As the name suggests, this Cafe is dog friendly. There's even a room in the back specifically for patrons with dogs. This is one of the neighborhood favorite spots. The Cafe is clean and minimal in decorations. There's ample seating, but the chairs are not very comfortable. Coffee is good and they sell their coffee beans. Coffee & Bark is a cute neighborhood cafe, and a great place to meet a friend for coffee. There are a variety of traditional and specialty coffee drinks as well as pastries and sandwiches. This is a dog-friendly cafe, so there are treats for dogs too. There is ample seating in the front lounge plus another room that I think doubles as an event space. It seems popular with the teens from the local high school at noon, but has a calm atmosphere otherwise. There is a small parking lot outside, but also ample, non-metered street parking. read more

Super cute atmosphere! I felt there were spots for mostly people who wanted to work but I found a really nice cozy spot by the window to read for a while. The sausage and cheese English muffin I had was good, flavorful, and juicy so I'd probably get it again. The iced salted caramel latte was also delish, but I felt it was too sweet for my tastes so next time I'll get less syrups (that was my fault though for not knowing!). I also liked the "barkeasy" in the back for those who want to bring their dogs inside instead of sitting outside. Coffee & Bark coffee shop is one of the rare independent coffee spaces open weekdays before 0700 AM. What a lovely experience! Space is clean, beautifully decorated, and friendly. Baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are available for bipeds. There are options for furry tail-waggers too! My dark roast coffee was fresh and hot. The chocolate brownie was terrific! The ambiance of this little coffee shop was fantastic! I loved that they had seating areas to study, read or hang out. The staff member was helpful & the food was great. We got an Almond Danish heated up. The drinks were both a hit and a miss. The hit was the Oreo Frappe- delicious! The miss was the Matcha Frappe, not the best but it was alright. The almond croissant was top tier and the maple cinnamon latte made me feel all the autumn vibes. So excited to have a new coffee spot in Berkley! It is a beautiful space - clean, neat, well-decorated. They have a great coffee menu with reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Pastries look great, and wishing I had a dog because the dog treats are too stinking CUTE! We visited on their opening day. Everyone was friendly and willing to answer questions or make modifications. I ordered a brown sugar shaken espresso. It was tasty but a little heavy handed on the cinnamon. In the future, I'd just ask for little or no cinnamon and I think it would be perfect! My wife ordered a matcha latte, which she enjoyed. Honestly, it was their first day so we know it will only get better. We will 100% be back and would encourage you to visit, too! We had a lovely weekend visit to Coffee & Bark with our dog. The coffee drinks were great and my muffin was excellent. The man behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommended. Two requests that would make it even better place: (1) the dark paint color in the dog lounge could be swapped for something more inviting, and (2) some indirect lighting in the dog lounge would be a nice alternative or addition to the cold industrial overhead lighting. read more

Such a cute concept. A cup of joe and cute doggies. Went here on an early Saturday morning with the hubby. I ordered the iced butter pecan latte, it was delicious, not overly sweet, you can tell the quality of the coffee is good. My husband got the cold brew which he really enjoyed. I ordered a croissant to go with my latte and my husband ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches, both were tasty. We didn't see too many dogs since it was an early Saturday morning but we will definitely be back for the coffee. read more

I am so digging a cute café right on Coolidge. They're medium roast coffee, I believe it's called elite, it's fantastic. That's pretty much my go to. I've had a few of the espresso drinks, they have been delicious, but I like to stick with a brew when I need my caffeine fix. They have a wonderful staff. Overall a very cute, local coffee shop. The staff are very friendly but the coffee is unfortunately always burnt and sugary. I've tried a couple drinks options and wanted so badly to enjoy them, but ultimately am reminded of Biggby's sugary coffees. A great place to study most of the time. The side room echoes pretty badly so even one loud customer can make it a bit difficult to concentrate. Staff are so lovely though, will just have to stick to their non-coffee drinks. read more

I'm super happy to have a coffee shop in our small town of Berkley. The space here is great and everyone is super nice. The drinks are pretty good but I'm hoping will get even better with time. I have a dream that one day they will make their own syrups and source local human treats (instead of buying) but maybe that's on the horizon??? Im still coming back to visit soon. read more

I'm always on the lookout for a space that's pup friendly! Coffee & Bark checks those boxes, it's a cute spot, and staff is friendly. I had gone to the cafe to study but ended up leaving due to loud music and being too distracted (not the cafes fault) but what bugged me and found to be a little odd was when a customer went to place her order and was told her pup couldn't be inside with her even just for a moment as she was only inside to place her order and clearly intended to sit outside after ordering (very well behaved pup and on a leash!), I wouldn't feel comfortable tying my pup alone outside somewhere new either especially as the outdoor seating is a small area right up against a road. I'm sure the company has regulations they need to comply with but finding a way to make placing an order for customers brining animals to a shop that promotes inclusitivioty for animals could be a great improvement! read more
