Well... this used to be a checkers and I was devastated when they closed. This new place popped up so figured I'd give them a try so I could say how much I dislike them and bring back my checkers.. That didn't happen, and now I'm shook. To start the person that took my order was very pleasant. A refreshing change in fast food. She was courteous, friendly yet efficient. First up is the Boston cooler. Yes it's about 50 degrees end of October and I ordered an ice cream drink. I can't recall seeing a fast food chain with this Michigan fav on the menu. It didn't disappoint! The jalepeno poppers were popping hot and fresh. The fries were crisp and not too salty and the sandwich on point. Did I just find my new favorite spot??? read more

Attention to detail. Fresh, fast, friendly. Great portions. Will go again! Family sampled a variety from menu: Greek chicken salad, had good ratio of veggies and toppings to lettuce. Gyro was excellent. Sampled sides: zucchini, mushrooms, chili cheese fries, and corn dog bites. All good. Minor critique was the fried mushrooms were too chewy. If you like big sloppy burgers this is the place to go. I can't say it was the best tasting Burger I've ever had but it is delicious for the price. Definitely a three napkin Burger. Basically a steak hoagie with fries and a drink. The portions were huge. It was much too much to eat after a long day. I thought that I'd save half the sandwich for a midnight snack, but I since I didn't care for it, nah. I cannot quite put my finger on why I didn't care for the meat, but I couldn't eat it. The fries were average, I didn't finish those either. I wouldn't say that I wouldn't try anything else on the menu. If I'm driving by hungry, I may. Menu ranges from "fast food fare" but like, GOOD versions of fast food stuff, to Coney Island options, enough choices in the appetizer/starter category to make any chain restaurant be ashamed, and some full blown meal/entrees. I tried this place via doordash today and was highly impressed with everything I got! Turkey club had a generous portion of meat and cheese although it was missing the bacon it was supposed to come with. I got a side of the mini corn dogs - amazing. The batter was both crispy and sweet. I also tried the bbq rib tips which were good but I thought the sauce could be better. The strawberry shortcake is a bit misleading - was expecting a cake with some fruit and whipped cream but it was actually a shake that had fruit and cake pieces. Even better. 2 stars as today was the third time my simple order of Double Cheeseburger NO PICKLES, HEAVY MAYO was wrong. Instead, I received a Double Cheeseburger, 6 darned pickle slices and no mayo no onion. The service is kind, but something gets lost in translation between the cashier and the cooks. I think I'm done. Wendy's is across the street when I want a burger. Ugh! read more

Papas is in our regular rotation for family dinner and milk shakes. But today they catered my daughter's fourth birthday party at Geary Park for 40 people. They did incredible. They called several times leading up to the event to confirm delivery, update the order based on RSVPs, and told me where to get the cheap chaffing dishes. They came and set everything up which is one less thing during a busy morning. When they arrived they brought my daughter bubbles and her favorite milk shake. Tina I believe is who helped us. Man this place is good good. We have been ordering here via door dash all week at work and we all won't shut up about how good it is. The chicken sandwich was just okay. A little salty. But still edible. My coworkers said they have had it before and it was good then so I think just an off day. But babyyyyy. The iced tea chicken pita and chili cheese fries were bangin!!! Whoever came up with the iced tea recipe needs to patent that boy. I'm a iced tea fanatic and this might be the best I ever had. 5 stars. 10/10. Gold medal. First time going here. Noticed it and a couple other places pop up with the same name. Small chain. Heard from a friend the burgers were good. Went there and ordered for me and my co-workers. 4 of us and we all got full orders fried drinks etc. burgers were really good fries were soggy and full of oil. When I asked the drive through person for one thing of ranch (for chicken sandwich) she said it was $0.79 after I already used my card to pay for food, and then I asked for ketchup and hot sauce for fries and she said $0.55 each. I thought that was crazy after spending $60+ through a drive thru and they wanted to charge and extra $3 for a couple ketchup one ranch and one hot sauce. read more

After frequenting this business, a few times in the last couple of months, I placed a small order today of 20 chicken nuggets, and a medium Coke. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was given another huge order that was not mine. I informed by the older man at the window,, who I believe is the owner, that this order was not mine and, restated with my order was. He said another person came in with the same name, and he gave them both orders and that these kind of things happen sometimes., After stating this, he walked away from the pick up window, and proceeded to take orders from the other window. I was confused, I went down to the order window, and then waited until he finished taking a order, and re-inquired about my order. At this time the older gentleman got really loud with me, he stated I already told you this kind of thing happens sometimes and shrugged me off. When I threatened to take the order that was initially given to me, he then threaten to call the police on me. I stated, I paid $16 and some change for 20 nuggets and a medium pop and I'm not leaving here until I get something for my money or a refund. At this time, a younger man who seemed related to the owner came from behind the counter, and stopped cooking to tell me that he would drop me another order of nuggets and make sure I get my order. This is another example of other people moving into a community and having no respect for the people in that community. The elderly gentleman really expected me to walk away with no compensation for my money spent because he threatened to call the police. It was only after I did not flinch and suggested that they call the police that anyone even offered me a resolution. As a community we need to think before we spend. read more

I am extremely pleased to say that this was one of THE best experiences that I have had at a restaurant... There was initially a mistake made with my order, so I called to speak with a manager to share my dilemma. He was immediately apologetic as well as sympathetic because of my inability to return that night so that he could rectify the concern. He (Mr. Pete) told me to return at my convenience and he assured me that he'd make things right. I must say that when I returned, not only did he and his team treat me with the utmost respect and kindness, but I was so pleased with the service that I left a tip! I really miss the neighborhood checkers is what I want to say first of all to start this review. What came in its spot is awesome. My expectations were low for a drive thru Cajun catfish dinner...... But I was beyond wrong! It was perfectly cooked and seasoned as well as a large portion was not expecting that. My Greek salad was crisp, loaded, and DRY.None of that weird soup salad at the bottom.Believe they use double cooking technique for the fries because the crisp and golden and they come in seasoned ones if you like but I just got the plain. Customer service could b better, decent-ish prices. The first time I went I just needed a side of red onions & they gave it to me no charge, I did decide to still tip. The last time I went I ordered a chicken pita & substituted my fries for fried cauliflower & they charged me the full price of the cauliflower side which defeats the purpose of substituting because I literally paid full price and could have did that and ended up with fries and fried cauliflower so it's not really a substitution... Also, my meal came with no condiments. There's a sign on the window that says to ask for condiments but I think it's pretty common to automatically serve ranch with a chicken pita. I also asked for heavy onions on my chicken pita & I got none. Granted I could have gotten these resolved had I checked the bag before I left the driver thru but I was in a rush & didn't have time. These are all issues that could have been easily avoided. Nevertheless, food was pretty good flavor wise so I may give them another chance but idk yet read more
