Where to begin when everything was fantastic?! What a hidden gem! Angie was a fabulous waitress! We had two kids in tow and she made sure they were well taken care of in all the best ways; from their delicious hot chocolates to their smiling pancakes. (Which were so cute!) Each and every one of us cleared our plates save for a bite or two. A sandwich, a Gyro, Mozzarella sticks and two pancakes were devoured. All of our food was hot and fresh! We were greeted warmly the moment we stepped in the door too. Thanks so much for a pleasant night with great food during all the chaos of the world. We will definitely be back!

This place has been here forever. After church we came here for a late breakfast/early lunch. The wait time was only about 5 mins and then we were seated. Take notes....THIS is how an order of hashbrowns is supposed to look and my omelet was absolutely loaded... bacon, sausage, corned beef and ham with cheese and peppers of course. The pancakes were straight up perfect. Will be going back.

My friend has mentioned Sam's as a place for good food in Ferndale. When she and I were in the area, we came in for lunch. We had the fish and chips and a bowl of chili. The fish is amazing, and the portion sizes are also great for the prices. Overall, it's your average diner going by looks, but I would return for the delicious fish and chips.

The food is decent here. They really serve you a lot of food for the money. There is a large variety of foods. You can get from breakfast to burgers to dinners. The wait staff is friendly. The restaurant is on the small side but there's ample seating and the atmosphere is nice.

    Great food, generous portions.

They are located next to a gas station which comes in handy if you also need gas. I order the number 1 and my son ordered the pizza burger. Both were very filling and delicious. The original burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was pretty good. The onions and pickles were so good and I don't usually like pickles. I didn't try the signature sauce as I'm not a fan of thousand island. But many people will enjoy it the way it's suppose to be made I'm sure. The pizza burger was pretty cool. It had 3 nice sized mozzarella sticks on them and pizza sauce. We wanted fries and they only come in one size. The one size is big enough to share. We were suggested the lemon pepper fries and that was such a great suggestion. They are fresh cut fries and you can tell. I was happy they had regular fries and not the battered crispy ones a lot of place do. So they definitely will get 5 stars for the fries alone. It has some seating inside, but most people seem to get carry out. The men at the counter were so nice in helping us. They really suggested things we would like and we did. I will be glad to give them my business again.

Walking in, there was very limited seating and about an hour wait, which clearly showed how popular this spot is. Thankfully, the hostess told us about their basement bar area where you can grab drinks and snacks while waiting. The downstairs area had such a cool speakeasy vibe dark ambiance, vinyl music playing, and honestly the perfect date night atmosphere. The drinks were REALLY good, and you can also order appetizers down there. Once we made it upstairs, we grabbed bar seating and talked to a few people around us who all said this was their favorite spot. Our bartender was amazing -- super attentive, explained the menu well, and gave great recommendations. We ordered the wings (perfectly seasoned and so good) and the chicken sandwich with buffalo added for a little spice... absolutely delicious. I also tried the pistachio martini, and wow definitely one of my favorite drinks I've had in a while. Overall, such a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and service. I'll definitely be back, and I've already been telling all my friends about this place!

We however opted for the regular Pastrami Hash and Chicken & Waffles. Both were delightful from taste to texture! The chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection. It's not as it used to be. Carrots were hard, not cooked enough and so much smaller than last time about a year ago. Buffalo Cauliflower was dry as hell, the Buffalo sauce was just slightly drizzled over, no flavor whatsoever. I had to ask for extra sauce. Very disappointing. Portion very small. Other dishes were also average. The best one was the eggplant parmesan pasta. I don't know what is going on with this place but it seemed like they don't care that much anymore with providing exceptional dishes. Everything just became average.

I had to add ketchup to amp up the flavor. At first, I attributed it to the Scotch egg I had, a soft-boiled egg wrapped in well-seasoned sausage and fried. Both the sausage and the accompanying sauce were savory and tasty. And then, I thought, potentially, it was the battered onion rings that dulled my taste buds. However, logically, the Brasserie burger includes bacon, caramelized onions, and Dijon mustard, flavors that are not muted nor shy about shouting their presence. I checked my leftovers and found no evidence of those add-ons, and then found my receipt. I was charged for a plain hamburger, so at least I didn't pay more than I should have. But I was disappointed not to have received what I ordered. Service was otherwise fine.
