We originally planned to visit The Django but arrived around 1:00 a.m. and had just missed it, so we headed upstairs to the Roxy Bar instead. It ended up being a fun late-night stop. I asked the bartender for a recommendation and ordered the Easy Rider (Casamigos Jalapeño, Fontbonne Herbal Liqueur, cucumber, lime, and salt). If you enjoy spicy cocktails, this one definitely delivers. It was a little too spicy for my taste, so I couldn't finish it. My friend ordered a cocktail made with Don Julio 1942, which she enjoyed. The service was welcoming, especially considering how late we arrived, and we appreciated being able to relax with a drink before closing. One fun surprise is the vintage-style photo booth near the hotel entrance. Just a heads-up: the sign outside says $5, but it was actually $15 when we used it. It was still a fun keepsake from the night. We spent about $91 for two cocktails before tip. While the drinks are definitely on the pricey side, the atmosphere made for a nice late-night experience. After two jazz brunches here, I can say I definitely recommend! Just hop on Resy, say how many of you are coming, and show up at noon on Sunday for a no cover charge, no minimum drink order jazzy brunch to start your day. Two years in a row the music, food, and holiday decor impressed. I brunched with a friend last year and with my partner this year and both experiences were great. It's a relaxed, casual experience in a classy but not fussy environment. Food is American brunch (think scrambled eggs, pastrami hash, and avo toast) with some nice seafood options too. Fun little brunch space at this hotel in the Tribeca/ Soho area and let me tell you this day was probably the coldest day I have ever experienced haha so brunch was needed. When you walk in it is a swanky looking spot with lots of dark wood and there was also live music which I personally love. We were able to get seated at a table quickly which was nice. The menu for brunch is pretty small but I will say everything we ordered seemed very fresh and it was tasty. The service overall was a bit slow, we had to flag down our server a few times to order things or just ask for some basic items with our meal. It was a good meal and great time catching up with friends. If you are wanting to explore this area of town I would totally suggest staying at this hotel as well it seems like a great spot! read more

If dining with a view is your thing, Roxy is it. Well...it's not a panoramic view or a stunning water view I'm talking about- and it isn't grand either. But it is odd for a NYC hotel (not sure if there are other NYC hotels like it). As you look up from this bar+lounge, you can see the balconies. Again, not the most eye-candy, but it is catchy. Aside that, definitely come to this super buzzy TriBeCa bar and grab the weekly live jazz bands+with a cool cat feel. Roxy has leveled up majorly since the last time we came here. This time, our drummer friend played one floor downstairs at the Django Lounge. Without a resy, we were seated here in no time directly in front of the jazz band. Except, these leather loungy chairs are so uncomfortable and low, we asked to sit on regular chairs elsewhere. Even with the jazz band playing, our server was swift and didn't pop a jugular trying to talk to us or vice-versa. Our Caesar salad needed garlic and saltiness from anchovies. Their version of avocado+raw tuna appetizer was good- probably needed more avocado. Then again I'm Dominican so we eat avo with everything. Our cocktails were winners big time. My two cocktails as well as hubs', were hefty at $18ea- but they packed strength. I blame these folks for the headache I had the following day. I was at Roxy Bar on Friday night for dinner. Dinner was served around 6:30 PM, and around 7:50 PM we wanted to order drinks. At that moment, a tall hostess (or staff member) came to our table and told us we had 10 minutes to leave because there was a reservation at 8:00 PM. This was never communicated to us when we arrived. If we had known there was a strict time limit, we would have planned accordingly. When I explained that we were about to order drinks and asked why we weren't informed earlier, she responded very rudely and said, "I said what I said. You must leave the table. We won't serve drinks because my customers with the 8 PM,reservation are waiting." I asked where this policy was stated, and there was no explanation or apology just attitude. I was there with my cousins visiting from Switzerland, and this was one of the rudest dining experiences I've ever had. Completely unprofessional and unwelcoming. I've been to the Roxy a few times before, it's one of my favourite spots in NYC - but tonight blew every other experience I've had here out of the water. Took my partner for our anniversary and from the moment we sat down we were exceptionally well taken care of by our excellent server Kristina and maître d' Andreas. I will most definitely have to do another review of this place. I needed a lovely space to drink after a night of feasting, and Roxy was the destination. The jazz ensemble that was playing was outstanding. My friend and I both got cocktails which were both excellent. I wish I had more to say, but I didn't get to eat the food but will be back to give a full review in the future--the drinks where delicious. My waiter did seem to have a bit of an attitude, but nothing to the offensive. Overall for the first time and only getting drinks, I would give Roxy a 4 out of 5 read more

Stumbled into this little gem by complete accident for lunch. The staff are very friendly. Atmosphere is a whole vibe. I bet this is a great spot for drinks. Leather seats and couches, a must see if one is to truly experience this part of NYC. Now for the food. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with salad. It's delicious and honestly probably big enough to share. Bread is toasted. Salad is perfect. It's a delicious event bite after bite. The food is tasty and not traditional, but very overpriced. Especially the oysters which are small and four dollars each whether you get one or three dozen. There is live music, but I'd rather pay a separate cover charge then have that cost added into my bill, which is what it seems like. The service was fine but given I told him this was a big birthday. I felt the service should have been great, esp since we were a party of 6 and they knew our bill would be high. I had a Down in Mexico and Frozen Blood Orange Negroni, which were the standard NYC drink prices. Both of the drinks were pretty good. (On the stronger side) However, what we didn't know was that there was a time limit to the seating. When I called, the staff didn't mention anything about a time limit, but after we sat down for a bit the staff came to us and said that we should've known there was a time limit. We didn't get an opportunity to finish our 2nd drinks and the staff were quite pushy in trying to get us out even when there wasn't a wait behind us, which was kind of irritating. What an extraordinary experience. It was an old world charm mixed with a cigar bar vibe . Leather couches and vintage chairs . The lighting gave it a great ambiance. It was within an atrium with the piano sound echoing throughout. The hostess Julia was so nice and seated without a reservation. it was very special night unbeknownst to the staff but they were all very attentive and helpful with suggestions.
