    Cute packaging!

Very tasty! I "double dashed" today because I wanted bubble tea with my DoorDash order. I actually wanted Onezo, down the street, but it wasn't an option and Bober was. I've seen Bober before but never tried their tea or mochi donuts. I ordered the brown sugar tea, with 50% sugar, and it was VERY tasty (and sugary - so now I'm wondering how a 100% sugar drink would taste). They also packaged it very nicely - my Dasher left my drink in FRONT of my door, so I figured it would spill everywhere when I opened the door to get it, but it was sealed tight, with a bubble packaging on top too! A+. I will have to stop by sometime and try the donuts and also some of their other drinks now, as it was very good.

Both a bubble tea and mochi donut shop it's pretty convenient to get. From first impressions, it's very pretty with great places to take photos for Instagram with reasonable seating on the side. All their orders go through a machine ordering system when you first walk in. I find it very convenient especially if you want to browse the menu. I got the the 6 mochi donuts and mung bean pandan latte with tapioca and costed a bit over $20. There's a good variety of donut options and I personally loved the watermelon flavour the most! If you're looking for some sweets to treat yourself occasionally this is a good spot. It's a bit more expensive but totally worth it for a special treat.

Same place as the mochi donuts. There were patrons inside and at the counter. The door was open. I walked in and the woman at the counter told me they were closed. Apparently they close at 8pm. I had walked in minutes after 8PM. There were folks inside too. I was told they were closed after taking one step inside. :(

I was so excited to try this tea place due to the mochi donuts. I had waited so long for this area to get those donuts it felt like I had been waiting forever for us to catch up to the latest food trend. I am also a big bubble tea fan and enjoy trying the different businesses. When I came in today around noon I was a bit skeptical about that they even still had tea. They only had a few donuts on display, no menu boards or menus available throughout the store, and a long line of customers for donuts. When I finally got to the front of the line I saw they had one plastic foldout menu for the tea. It was a bit hard to decide especially since I was not able to look in advanced and there were a lot of people behind me. I settled on a six pack of donuts and the signature milk tea. I was pleasantly surprised by the tea. It was very tasty. It was a nice balance of milk and tea. Many places make their milk tea too milky, and you could taste the tea in this one. I typically do not like tapioca boba, but Kung Fu tea actually makes some good chewy flavorful boba. This place actually also had some very yummy boba. It says is it stir fried brown sugar, and it is very chewy, flavorful and delicious. I enjoyed it tremendously. But I am not entirely sure it was made the way it was described. It said it was to be creme bruleed. with chizu cheese. It was not sure if that was true for mine. If you go to Vivi, they definitely brulee their bruleed tea, but the top of mine did not appear so. Still, it was surprisingly good and the donuts were excellent. Good enough to come back for more with the entire family. As far as how this business is run, since they are new they are probably still working out how to manage and organize. They did not maximize the usefulness of the people working here today. They had two people up front helping one customer at a time very slowly and at least one person in the back fulfilling the donut orders and making the tea. I am sure with more experience will bring more efficiency. But this is also a very pricey place that will not maximize value. Come here if you like trendy food. Other tea places have a better value. Other tea places also have a bigger variety. This place does not have as full of a menu as Kung Fu or Quickly. I would check the menu online on yelp first before venturing out here if you like a wider variety of flavors. I also did not see any slushy type teas. Personally I will be back though. It was a good experience overall.

A bit pricey. Ordered 3 donuts for $7.50. Would've felt 'ok' if they were bigger but they're a bit on the thinner side. If you order box of 6 (mix) mochi donuts, it's $15. Would be a better deal if it's actually cheaper if you order more? But anyways, they were tasty and flavorful! Very fluffy and melts in your mouth. I also ordered the jasmine tea with tapioca. At first I wasn't sure if I should order boba because of the reviews that I read, but it was okay! You can't really go wrong with jasmine flavor tea. Could cut down on the amount of ice given though. Don't be too critical with the reviews! They are a newer cafe. Do see this place being a popular hangout spot in the future. Will be back for more of their yummy donuts!

I'm a big donut and bubble tea connoisseur. I am obsessed with all things donuts and bubble tea. With that being said, the bubble tea here was... interesting. Their tapioca bubbles are "stir fried" and it was kind of a cool taste, but definitely not my favorite. The milk tea itself was also very sweet (and I love sweet) but it actually made my stomach hurt afterwards. The stir fried bubbles with the overly sweet tea was honestly not my favorite. The mochi donuts had a good selection of flavors such as taro, oreo, pistachio, etc. I ordered a box of 4 donuts and they all tasted the same. If you've ever had mochi donuts you know that the texture is amazing, and at bober, that's no different. The texture of the mochi donuts was incredible but they all tasted the exact same. Overall, I was a little disappointed with this place. It's the first mochi donuts I've had in Michigan and I wasn't loving it.

