and piping hot on the inside. The dry rub tasted like it was a mix of different chipotle spices and a great option if you don't want to get too messy. The cheesesteak egg rolls came out nice and crispy on the outside. The cooper cheese was a nice touch on the steak. I think we found a new place to watch the Phillies. read more

The food is very good. The waitress / bartenderis very personable. The . The tap beer is at best chilled you can't call it a cold beer. Most beers should be served between 38 and 45 degrees. This is an easy fix. The facility itself could be a really nice place but the bathrooms are hardly functional. If it's broke, it doesn't get fixed. It could use a good cleaning. There is no real organization to the place. The purpose of my post it's for it to be informative for both customers thinking of going there and the ownership. I will try it again in a couple of weeks and see if anything is done. If it has been, I will remove this post and update you all. read more

Best cheesesteak, period. So good, I went back the next day. During that trip, my father and I (who lived in the Philly area for years) bought frozen ingredients for four for our flights the next morning. Two to California and the other two to Kentucky.
