This was absolutely a great stop in at Mochinut Berkley for lunch. I have been wanting to go in to see what the Mochinut this was about. Clarissa was really helpful to walk me through the Korean street food offerings. After her explanations, I decided to order the original rice hotdog with no sugar. This was even available in a couple options. I opted for all beef hotdog. They are served up literally like a corndog. I love corndogs so I was excited to this fluffy breaded Mochinut rice hotdog. It was wonderful. I will definitely be dropping by here on a regular basis. The price point makes for a reasonable lunch option at $4.99. I also got a 3 piece Mochi Donuts. They have a variety of flavors. I decided to go with the strawberry shortcake, crème brûlée and their original glazed Mochinut donuts. You can save with the 3 pack for $10. They have a window counter for dine-in to watch the traffic of Woodward Avenue. It is mainly a to-go spot. They share space with a to-go pizza restaurant. Came here for a half dozen mochinuts for work. I had never been here before but have been driving by and wanted to give them a try. They share a store front with a pizza place. Service was super friendly and patient, allowing me to take my time to pick out what I wanted. It's hard to decide with the selection they have. It's a very clean and updated decor, to go only. They also have soft serve which I will go back to try one day. If you like mochi dough donuts, or haven't tried, you should. Some other of the "French" bakeries carry them now too. read more

A small little spot with some seats but mostly for to go. A little expensive for one donut so did the 3 for $10 option. I was a little disappointed that all the flavor was just from the icing on the top but overall still tasty and fresh. read more

First time at this Mochinut! The donuts were very good! I got Nutella and ube. Also tried a couple drinks- they were good but the matcha was a little too sweet for my liking. Not much to say about Mochinut. Definitely the most decorative, pretentious donut shop in the area. The best? ABSOLUTELY not. The vibes overpower the game. I would much rather come here to checkout its collection of Japanese imported ramen packages on display, and I would also get some of their delicious boba. Other than that? Not much I could add. Grab a pizza from Crispelli's down the line, and then grab a freshly refrigerated Blossom Boba Tea on the way back. Great combo, and to me, that's the only thing this place serves to me. The donuts are insulso, period. Supported by only a good concept and sheer will for a fan base out in the real world. I like the idea of tearing apart bite sized Tim-bit-like balls, total reimagining of what a donut could be. I think it's cute; but does it serve me well? Not me, or my partner agrees. Menu was simple as was ordering. Via jumbo tablet or a person. The price wasn't terrible and I think we will definitely be back to try more treats and drinks. We had to try a little bit of everything! First off be warned... there is NO RAMEN at this location! I saw the ramen advertised at Mochinut on Instagram so I decided to try it out. When I got there was so disappointed to learn that this location had no ramen! When you walk inside the store is pretty small. So not much room to breathe or exist. We got our food to go! I would love for the Korean hot dogs to have the hot dog surrounded by cheese instead of having it half pure cheese then the bottom having cheese and corn dog... I literally just started eating from the bottom and threw the top a half away,... the purple boba was soooooo good! I def recommend that one and the brown sugar as my top favorites. As for the doughnuts I say creme brulee, strawberry and the purple one. The service was pretty fast and good. You order on a screen when you first walk in and parking is a bit tight. read more

We stopped in to grab some bubble tea and a rice hotdog. The service here was exceptional, very friendly staff. I got the hot Cheeto rice hotdog with cheese in it- so delicious! There's no tables to sit at in here, more of a grab and go spot. The boba was okay, not my favorite and really expensive. Other than that, a solid spot! read more

The overall vibe was cool. It is inside Uncle Andy's Pizza which was nice if you want both items. You order on a tablet which was convenient, and the manager was very knowledgeable with any questions. Food was quick, but not cheap. The donuts surprised me as to how much they cost, but I felt the teas and corn dogs were more reasonable. Speaking of corn dogs, they were fine but we don't feel the need to have the again. Next time we will get pizza. The potato one had a nice crunch, but I did add the sugar and that was not the move. It was weirdly sweet and the sausage was slightly sweet which threw me off. The original was good, but the sweet thick dough became too much 1/2 way in. The favorite was the hot Cheeto with the cheese filling. Not as sweet as the others, but was quite greasy. The milk tea was good and the boba tasted good as well. These were premade though, they did not make them infront of you. The lemonade was TART, but I still enjoyed it. Now...to the donuts. I've heard they are chewy but I was still surprised as to how much chewing they required. The dough is unique. Not bad, just different and takes some getting used to. The toppings are what make them each different. Out of all of them we liked the cookies and cream best (how can you go wrong with an Oreo). The crème brûlée and fruity pebbles were let downs. The crème brûlée looked like it was going to crunch but it was lacking. The fruity pebbles icing was weirdly acidic and we just didn't care for it. Others were alright, but not phenomenal. All in all a cool experience and different meal, but not sure we'd go back. read more

Went out of our way to get a voucher for a free taiyaki 3pc on a 10 dollar order and we're not at all clear about having to make the order with the staff instead of on the kiosk. Voucher says "Show to staff" and nothing else. The entire point of the trip was wasted and they made a big deal about a simple mistake instead of taking 2 minutes to fix it. Tight on money and would not have made the purchase otherwise. Do not go here. read more

The vibe is so off in here--I don't know who thought it was a good idea to have this share the same space as the pizza spot but it's weird. When you're paying so much money for doughnuts, you should be having a beautiful experience. Then to top it all off, the doughnuts aren't even good. The icing is thick, sticky, and has the powdery taste of icing sugar. read more

I just have to say , went for there soft opening and the food was fantastic they where super busy but eager to make every customer happy I would highly recommend stopping in and giving this place a try 10/10 !!! Keep the mochi coming !! read more