The decor here is so nice! It's a small shop, you order on a kiosk so make sure to have your digital wallet or credit cards on you! The boba here is okay, I really liked the stir fried boba. In my opinion, it can get a little too sweet so definitely lower the sugar in your drink. I don't like how you're unable to adjust ice level in the drinks. And so many drinks are unable to adjust the sugar. The mochi donuts here are delicious. I love the consistency. My favorites are the taro & the black sesame.

Listen!!!!! This is bubble tea and donuts at the peak of luxury! I've never put something soo delicious in my mouth! Where do is begin. The boba is dairy and non-dairy friendly. I tried the mango green tea with the stir fried boba. Smooth. Even though there were real mango purée in the boba, it was such a luscious mouth feel. The boba were done perfectly. I'm still dreaming about it. I just wish it could adjust the ice or sweetness but that is it. Perfection. The Mochi donuts!! Krispy crème dreams it could grow up to be a donut like this. The shape is uniquely shareable but the texture.... Melt in your mouth, not too sweet, with a slight crisp outer texture and a soft chewy inner texture. It is truly magical. I got some for my coworkers and they were a major hit! Note: they are best eaten same day. Don't put in the fridge or the Mochi May seize and harden. Don't let the moisture trap in the box either. Will be back again and again! No question

Icing wasn't even dried & the cashier used a LONG ASS CHOPSTICK to pick up the donuts

They tried to bring the mochi donuts to michigan (finally), so I got pretty excited for it. However; this was the worst boba and mochi donut place I've ever tried. Do not go here. It's overpriced and understaffed. The cashier told me in order to use the 1/2 bogo (sep 9-11), i had to go through the register which was fine. However; there wasn't a sign that said that, so I had to literally ask the cashier how to get the bogo deal. I overheard her tell her coworker "omg i forgot to put out the sign out bc it got so busy." Wow...like all these people were paying full price for this already overpriced boba. Then, we order 4 boba drinks thinking it would take 2 boba drinks 1/2 off, but she told me that it only works on one set of boba drinks AFTER I PAID. Who the eff does that?! Ok, so after that happened, they didn't even let us see the total, so it ended up being like $50 for boba and donuts....plus they didn't even give us the receipt, so we literally had to go up twice to ask for the freaking damn receipt. Hire some experienced people instead of 15 year olds with working permits to service the long ass line that went out the door. I'm not kidding, it was sooo long, we had to come back the next morning. Ugh, I'm sorry, but I simply can't say anything good about my experience. The boba taste - 0/5 stars: We got the grapefruit supreme tea & dude that shit was SO BITTER LIKE NOTHING WOULD FIX IT BC I TRIED WHEN I GOT HOME. Their teas are ALSO bitter and boba is "stir-fried" to "carmelize" the sugar. That is just a gimmick. The only thing tolerable was the brown sugar cookie and cream. The donut taste/presentation - 1/5 stars: The donuts looked like shit bc the icing didn't dry properly. I get it, youre busy, so yeah its fine if it doesnt look too pretty, but damn...the donuts do not have any flavor to them & if I did a blind taste test, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between each flavor.

First and foremost, I would like to say that the bubble tea here is 10/10. The boba here is soooo good, seriously one of the best bobas I ever had! So sugary and chewy and the flavour is amazing. I got the Brown Sugar Cookies & Cream and my friends got the Brown Sugar Matcha + the Chizu Strawberry Green Tea -- they were all delicious and were made sooo well. Literally the flavour of each one was phenomenal. Also the ears on the cup are so cute. The mochi doughnuts are eh. I'd honestly give them a generous 3/5. All the flavours are pretty similar. The only ones that stood out were the taro and rose, and still, not that strong of flavours. Honestly the only good ones were the taro ones, if I would get them again I would just get 6 Taro. The frosting is creamy and good and it feels like it's worth the money. I do however admit they are cute and picture worthy, but honestly that doesn't cut it considering the price. The bubble tea genuinely saved the rating I am giving this place. Overall, I will 100% come back for more bubble tea; the doughnuts, not so sure.

