Even though I've passed Croce's Pasta a million times and never stopped in, today was the day to change that. Grabbed their house made cutlets and tomato sauce for dinner and I just heated it, added fresh sliced mozzarella. The cutlets were absolutely spectacular, same with the sauce. Only $13 for the 2 cutlets with a tub of sauce. Now every time I drive by I'm going to have to pick up cutlets because mistakes were made in the past by not coming here sooner. This is one thorough Italian Specialty shop. I only come in for the sandwiches sometimes while in working. But this guy has everything. Pastas, oils, cheeses, sauces, spices... You name it, he has it. Looking around this store and you'd swear that its been operating for 40-50 years. It obviously isn't a new concept business. But it is what's needed in every neighborhood. They deli is stocked with imported meats, cheeses, salads, etc.... The rolls have a nice crust and a great taste. Parking on Rt 70 is limited, but since this is a corner business, there's plenty of places to park around the corner. Definitely a good place to stop for lunch, or if you're planning a meal to make at home. read more

I have been to Croce's a couple of times now and it is a cool old school Italian kind of place. It almost feels like it should be on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. Today we had #2, prosciutto with fresh mozzarella and roasted peppers. The bread was super soft and fresh and the prosciutto sliced to order. This was a great sandwich! There is a lot of cool stuff at Croce's such as imported Italian sodas and other specialties. There are also homemade raviolis and sauces. One could easily spend 20-30 minutes in this small store walking around. There is parking around the back and some tables outside facing route 70. The staff at Croce's is very friendly and helpful. We had our lunch there on a pleasant summer afternoon. Absolutely worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

Been in the mood for Italian food lately so I decided to give Croce's a try. I ordered the Meatball Parm sandwich ($7.99) as well as a dozen Meat Raviolis ($5.99) with their pasta sauce ($2.99 for a pint) to-go. The lady at the counter was very pleasant and friendly. My sandwich was prepared quickly and I was out the door. For $7.99 for a sandwich with maybe 5 meatballs, the price is a bit much. It tasted good, but I wouldn't say it was the absolute best thing I've ever had. At that price point, I would expect maybe a side to go with it or make it a meal with a drink or something. I made the meat raviolis that night. I will say these tasted very fresh and would probably get again, but probably just use my own pasta sauce. They were filled with a bit more cheese than meat proportions than I would prefer, but overall tasted very delicious and makes for an easy dinner. read more

Every morning you can smell garlic and Italian herbs and spices in the air yesterday our Making all of the delicious fresh homemade Italian dishes. From handmade pasta's and ravioli two meatballs and sauces. They have marinara and meat sauce and Alfredo and their tomato pie is to die for! They have trays of dishes to choose from that you can heat at home. Sausage and peppers and chicken cutlets and veal cutlets and breaded pork chops plus tomato and mozzarella salad and cucumber salad and pasta salad... There's not much you won't find. You can also get fresh balls of mozzarella and they have bread delivered fresh every morning. On top of all that they also provide a deli where you can get sliced meats and cheeses along with subs and hoagies... Their Italian hoagie is the best I've ever had.And lastly they also offer a small Italian market with dried pastas and canned and jarred tomatoes for those who like to prepare at home. It makes things so convenient when I'm missing an ingredient or simply in need of some eggs lol. In their market they have an olive bar they have a nice selection of Italian cookies that you can purchase by the pound. They have authentic Italian candies and sodas. They even supply a few Italian appliances... i've had my eye on their espresso machine for a long time ha ha. The staff is wonderful family owned... it's like going into your friends parents home... I was really excited to try this place because of the positive reviews but unfortunately my experience was very different. I will start with the good! The store smelled amazingly good when I entered and I was greeted by a very friendly woman at the register who was very helpful. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich for lunch and the wait was not long.....here's where things go south. I take the sandwich back to work and the first two bites were good, but when I bit again I hit a rough priced of chicken. I opened up the sandwich and bit a few more times but this part of the chicken was not edible. It was tougher than any steak I've has and was gray in color. It was very different in appearance and texture than the other part of the sandwich. Unfortunately this put a damper on my experience and I would've loved to try their cold cut hoagies but idk that I can return considering I wasted my money on this first experience. read more

