Among the positives I have two negatives, both of which are not adequate enough to lower their star ranking. Firstly, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our food after ordering. I rarely hold timing against a restaurant as having worked in food, I know lunch rush exists and things happen. To mitigate this (for those in the area) I believe they have an online ordering system, which I would recommend utilizing! Secondly, they do not have indoor seating, so it is a very grab and go type establishment. This is counteracted by the multitude of benches around Royal Oak, though it would be nice to have some amount of seating, especially for those with accessibility needs and those waiting on their food. Overall, Oak House Deli is solid and delicious and I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!

So much so, I had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night owing to dehydration. It had all the earmarks of food-borne illness, which usually occurs 24-to-48 hours after eating something. I did some due diligence, and mostly I had been eating prepared food anyway, and there is only one plausible answer: I got my food-borne illness from Beyond. It makes sense. The staff often got orders wrong and was not on top of things. Why wouldn't that lack of attention to detail, in theory, apply to not properly washing produce? Or not washing their hands after using the restroom? I am confident the food I ate from this Beyond gave me severe food-borne illness. I reached out to Beyond about this three times. I laid out all these details as to not seem flippant about it. I felt some degree of recompense was merited. That didn't happen. I didn't even get a refund. I didn't even get a reply. So I reiterate: Do not go to this Beyond. Or, frankly, any Beyond. Nobody from Beyond was willing to step in on this, so how can you trust the brand?
