Good ambiance midday quiet with good drinks and food. Got the passion fruit gin drink and it was refreshing and not too sweet

Super cool vibes. Good Negroni. The food was also pretty good. I enjoyed the artichoke dip and the carrots. Apparently the burger was pretty good as well. Service was also good. Super fun and lively spot on Friday night.

Drinks were good, lovely place and the interior is so nice. We ordered a burger but our bartender completely forgot it - ended up giving us a round on him. Definitely a good spot to drop in quick for a drink but it gets insane with the younger crowd at night.

Let me be so honest, if I was 25 this place would be a 5/5. The vibe is very young and loud and fun. I'm just aged out of it I think, and that's fine! It was packed on Friday night, and a few friends and I wanted to grab drinks and light food. We sat in the open seating by the bar, and our bartender took our order. I'll say the service was great for this type of bar. The food came quick and the bartender was wonderful and friendly. The food was surprisingly good too, but it was fries and a Caesar salad.. hard to mess up girl dinner! However, would I come back? Probably not. It's just too loud and crowded for me, but fun night in your 20s!

This is a phenomenal place to go for amazing food in the West Village. The smashburgers are underrated and have my vote for one of the best in New York. Fresh cut potatoes are transformed into amazing fries to complement the burgers. The drinks here are second to none, even for those not consuming alcohol. In addition to everything else you can imagine, the mocktails here are excellent. This is a classic West Village bar and restaurant, very easy to imagine luminaries from the past hanging here with friends. I come here fairly frequently and the team here is always friendly and welcoming.

Kareem's old fashion is like stepping into a cigar lounge filled with the smartest philosophers and the sharpest tongues. The taste of the old fashioned lingers vibrantly on the tongue as you enjoy the dimly lit vibes and conversations worth staying until closing. Thanks for the amazing service tonight!

The service was just ok (particularly at the door), but the atmosphere and food were great. Definitely get the steak! I'd come back though.

This should have been my lovely mezcal whiskey drink that I enjoyed so much that I forgot to take a picture. Lol

Came to celebrate a beloved coworker who was leaving &we had cauliflower, hand cut fries, the artichoke dip w/toast, and the fresh chips with a lovely array of drinks. I enjoyed my whiskey mezcal cocktail, the service, and appetizers were tasty. I'll definitely come back and try the burger.

Ahhhhh the Spaniard, a titan of industry when industry is defined as lively bars to go out and get active in NYC. I get kinda insecure when I come here though because it is the Tall Clean Cut White Boy Who Works in Finance capital of the world... I mean I am 5'10.5...in shoes...that's tall right? Well I write yelp reviews so......yeah I have a lot to offer that they don't...... I mean I think I'm kinda funny... right? The only thing I don't love about the Spaniard is that it gets so packed to the point where you can barely move. To get from one side of the bar to another you need to be doing swim moves like a prime Aaron Donald. I know they're known for good cocktails but I kind of just come in here and drink rolling rocks ahahaha. I don't even know why. The vibe in here just calls for a rolling rock. I have a good feeling in my soul that I will find my wife at a 5pm or 10pm Spaniard run..... IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

Warm decor, friendly service, and decent drinks. The burger was also basic and tasty following the smash burger format. One of the better bars in the immediate area.

I visited the Spaniard on a warm Spring Friday night for dinner with a party of 6 for dinner. We were seated immediately at our reservation time, despite how busy it was. We really wanted to come for the burger! It may have been the weather or a Knick playoff game going on but this place was packed at 7:30PM - like shoulder to shoulder, no room at the bar crowded (borderline fire hazard)- filled with 20 somethings. We sat in the booth and the star of the night foodwise was the Patty Melt, and not the burger, to our surprise. We ordered all the appetizers and there were all average, even the fried calamari which typically is not the case. Staff was attentive and helpful/friendly. Security guards outside Negative here is given the crowd, its impossible to go to the unisex bathroom - line was at least 10 deep and we went to another bar after. You also won't hear your guests speak given how loud it was. There are tables outside When we left, there was a line of 50 deep outside of sub 30s waiting on line to get in and it was only 10pm. Maybe it was the night we went (Friday) but if your intention is to have a meal to catch up with friends - this was not the place on the night we went. If you want to party and socialize potentially with strangers, this may be your place.

I've been here several times for drinks prior to this visit and always enjoyed the experience. This time we were a group celebrating a birthday and we had the small room in the back of the bar which worked out perfectly. The servers were attentive and helpful. There were a variety of things ordered but everything I tried was very good! The chorizo fritters and buttermilk biscuits were ordered for the table and disappeared within minutes. Delicious! The beau and I had a smash burger and crispy chicken salad. Both hit the spot. I heard lots of ooohs and aaaahs from the table indicating a happy bunch of people. The most popular cocktails at the table were the orange crush and yes to heaven. Pretty and delicious! The beau spoke of a return visit which is a true seal of approval.

