S'mores

Ooooh this was good ice cream. We were a little surprised at the prices ($9 for a regular) but it made sense once we received our ice creams. Portion sizes are pretty large and had a great amount of toppings and each marshmallow/crème brûlée is toasted to order. There's a lot of seating inside, but we didn't see any outside which would've been nice as it was a beautiful day. Service was super friendly and the guy at the counter was quick to offer an explanation of the menu since it was our first time there. Great spot for a sweet treat!

Think this is where that black salon used to be. Quite a bit spot for an ice cream place. Grabbed a regular Nutella cup. It comes with Chocolate Cocoa Puffs. $8.11. The ice cream is smooth as expected from the nitrogen ice. There is a big gob of Nutella on top of it, which toppled down. :( Not too bad. Smooth and crunchy with the puffs and oh so yummy with the Nutella. Happy to see a nitrogen ice cream shop downtown.

Having more than one vegan option and it not being some whip? Sign me up! I tried the vegan coffee with strawberries and it was delicious. My only complaint was it was really soft and melting before I even got it but it was a humid July day so I imagine it's harder to freeze it, nitrogen or not, in those conditions. It still tasted great! For him, he got the fruity pebbles milkshake and it was very impressive. I am still amazed at the 4 full size marshmallows with fruity pebble garnish. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, as it was our first time in, explaining how the menu worked, and the specialty flavors. You get to watch them make it with the nitrogen and there is plenty of room and tables inside. We chose to take ours on the go and walk around downtown. Also, I love the location. There is plenty of easy access parking nearby and it's located right next to Royal Oak Music Theatre. I can't wait to come back and try more flavor combinations!

WOW!!! Literally the best ice cream ever!!! I am an ice cream lover and this is by far the best!! Had high expectations based on what they advertise (freshly made, real ingredients) and the actual thing exceeded my expectations!! Flavor is 10/10. Tastes exactly like tiramisu cake except as an ice cream. Super smooth. No ice bits. All just creamy tasty tiramisu goodness in your mouth. Service is also amazing! Staff are all super nice and friendly! Told us all about the place and recommended the right flavor. Not a cheap place but definitely worth it!!

After seeing such positive reviews on Yelp, my friend and I were really excited to try the nitrogen ice cream here. Before I review the ice cream, I just wanted to give a big shout out to the employees (and the lady who probably manages/owns the shop) for their amazing service and hospitality. The lady was very nice and checked in on us and gave us recommendations. The cost of the nitrogen ice cream was pretty fair - a double scoop was only $6.05 (and you could choose a topping for free, if I recall correctly). "PISTACHIO" HOUSE MIX - 6.05 I got this because I wanted to try something a bit more unique. I also love pistachios so this was perfect. The amount of ice cream for how much I paid was definitely worth it. However, I noticed off the bat how green the ice cream one - almost like shamrock shake green and less so pistachio green. After a few bites, I couldn't really get myself to love it. Besides the pistachio pieces in the ice cream, the flavor itself didn't taste like pistachio and felt artificial. The texture was creamy and thick but nothing extraordinary. "COOKIES AND CREAM" HOUSE MIX - 6.05 My friend got this and felt similarly. Besides the Oreo chunks, the vanilla ice cream by itself lacked any vanilla flavor. The ice cream was pretty bland and underwhelming. Overall, fantastic service and reasonable pricing for nitrogen ice cream. I want to believe that my friend and I came on an off day (to be fair, we also came 20 minutes before closing) since so many reviews rave about this ice cream shop.

wonderfully decorated modern and fun atmosphere for a unique ice cream spot! i love nitro ice cream because of its creamy texture, and they are masters of the craft. it's the smoothest, creamiest, most flavorful ice cream i've had in a minute. i ordered the coffee flavor and it tasted great and homemade, like a nice creamy espresso. i also tried the taro flavor, which was sweet and tasted like taro boba tea. they have a bunch of topping options and endless combos! The staff was very friendly and kind, happy to make recommendations. I highly recommend this spot for ice cream in downtown royal oak and i will definitely be back for more.

Yum! My family and I ordered this through DoorDash and I must say it was truly delicious. We each tried one of their specials and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The browned marshmallows they put on top of some of their sundaes tasted like a real campfire-roasted marshmallow. So good! I look forward to going back and trying some other flavors.

