This place was cute. Good location with a great classic upscale bar ambiance, and really nice service. We felt a little forgotten towards the end of the meal, but it was a big group. The boozy brunch was fun with lots of drink options! We were all pretty much let down by most of the food. The French dip sandwich was super bland, which was disappointing. The avocado toast, shakshuka, and chicken pot pie were good enough but nothing special. The soft pretzel was actually so delicious though. It was a fun experience overall and would return and maybe try something different!

The food I had was basic, nothing unique or interesting, and not much flavor. There's definitely better options nearby. The interior decor was nice and they had nice outdoor seating as well.

Great spot for a quick happy hour! This spot has a cute and cozy ambiance and a pretty good selection of wine and cocktails. The prices are pretty reasonable and the service was quick and efficient. It does get packed though so would highly recommend making a reservation if you want to grab something to eat!

WOT Burger was actually quite good - while I would have left off the lettuce, the burger was good, and though a side salad of Caesar was an additional expense (vs the regular salad), the wooden board it was served on was cute. The staff was good at keeping up with the service and fries were hot and crisp, good balance without being oily even though it was a messy treat.

We stopped in for lunch recently and had a good experience. There is plenty of seating inside and at the bar. We had a comfortable table with a partial booth. The deviled eggs and smoked fish dip were great appetizers. The B.L.T.A. and blackened chicken sandwich were excellent. They had great flavor and the portion sizes matched the price. They have a kids menu and our daughter enjoyed her burger. The burger was supposed to come with cheese but didn't. The burger was huge and juicy, but our daughter ate only a few bites. For $16, I thought it was a bit pricey and we probably could have shared. Our service was just ok. We had a soda water and coke but never received refills. We paid with a QR code at the table, so after our food came out, the server never checked on us.

I work around the corner and have picked up takeout countless times throughout the years. I can't get enough of that authentic fire grilled tasting mouthwatering juicy burger! The staff is very sweet and the ambiance is imbued with warm colors. I've eaten once in-person there with work colleagues on a department lunch and it was a lovely experience. I'm very glad the restaurant is still going strong.

I really wanted to like White Oak since it looked good online, but it unfortunately missed the mark for me. The brunch platter I received was overly greasy (the bacon and hash browns both dripping oil) and was overall underwhelming flavor-wise. The service, while friendly, was a bit slow. The interior was really nice. Plenty of seating for large groups along with small. Would consider trying again for a few small bites with a group of friends... White Oak Tavern has the potential, and I'm hopeful it was just an off day.

Stopped in with a friend for happy hour to pass some time before heading to a Broadway show. I'd been at a meeting where they'd fed us all throughout the day so I wasn't hungry, but i ordered the Fried Pickles and Deviled Eggs because why not? My friend was pretty famished so she ordered the Ftench Dip. To drink, she had the White Mule and I had the Daisy Picante. Total bill was about $67--pretty decent for NYC. The Fried Pickles were golden and crispy on the outside and sour and crunchy on the inside. The Deviled Eggs were fine, with the fried shallots on top being the highlight. My friend said the meat on her sandwich wasn't seasoned at all so she requested salt and pepper and that helped. She said the au jus was good. Overall, everything could have been better seasoned but was well cooked and prepared. The drinks were FANTASTIC. They were tasty, refreshing, and just strong enough. Service was great--friendly, quick, attentive. Our server Sam was at the table with water as soon as we sat down!

Came back while in NYC again. We enjoy the food and comfort of a place that's reliable in service, food and ambiance and close to Washington Square. We'll be back again.

Arrived at 5:45 and the place was packed. Seated at 6pm, which was our reservation. We were very comfortable at our table, and the service was quick. The drinks and food were pricy but delicious. The bar/restaurant is dark and noisy, which is the way I like it. We enjoyed being there.

Came for the espresso martini. A great amount of foam but a solid martini for sure. Two thumbs up

Chicken pot pie - good flavors but way too much doughy crust.

This pub has a very English ambiance and reminded us of our recent trip to England. At early dinner time (about 5:00) there was about a 45 minute wait but we decided to go ahead with it because it could take us that long to find another place anyway. There's no real place to wait at the pub, but they call when your table is ready. As a side note, we spent the hour long wait people watching at Washington Square Park - extremely entertaining!). Wednesdays is happy hour pricing for ladies all night long, so I had a couple glasses of wine. The happy hour drink menu is a limited, and the beers weren't any that my husband wanted (who wants PBR at an English pub?) so he ordered off the regular menu and it was only a small $$ difference. Our kids had a delicious mocktail. For dinner we ordered the salmon (excellent, accompanied by mashed potatoes and green beans with a light wine sauce. I actually would have liked more sauce), fish and chips (decent enough to order again but nothing to go there specifically for) and chicken pot pie (would not recommend because it was just way too bready). This is a busy little place with what appeared to be a large variety of folks looking for after work drinks, students from the nearby university and groups for a random evening out. Even so, service was great with no complaints from us! It was a little loud, as pubs tend to be, but not overwhelming.

