    Pulled pork sandwich
    Laura W.

We ordered delivery to our nearby hotel and had a smooth experience. Food was packaged well for delivery. I had a pulled pork sandwich with slaw on top. I loved the mustard and vinegar bbq sauce! The pork was a little fatty but large portion. Very filling that I didn't feel left hungry after choosing to not order sides. Kids had kid meals-one ribs and one chicken both with Mac and cheese. Kids meals come with a drink too and I was glad they didn't forget those! I heard the ribs were really good! I tried the Mac and cheese and perfect texture and creaminess. Chicken was less enthusiastically eaten. Large portion but kind of dry, although the sweet bbq sauce helped with that. I'd definitely return if I was in this area again!

If you want a decent BBQ platter at a reasonable price then this is your spot. There is ample seating and service is quick. It's not mindblowing quality but it'll fulfill your craving. Worth a visit!

Ordered take out for dinner... had a hankering for BBQ. Ordered the Hog Platter 2 meats + 3 pork ribs and 2 sides $22.99 I selected the sliced beef brisket. Smoky flavor, but dry... very dry... not enough fat cap. There was no sauce to help moisten it. I didn't know what I wanted for the 2nd meat, so I asked Noah what he recommended... Noah suggested the Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage...GOOD CALL. Good flavor with a tiny bit of heat. The pork ribs were good. Glazed. Tender. A little bit of sweetness. The 2 sides are just ok... nothing to write home about. The Collard Greens were cooked well with some smokiness. The coleslaw is just ok.

Good food and clean restaurant. The meat was soft and fresh. I liked everything I ordered and it was good I will come here again

I ordered take out and the service I received over the phone was great by Jeremy, I think that was his name, who correctly took my order even though they weren't technically open. When I got there Jeremy was the one who assisted me as well and provided a military discount. I ordered 3 plates and we made sure everything was there. I wanted to like the food so bad especially because I was buying the other 2 plates to thank some people. I had the 3 choice plate with ribs, sliced brisket and chicken. The ribs were ok but the chicken was dry and the brisket was as well. The volcano sauce was really good and spicy! That elevated the meats to where it wasn't as dry. For Championship bbq not sure today was the day. I had the mac & cheese and collard greens and both were bland to say the least. I honestly would try it again but next time I would dine in. Again the customer service was fantastic!!

I broke my diet for this dry chicken that is not bbq chicken potato salad is spoiled or very close beans is old I new when I scene it's empty to turn around but I was hungry. If I wanted dry chicken I guess I should come to whole hog cafe because dry doesn't come out my kitchen. It's pitiful in in our local establishments to serve a paying customer trash I'm still hungry and I'm not eating this cornbread old also it fall on my floor cause I'm looking what is this. Guess I'll have a banana

Hadn't been here in a while and upon returning the food was extremely dry and boring. Very disappointing and will not be returning.

However, I came back a couple weeks ago for their peach cobbler dessert, & banana pudding which was absolutely amazing. I did go ahead and order again and I got the jerk chicken sliders which was amazing! Baked Mac was a lot creamier & well seasoned! No doubt a different cook made it!! I came during the dinner rush which I know can be stressful for establishments, however someone was yelling in that kitchen at the employees belligerently. Me and a few customers who were waiting on their food felt very bad for the employees who were getting yelled at. From what I hear there is no reason to talk to an employee that way! The overall establishment is good. Staff works very hard and is very friendly! I wish I could give them a raise myself! Due to that incident I don't think I'll be coming back because that was very hard to listen to without intervening.

Tenderness was on point, sauce was on point, but not at much as I would hope for the price point. I also learned the next morning that we got charged an extra dollar for asking for sauce to be extra spicy. Oh no. * Mean beans are worth it Get those meaty delicious beans. * Pasta salad is not worth it in the least. Mac n cheese is 450% worth it. Make that your pasta choice. * Very good cornbread, the right balance of smooth and corny. Nice size. * Spiciest sauce is fairly mild. I've apparently been here twice now and gotten the same result, so the same conclusion: Stick with Mission BBQ. But it was good to evaluate a local alternative in comparison. Not bad overall.

I can't go often, since it's not that close to me, but when I go, I typically order the rib platter. I typically get the same sides (beans and mac n cheese) along with cornbread. It is certainly more deserving than my initial 3 star review on my successive visits, but I never updated my review. Not everyone will love the sauce, which tastes more tomato-based, but that's okay. As I've gotten older, I appreciate it more. It's almost like... they put... ketchup... in the sauce... and if that's what it is, I'm fine with it. It tastes good. The ribs on that initial visit were tough; that's not a lie. On three visits afterwards, it was not as tough as the first time. On my most recent visit today, the ribs were really, really tender. Like... this is how tender ribs should be. The only difference between my experiences before versus now is I placed a takeout order this time whereas I always ate at the restaurant before. If takeout will always yield the freshest, most tender ribs, I'm good with ordering takeout from now on. The ribs were tender to the point of being delicate. They were SO GOOD. Even the rib that looked like it could've been tough was tender. That's how you know ribs are good. I would give 5 stars for just the ribs alone, but aha... there were more items... baked beans... SO GOOD... they have sausage bits in them. Cornbread... baked fresh and cut in front of my eyes... WARM, SOFT, FLUFFY.... SOoo GOOOOD... the mac n cheese... well, ehhh... can't win them all... it was just mac n cheese. I have to remember to order something other than mac n cheese next time, but I always forget because I don't go here often enough. Still, this is a 5 star meal all the way and I look forward to more meals like this. I thought I had to drive over to Camden all this time to get tender ribs. Let's say that all again... the ribs are damn good... tender and juicy. Yums. Go get some. Parking lot on the premises. Hope you get the same experience I just did.

This was my first time here so I didn't fully understand how they had a "full service" section and a "order and take a number" section. Although the staff and service were fabulous. We had no idea what we were in for ...wow!! We ordered separate bbq brisket (not as a sandwich, we wanted to focus on the meat) and a side of Mac and cheese and bbq beans. Wow, the brisket was the best bbq brisket I had eaten anywhere. Until today, the best I had eaten was in Texas and in Maine. It was so moist, flavorful, rich melt in your mouth brisket deliciousness ... with a perfectly paired horseradish bbq sauce on the side. Everything is clearly homemade with lots of experience and love...A heavenly brisket for sure!! The bbq beans with a variety of beans and chunks of beef that was also absolutely delicious and a standalone meal ... best beans anywhere with regard to flavor, spice, bean variety, texture and sauce ratio. And finally, the Mac and cheese was perfect, not too salty and more like the Jamaican macaroni pie ... crispy on the outside, great cheese quality, and perfectly salted wothoit being greasy. It paired perfectly with the flavorful moist meat and beans!! I returned to share my gratitude to the incredible chef du jour, Freddie. I really love and will travel for good bbq and this is as good as it gets!! No wonder it's award winning. And chef Fred is also a full time firefighter, father of you can imagine, and a lovely kind down to earth person, as is his partner, Jeff!! Thanks for your hospitality!
