    Gravy fries and chicken schnitzel
    Marissa C.

I came here after a morning work out with a friend and I loved it! Service was great and the food did not disappoint. The salad was well dressed, the fries were delicious with the perfect amount of sauce. The chicken schnitzel had an amazing dipping sauce and was perfect with a dash of lemon

The food here... chefs kiss! Absolutely loved the chicken schnitzel with the mushroom sauce. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. My partner loved the ruben, incredibly tasty and moist. Warm potato salad was good, we'd probably opt for someone else though. The downstairs bar is a good pre-dinner hang. We'll definitely come back here!

Great service an amazing food. The Reuben is made with their house smoked thick cut pastrami. So good.

This was my fifth time coming to The Oak Parker, and I honestly can't believe I haven't written a review yet. This place is incredible. The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it's just a really cool spot to meet up with friends and hang out. I've ordered the schnitzel the last three times I've been here because it's that good--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. When a dish keeps pulling you back, you know they're doing something right. Overall, The Oak Parker is one of those places that just hits all the marks: great food, nice vibe, and a spot you're happy to keep coming back to. Highly recommend.

I've been wanting to come here for a while now and I'm kind of glad that I waited till they got established. The bar area was very nice and they actually have like an outdoor covered patio that is more of an atrium than a patio. We were there in the afternoon so it wasn't very busy. So let me just state, I realize everyone can't carry every product. I ordered a Southern comfort on the rocks and they didn't have it, I ordered a red stag on the rocks and they didn't have it, so I went ahead and ordered a beer. My friend ordered a Miller lite earlier and the waitress came back with a Coors light. And like I said it wasn't busy but we stayed pleasant and happy and still ordered our meal. All of their burgers are smash burgers but I think that's just because it's a trend not because of what they actually are. They were two quarter pound patties on a soft bun pressed down. No crisp edges not very thin and flat. It was a double Patty hamburger. The flavor was good but it wasn't what I expected. So I think next time I'm in the mood for a beer I'll come back to the bar and sit and enjoy a beer.

Brunch is SO good! The coffee is delicious and the breakfast sammie is everything you need and more. The service is great, very friendly. I love the cozy laid back vibe of the place. Can't wait to be back for dinner!

Everytime I've been to Oak Parker has been a great experience - great cocktail menu, food menu options and great service. The interior is vibrant and eclectic, and the bar area is a cute, moody corner in the main dining area. I had the So S.A.D. Which was delicious and smokey, and ordered the smash burger and fries which, Oak Parker IMO has one of the best staple burgers in the area, and it has been consistent the last 2x I've ordered it as well. The schnitzel looks amazing, and the tuna croquettes that are currently on special were a delicious app. Can't wait to go back!

I've been here like 4 times in the past 2 months, so figured it's time to finally post a review. Simply put, this is probably the best of the new spots that have popped up in Oak Park and Berkley in the past year or so. The food is great (pork schnitzel is my favorite), cocktails are on-point and creative, and the service is friendly. The downstairs vinyl lounge is one of my favorite sexy date spots. If we're nitpicking, I wish they had a better wine selection. And their parking situation is terrible (I strongly recommend ride sharing if it's an option). Service can also be a bit on the slow side, especially in the vinyl lounge where there's usually only 1 or 2 bartenders who double as servers. But none of those are enough of a problem to give this awesome spot 5 stars.

This is one of those places I hesitate to review solely because I want to gate keep the vibes to myself. It's a small place. If you don't get in at the right time you could be waiting for a while. There is a small bar & table seating. In the summer it has a basement with additional seating and possibly dj vibes. There are weekly specials, a brunch menu, and multiple beers on tap & in bottle. I really like the vibes of this place. You can tell why people stay for a while. Service was fine. Will happily be back. Vibes are moody and a bit intimate.

Warning: Popcorn is extremely addicting! The whole restaurant is super cool and a great place to grab drinks and dinner with friends. Although they're known for the schnitzel, I couldn't resist the fish and chips and they were worth it! Super flakey fish and crispy breading! Will for sure be coming back

Really cool place with, as my wife stated, one of the best corned beef sandwiches she has ever had. I had the pork schnitzel which was good, but fairly pricy. The bartender was excellent and made one of the best boulevardiers I have ever had. The place is pretty small, but IMO, worth the trip to check out.

Parking was no problem as I was lucky to find metered parking just steps away from the front door. I walked in immediately taken with the charming decor and darkly lit romantic vibes, which is my favorite esthetic for any restaurant. The seating at the bar was yummy, thick comfy seats. The bartender greeted me warmly. He was cool and I hate that I didn't ask his name. He was attentive and masterful with the spirits. He asked if it was my first time, which it was, and since so, made me a tasty "welcome" drink with gin that was fantastic. I also ordered "the panty snatcher" a concoction of vodka, grapefruit, St Germain, rose water and orange. It was amazing. I will definitely be back for drinks. The drink menu is quite tempting. I had the Corn, Corn, Corn dish, which is polenta and corn kernels topped with popcorn. Yes, super unique and interesting. I had to try it. The popcorn was so light and flavorful straight out of the kitchen, but became chewy as it sat atop the piping hot polenta. I really enjoyed it however. Next time I'll eat all the popcorn first. I also had lobster dumplings, which was good but the dish wasn't cooked through. The filling wasn't hot and the pasta was very under on some bites. I was the first customer for the evening, so I can forgive that faux pas. I really enjoyed myself and I will return time and time again to try everything. The menu offers many things I love. Great concept. Cool vibes.

Walking in, the black and gold nuances strike you immediately and sitting at the bar, watching each drink being made is really quite fun. Their cocktail menu is absolutely spectacular. As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.