Strawberry ice cream with Nutella and biscoff (I did a build your own). It was so good!!!!

Stopped in during the work day and it didn't disappoint! Staff was super friendly, ice cream was delish, and it had a very cute seating area! Will be back again.

We were in the area tonight after going to Popeye's for dinner, and I remembered that I wanted to try iFreeze - I have been seeing it all over Instagram. They have a ton of vegan flavors! (I'm not vegan, but dairy usually messes me up, so it's nice to have options sometimes) We ended up getting the Oreo creation with vegan vanilla ice cream. I'd overall give it 3/5 stars - I've had better vegan ice cream but I've also had worse. It's topped with an Oreo cookie. The rest of the menu looked delicious as well, and when we arrived, the staff asked us if we had been to iFreeze before, and walked us through the menu. When we left, a staff person asked us how everything was, too; good customer service. I'd definitely come back here but probably would try a dairy flavor. I was impressed by how many vegan options they had, though, and none of them were an upcharge either. A regular-size ice cream is $5.45 normally and a large ice cream is $5.95. They also have milkshakes and can even do vegan milkshakes.

Pi Day is celebrated every year on the fourteenth of March (3.14) around the world. Pi is used to represent a mathematical constant. Not only is it the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter (3.14), but it's also the 16th letter in the Greek alphabet (). On Pi Day this franchise sells pie slices and chicken pot pie slices for $3.14. There are so many slices to choose from....fruit pies, cream pies, cakes and pot pies. For Pi Day, service was on point for all the customers they were serving. It was definitely all hands on deck to take care of everyone. The cooler also has old fashioned vanilla ice cream for pie ala mode lovers. To my surprise my favorite dessert of carrot cake was included in the special slice price. Winning! This location is located in a nice strip mall on the corner of Southfield & Thirteen Mile roads, next door to T.J. Maxx. This is your go to location for a pie-to-go shop. Note that they are open Monday through Friday and Sundays. Tip of the Day: Right now, go mark your calendar for March 14th of next year with: " #PiDay - Achatz Handmade Pie Co." You will be glad you did! Of course, you don't have to wait until March to savor some of their delicious pies! Bon appétit!

Tonight I paid attention and all was right in my world. It's jarring when I don't. Still, throw up a yellow piece of tape or something. This is not drunk or wheelchair friendly. I wasn't either yet, so the coast was clear. We sat at the bar and it was vino for bestie- a malbec and a black cherry bourbon cola slushy and agua for me. Mike was our bartender / server and he made sparkling conversation like we were old friends. He just got back from Vegas. He went to Chinatown. Love it! The atmosphere is a light wood, sports bar feel, the tvs were closed captioned, and the menus had QR codes. There was a $30 ancho salmon on the menu. It came with my choice of side. I opted for the Greek salad. She got French onion soup and quinoa salad. Let's talk about my meal and why I'm giving 5 stars despite the whole front step thing. The salmon was perfect. It has a crispy red speckled exterior that was slightly spicy and very savory. Inside it was perfectly cooked and moist. It was just a bit less than an inch thick and pieces flaked off on my fork easily. There was no fishiness and I ate the crisp skin, which I never do usually with salmon. It was divine. It came with a side. The Greek side salad took up half my plate and it was piled high with a truly interesting and thoughtful array of quirky bites. It was weird for sure- but it worked. Picture a Greek salad in your mind. Ok this is not that. It had the usual crunchy lettuce with a light and tangy Greek dressing. There were vibrant and sweet red onions and feta. And then it got wild. There were crunchy pickled beets, roasted tomatoes that tasted like basil, sweet jalapenos, (Yes- you read that right!) crunchy fried garbanzos that tasted like Indian spices... It was the strangest and most deliberately delicious Greek salad I've ever had. I'm not a salad person. At all. This was the star of the show, but that salmon was stiff competition. Together, the meal sang. You have no idea the gratitude that swept over me after having that nursing home salmon at Red Robin for my birthday. I have been vindicated. This is the salmon I was meant to have. This is the salmon I deserve. I can now return to Las Vegas satisfied that Michigan did show up in a big way for me today. Thanks Vincetta Garage and Mike! Five stars! Fix your step.