Long story short - Food was good not great but service is impeccable! I will go back there many times. I'll List some great things: 1) they don't rush you - they let you drink dat chit chat at your pace. They don't rush to get you out the door or pressure to order more stuff 2) they brought me a beer to try cos I didn't know how it would be - I mean who does that nowadays! I guess a few places but they have my heart for it 3) food was all great quality stuff just mot amazing or anything which tbh at a tavern/pub type place I'm anyway not going for. Their salads, burger, omelette all fall in this 4/5 category btw 4) they also gave my friend a compliment Bday creme brûlée which they knocked out of the park Great servers! Great ambiance. Pretty bar!

    Are the mimosas strong?

Did not have a mimosa but the drinks were good.

Do they offer regular mimosas? On the website , I see they offer mimosas with grapefruit and I'm wondering if they have ones with just orange juice

It looks like they offer Mimosas with grapefruit, blood orange, or raspberry. Anyway, they offer screwdrivers which are orange juice and vodka so I'm sure you can get a mimosa with orange juice if you ask.

And this isn't entirely the restaurant's fault: when, as a customer, you've already tasted a good part of the menu, seen the decor, experienced the good service and ambience, it's really hard for future visits to be "as good as the first time." But then there's Parlour Room that dazzles me every time I visit New York. Last Saturday we sat at the same booth as our first visit and were lucky enough to have Jesus as a server again. I was so excited to see him. We had so much food that we had to take a good amount to go, but let me give you the rundown. New things we tried this time: Octopus: I've never had octopus in my life. And I've never wanted to try it. No interest at all. But a Parlour Room suggestion? Okay, sure. I trust it. And guess what? 10/10 Ribs: The presentation was pretentious in the best way, but still, my expectations weren't too high. BUT they rivaled the best soul food restaurant. Fall off the bone and full of flavor. I couldn't believe it. Another 10/10 Mac and cheese: I wasn't enthusiastic about ordering this because I didn't want all the carbs and cheese. Then I couldn't stop eating it. 10/10 The usuals: burger and fries, meatballs, and deviled eggs. Always 10/10, or 5 stars, in Yelp standards. :) The drinks and dessert were unbelievably decadent as well. As usual. What an evening. One more thing...They changed the menu recently, and in my experience, that usually means some sort of disappointment as you discover they've gotten rid of your favorite dish, added uninteresting things, and/or consolidated the offerings in general. But Parlour Room was thoughtful in this regard--unlike anything I've seen before. And what a relief. When I didn't think the menu could get any more perfect, they went and concocted another level of perfection. Oh, I love this place.

We waited many hours to get in on valentines weekend after their system crashed. The bartenders…read morewere super nice after all that which was appreciated. Loved the atmosphere and service. However I will say that the drinks weren't quite as creative as I would've hoped. We went to the death and co in Denver and weren't impressed. The nyc location has a much much better ambiance but the drinks just didn't impress me much especially compared to other bars in nyc. I had the chocolate carbonated drink and I did like the flavor but it was too carbonated.

This bar may be the best in the world! Yes I said it! My fiance and I went here one weekend. If there wasn't a staff member outside you could easily pass it. This isn't a negative remark. It makes fits the theme of their bar. Death and co is almost a speakeasy. It is elegant, dark inside, and unapologetic. One inside you feel as though you are in a secret lounge reserved for cocktail lovers. I was expecting a lot from this bar and they delivered! All of the cocktails were expertly crafted and I really do mean "expertly" in every sense of the word. The bartenders here are extremely knowledgeable. If all the cocktails we had, and we had many, my favorite was one in which i challenged the bartender. I ordered a lamb burger which was great and I had already drank and old fashioned so I wanted to try a daiquiri. Knowing the flavor profile of each of these two items, I thought they would clash but the bartenders assured me he would make something that accompanied the lamb well. The bartenders assured took some time to think about how he would create an accompaniment to my lamb in the form of a daiquiri. I was skeptical but when I was served my drink as I was eating the lamb burger, what he concocted was nothing short of genius. A daiquiri is normally acidic and sweet but this one was earthy and made the perfect drink pair to my lamb while staying true to the way a daiquiri is made. Amazing place to grab a couple of drinks. Well worth it!