If you are an IG food blogger this is a very instagrammable place , but I won't make it my go to coffee place . Nearby Madison Heights has many better and affordable Boba/ Vietnamese coffee spots. I had trouble with the machine ( you can only order digitally and no cash is accepted) and the barista refused to help clarify . I could only order a single donut with purchase of a drink . It was awkward tipping too with the machine . The drinks are packaged cute with an espresso bean and flavor is decent . There are fun mochi donut flavors, but I am not a big donut fan so can't comment on the quality. Worth stopping by just for a quick photo if in the plaza or area already ... not worth a longer drive in my opinion

Very expensive drinks. The kiosk system makes it so difficult to place an order. It's not like other bubble tea places that use the simpler Snack Pass layout. It's also too easy to spend $8 for a drink that's literally filled from bottom to top with ice. The worst part is the lack of customization. The owner is very rude. I asked if I could have less ice, and the owner said, "With all due respect, if you want less ice, you can go somewhere else. The drinks are meant to be cold." I asked if he could just use water instead of ice, since the ingredients are all refrigerated anyway. And the owner said, "No, because cold water isn't going to make the drink cold enough. Ice is faster." A similar experience happened to my friend, literally yesterday. She ordered a large drink and asked if she could have less ice. They ended up filling up the cup to be 2/3 full, and left 1/3 of the cup empty with air. It really doesn't make much sense why they're so... stingy? We all think the real reason they won't do less ice is because the owner wants to save some pennies on the ingredients. For me, I would rather have the drinks filled with water than ice, so the cost savings dont even make sense. I just don't like ending up with a bunch of ice that takes forever to melt, that I can't even enjoy as part of the drink. And for my friend, she has sensitive teeth, which is why she doesn't like iced beverages. The inside of the store is very cute. But the service is very poor. Oh, one more thing. If you want to tip less money, the kiosk makes it incredibly difficult to do so. You have to manually enter the amount, if you want to deviate from the preset amounts. So, if you feel like you want to tip $0 because you think it's weird to be leaving a gratuity to the irksome owner, you have to put it in yourself in a very inconvenient way.

So I notice people here in the first few reviews likes to complain. First of all, I was here on the first day it opened and the following Friday, everyone was friendly and welcoming. If you had questions they were there to answer. My order came quickly. I did have to wait in line for about 6 mins to order from the kiosk but they are trying to do something new in efficient. Do not hate on a business that is trying new.I do wish they had 2 kiosk instead one for a better flow of ordering. People should always know that the first week of new business opening it will not run smoothly because people are still trying to figure things out. I got my order within 8 minutes after I ordered from the kiosk. As you can tell from my photos I basically ordered every flavor they had. They were crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Just delicious. You can tell the difference between the flavors. I'm sorry but for those that say they can't tell the difference, their taste buds must be flawed. Even my 3 and 5 years old can tell the difference between the Thai tea and taro donuts because one like more than the other. As for the drinks it was very creamy which I loved very much. I was able to change the sugar level and ice level. On my second day of ordering here my order came out quicker. The donuts are on the more expensive side but I paid $3.5 per mochi donut at a place in Atlanta and in Denver which is more expensive and not good as Mochi Dough. Especially the mochi donuts I got in Atlanta, I had to throw them out, I bought it for 8 other people to try and they thought it was nasty.

OK...now that you all know where it's located (corner of Rochester Road/Big Beaver - S/W corner) on to the good stuff. It's a cute little shop, definitely Instagram-worthy. When you walk in, do not walk up to the counter to order, you MUST use the kiosk. Therein lies my gripe. Sometimes, hard to believe, I only want 1, ONE, donut. Here, you can only order 3, 6 or 9. It's not like, I can't eat 3 donuts but diet-wise, maybe I only want one. In any case, there is no flexibility in ordering. Once you complete the kiosk order, they call your name and you go up to the counter to order. There are regular flavors and special flavors. I went for a mix and limited myself to three because since this was my first time, I wanted to the whole experience. I ordered the taro-ube, strawberry shortcake, and tiramisu. If you've never had a mochi donut, they are made from glutinous rice flour so they are chewier then the average cake or yeast donut. These donuts are topped with frosting which gives each donut their unique flavor. They are definitely a 10 on the sugar overload scale. My favorite was the strawberry shortcake because it reminded me of the Good Humor strawberry shortcake ice cream bar I used to eat as a kid. It also gave me the sugar buzz I got as a kid from eating too much sugar. There is also a laundry list of different types of drinks but I was short on time and my AC1 couldn't handle more sugar. I'll have to come back another time just for a drink. If you've never had a mochi donut, I recommend stopping by with a friend and splitting a few.
