Popped in for a drink at the bar and what a treat it was. I'm a bit of a drink snob and honestly why shouldn't I be! The cost for cocktails in this city is expensive so if I order an Old Fashioned and they don't have big rocks then I'm immediately unimpressed. This spot has it all with regards to a great cocktail. Old Fashioned was one of the best we've had and I also had a Last Word that had the perfect amount of icy goodness that is a result of a top notch bartender that shakes that baby up just right. Our guy, Abi was amazing. So friendly and helpful and we just wanted to sit at the bar all night for his drinks, smile and kind attitude. NYC gets a bad rap for being unfriendly but this guy was a gem and the hubby and I will be back just to have his cocktails. Kudos to this spot!

I had a better experience here the second time around. My friend and I were seated right away. The whole place was full but not packed where it was overwhelming. We got: - Lychee - Aperol spritz - Old Diablo Our server was also super sweet!

Due West truly is not your average gastropub! With a great cocktail list, delicious food, and incredibly friendly staff it's no wonder this place is so popular! You cannot miss the hot crab dip, the smash burger, or the DW Sour cocktail. The atmosphere is welcoming and it is nestled in the perfect West Village location! I definitely recommend checking out Due West!

Alsways excellent service, great drinks and good food. Went to watch game. Was a slow night but it usually has a nice crowd "village style ". The McRib sliders were good and a nice play on the Golden Arches style but dressed up and grown adult version. Pizza was excellent. Food came out fast. Mac and cheese flavorful . This is the kind of place your parents , sister and cousins will like. Something for everyone. Enjoy you wont be disappointed

I've never written a review like this before, but what happened at this bar was not just unprofessional, it was dangerous and discriminatory. The staff, particularly the man who claimed to be the owner, targeted my husband with blatant hostility, made up lies to justify refusing us service, and went out of his way to flag down police because he was scared. He lied and told the police, I, his wife, said he had a gun. lol. Like what? My husband would never. It was clear that we were being profiled and treated unfairly from the moment we walked in. My husband did absolutely nothing wrong, and yet the way we were approached with aggression, baseless accusations, and a complete disregard for our safety was disgusting. The entire situation escalated because this man wanted to make a point, not because of any real issue. He put my husband's life in danger simply because he felt threatened by his presence. This place does not deserve anyone's business. If you value respect, safety, or basic human decency, I urge you to spend your money elsewhere.

Have had several foiled attempts to get in here in the past, but I finally made it! I expected it to be super-bougie, but it turned out to be surprisingly non-pretentious. It was a Thursday night, so not super crowded, and though I'd secured a reservation, we actually were able to just waltz on it. I like the table setup in here; it's intimate and cute for a girls cocktail night out. Bouncer and host were super friendly; waitstaff was attentive. I didn't even expect to make happy hour, but we did. We had 3 rounds of the Lychee 2.0, so, safe to say, that's our cocktail recommendation. I also tried the Happy Hour Beef Slider, very tasty, and my friend said the Fish Taco was worthy as well. We also got the Pepperoni Flatbread and the Fries, both 100% shareable sized and yummy. A little pricey for what they were, but not enough to make you angry because I've seen some TINY flatbreads, but the portions here were plentiful at least. It never got annoyingly crowded or anything either, which was great. I would come back to try the Lobster Roll!

Super cute and trendy restaurant in the West Village. On a beautiful spring day, we sat outside and enjoyed people watching while brunching. We shared the fries fried in duck fat and aoili. The thinly piping hot and lightly salted fries tasted very yummy and satisfying. As we continued to chat, we ordered their burger with a side salad instead of fries and the chicken bites. The drinks were super cute. I had the Aporith, which was kinda too close to alcohol for me but cute nonetheless. I saw the pink soda can and wondered what it was. The waitress said it was a rosatirade. We both tried it and didn't like it. I should have asked for it to be taken off the bill. Overall, the customer service was very good. Their team of staff members were very attentive and polite.

Another West Village ripoff restaurant where atmosphere trumps food. $22 for a "smash" burger which was a basic burger with a small fast-food-sized patty. Maybe they mean if you're smashed when you eat it you won't complain, because this wasn't a smash burger. Served with a large basket of puny fries that would be easier to eat with a spoon than one's hands (the fries I received did not resemble the pictures posted here). The dish was so bad. I also ordered the chicken bites for $17(!) which were a riff on Japanese Karaage, using honey and some other harsh tasting seasoning. A decent portion but struck me as sloppy for the price. I can't begin to understand how this place was so crowded. They're just trying to get the average bill as high as possible while serving food that is completely mediocre. Hard pass for me in the future.

    Lobster Roll

A very tasty lobster roll and the fries were out of this world. It seemed as if it had a hint of tajin seasoning on the fries which gave it a unique flavor. Only issue would be upon walking into the establishment; I had to find a table for myself in the corner of an extremely crowded dining area. Although that was a minor issue, the food overcompensated for the inconvenience.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

Tucked into the Financial District, this spot blends old New York history with some of the best cocktails in the city--and it's easy to see why it's been named "World's Best Bar" more than once. The name itself has a wild backstory, inspired by a notorious 19th-century Irish-American gang from Five Points. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Drinks are the real highlight here. The Irish Coffee is widely considered one of the best in the world--rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with whiskey, coffee, and fresh cream. They also get creative with variations like a frozen version and even an Irish Coffee martini. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing.