It's a classic after-work watering hole for the finance workers, consultants, and attorneys who populate the area. The decor is awesome, and makes you feel fuzzy and at home!!! But let's talk about the real star of the show: the burger. I've had my fair share of burgers in NYC, but this one takes the cake. The patty is juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of char on the outside. The bun is soft and pillowy, holding everything together without getting soggy. And the bacon is mmm mmmmmmm PERFECT!!! Trust me when I say it's worth braving the sea of suits just to get your hands on one of these bad boys. So if you find yourself in Chinatown after work or on a weekend night out with friends (or even alone), do yourself a favor and stop by Whiskey Tavern for some great drinks (not watered down!) and an unforgettable burger experience. From the moment we walked in I was hopeful, the girls at the window were great checking us in, but there was a slight issue and I felt that shifted our entire night. We sit down and the tables are TIGHT - we were sat right next to the stage and the woman that was on was GREAT... digging the vibe, super excited - my arm would constantly touch the girl next to us and we then started all talking to that table as well so it became less awkward but still... Drinks come, Ok - My drink I had to assemble myself which was cute I could make it too my liking, I just might have liked if there was actual alcohol with it... Then food, apps were Ok... The mains, NO... The steak had NO FLAVOR, not even bad flavor, NONE... Then the music changed, and the band that went on after was just NOT a vibe - what we had hoped would be a cute, cuddle in a little booth, get some music, good food, turned into a "are we done, lets hurry and go drink at the hotel bar" experience! Sad because I wanted to love this place, and maybe another booth where my ass wasnt on my neighbors chair, and the music was a different band might change this whole experience!

Although the song is about love,…read moreand not dining, I've found that when I have an impeccably perfect time at a restaurant, the subsequent visits just don't measure up to that first time. And this isn't entirely the restaurant's fault: when, as a customer, you've already tasted a good part of the menu, seen the decor, experienced the good service and ambience, it's really hard for future visits to be "as good as the first time." But then there's Parlour Room that dazzles me every time I visit New York. Last Saturday we sat at the same booth as our first visit and were lucky enough to have Jesus as a server again. I was so excited to see him. We had so much food that we had to take a good amount to go, but let me give you the rundown. New things we tried this time: Octopus: I've never had octopus in my life. And I've never wanted to try it. No interest at all. But a Parlour Room suggestion? Okay, sure. I trust it. And guess what? 10/10 Ribs: The presentation was pretentious in the best way, but still, my expectations weren't too high. BUT they rivaled the best soul food restaurant. Fall off the bone and full of flavor. I couldn't believe it. Another 10/10 Mac and cheese: I wasn't enthusiastic about ordering this because I didn't want all the carbs and cheese. Then I couldn't stop eating it. 10/10 The usuals: burger and fries, meatballs, and deviled eggs. Always 10/10, or 5 stars, in Yelp standards. :) The drinks and dessert were unbelievably decadent as well. As usual. What an evening. One more thing...They changed the menu recently, and in my experience, that usually means some sort of disappointment as you discover they've gotten rid of your favorite dish, added uninteresting things, and/or consolidated the offerings in general. But Parlour Room was thoughtful in this regard--unlike anything I've seen before. And what a relief. When I didn't think the menu could get any more perfect, they went and concocted another level of perfection. Oh, I love this place.

I found the hodgepodge of old-timey decor to be a bit kitsch, but to each their own. I came with a group on a weeknight with no reservation. We were seated immediately on a high wood table. Although the bar wasn't busy (there were plenty of empty spaces, small groups scattered throughout the area), the service was quite slow. The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience. It's certainly a bar for a certain type of crowd, and the service was lacking, but maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll be served better than we were.

The food (dingle pie and spice bag chips) were also really good. The spice bag chips seasoning was really good. We walked in Wednesday 8:30 PM and they had a couple of high chair seats at a side bar in the parlor room available. Really fun decorations and ambiance.

Tucked into the Financial District, this spot blends old New York history with some of the best cocktails in the city--and it's easy to see why it's been named "World's Best Bar" more than once. The name itself has a wild backstory, inspired by a notorious 19th-century Irish-American gang from Five Points. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Drinks are the real highlight here. The Irish Coffee is widely considered one of the best in the world--rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with whiskey, coffee, and fresh cream. They also get creative with variations like a frozen version and even an Irish Coffee martini. If you want something different, the "Act Naturally" is a standout, mixing Irish whiskey with Guinness and fig in a way that works. Food is just as impressive for a bar. The lobster deviled eggs (topped with caviar) are a must-try, and the menu leans into elevated comfort food. Overall, The Dead Rabbit nails the balance between historic charm and modern cocktail excellence. The D.R. is one of those places that is never boring and consistently delivers.

However I will say that the drinks weren't quite as creative as I would've hoped. We went to the death and co in Denver and weren't impressed. The nyc location has a much much better ambiance but the drinks just didn't impress me much especially compared to other bars in nyc. I had the chocolate carbonated drink and I did like the flavor but it was too carbonated.

If there wasn't a staff member outside you could easily pass it. This isn't a negative remark. It makes fits the theme of their bar. Death and co is almost a speakeasy. It is elegant, dark inside, and unapologetic. One inside you feel as though you are in a secret lounge reserved for cocktail lovers. I was expecting a lot from this bar and they delivered! All of the cocktails were expertly crafted and I really do mean "expertly" in every sense of the word. The bartenders here are extremely knowledgeable. If all the cocktails we had, and we had many, my favorite was one in which i challenged the bartender. I ordered a lamb burger which was great and I had already drank and old fashioned so I wanted to try a daiquiri. Knowing the flavor profile of each of these two items, I thought they would clash but the bartenders assured me he would make something that accompanied the lamb well. The bartenders assured took some time to think about how he would create an accompaniment to my lamb in the form of a daiquiri. I was skeptical but when I was served my drink as I was eating the lamb burger, what he concocted was nothing short of genius. A daiquiri is normally acidic and sweet but this one was earthy and made the perfect drink pair to my lamb while staying true to the way a daiquiri is made. Amazing place to grab a couple of drinks. Well worth it!