To be completely honest yet absolutely neutral, this place has some of the best food I've ever had. If you have an opportunity to stop by, you have to try the following things: - Tomato Pie - Freshly made on premises. The crust has an amazing crunch to it, while the chunky tomato works perfectly with the garlic which is used at the right amount. Most tomato pies I've had have either been too hard, or had too much garlic. This place does it right; so I have no hesitation in saying this is the best tomato pie I've ever had. - Italian Hoagie - Again, this is one of the best Italian Hoagies I have ever had. The bread is not too soft, but not too hard. Most traditional places seem to favor very hard bread to protect the bread from getting soggy from the oil and vinegar. The bread here is just right so it soaks up the oil and vinegar but doesn't compromise the integrity of the bread. The meat selection is delicious, freshly sliced, and works perfectly with the winner of the entire sandwich which I feel is their sharp provolone. If you like hoagies and think you've had the best you've ever had, try this place first, then reassess. - Meatball Parm - If a stranger came up to me on the street and asked me, "Where is the best meatball sandwich you've ever had," I would without a doubt or hesitation say Croce's. I LOVE THIS PLACE. There is no better hoagies or roasted red peppers. I crave the roasted red peppers and the hoagies. Awesome hoagies... I've been looking for a while for a place with really great Italian hoagies. Lately, it seems like I've been striking out when ordering hoagies from other places. Every other place seems to think piling in a pound of meat onto one sandwich and throwing on some lettuce is making an Italian hoagie. I have been coming to Croce's for quite a few years now for a few things: the Italian Hoagie, the Tomato Pie, and Sharp Provolone with roasted red peppers. This place is a small Italian shop with an assortment of homemade pastas, bread, and other Italian products. Mostly I come here for the Italian Hoagie and Tomato Pie. Croce's definitely has the best tomato pie I have ever had and I have had my fair share of tomato pies throughout my lifetime. The sauce is homemade and flavorful but the thing that separates their tomato pie from everyone else's is the crust. It is almost like a Sicilian style pie with a thicker crust. Either way it is to die for. Highly recommend trying it. Another food item that I am well versed in is hoagies. Italian Hoagies to be exact. Croce's has arguably the best Italian hoagies I have ever had and here is why; the bread, the meats and the cheese. The bread is a fresh baked Italian roll that is not too chewy and not too crusty, it is perfect. The meats are all boars head. Boars Head is top notch and there is nothing better. The cheese is a sharp provolone. Not a deli sliced provolone, but a SHARP PROVOLONE. This cheese bites you back and it makes the sandwich. If you want to try something awesome, by a block of that SHARP PROVOLONE sitting on the counter with a bunch of their roasted red peppers and a loaf of bread and jam on that. It's a game changing snack. I have branched out and tried other things and they have all been phenomenal. This place is the real deal. They don't have a website or anything fancy, you just need to go there and experience the place. The guys who run the counter are always friendly and helpful. Croce's is the quintessential Italian Deli in Cherry Hill. They have very hard to find products imported from Italy. They also have a selection of pre-packaged Gluten Free pastas and baked goods. Their tomato pie is simply the best to be had outside of South Philly. Also their fresh ravioli is simply awesome, you must try a dozen or so to take home for dinner some night. Parking on Route 70 is kind of hazardous as they are on the corner, but not to worry! Make the right turn onto Wesley Ave (street) right on the corner where Croce's store sits, then go about 80-feet and there's a huge parking lot right on your left right behind the store. Park here then go in thru the rear entrance or walk around front. It's much easy and safer than parking on Route 70. When you leave just go back the way you came an get back on 70. read more
