It wasn't anything special (a bit too sweet for my liking) but can't complain for the pricing especially for its size. Great tapioca pearls was really chewy. My new favorite boba place!! We didn't really talk to the staff but the order was accurate and fast! The inside had three TVs, cute string lights, and plenty of seating for friends! I finally paid a visit and it went great. Cute and simple cafe to just chill and hang out with friends and families. The drinks I got were all good! There were so many choices to choose from the menu. I have yet to try the desserts and food so that will be on my list to try when I head out that way again. What I also love was that it's kids friendly because they have a section in the cafe for cardboard games for kids or adults. The kiddos loved it and couldn't stop playing them. Today is my little sister's 18th birthday, so I decided to order from Quickly's to get it delivered to her since I couldn't be there to celebrate in person. I left a note on the order asking them if they could draw a cake on her cup for her birthday, just to make it a little extra special. Not only did they draw a super cute cake, but they also upgraded the cup size and left a nice little note. It's just really nice when a business takes the time to do these things and makes you feel valued as a customer. As for the taste, I haven't had the snacks there (just the tea!), but can vouch that the bubble tea will satisfy your boba cravings. I was impressed with how delicious the boba tea was! I had the dairy-free matcha with strawberry popping boba. I believe they said it was a Thai coconut milk base. It was a good combination but there are so many options you can try. Ordering on the kiosk wasn't super intuitive. You select the drink but need to add any additions despite if they are named in the title of the drink. So to order the matcha you need to add matcha on the selection screen. So once I figured that out, it was easy to place our order. I appreciate the menu inside states which options are vegan and it made it easy to determine, despite the menu being overwhelmingly large. In the dining area there is a variety of games for use and the staff was friendly. I would definitely go back and recommend if you're looking for good teas in the area. read more

My first ever boba experience was in San Francisco. Right around the hotel where my work puts us up is one of these joints. So when I saw one of these guys pop up here in Detroit, it got me hella excited. Since we also have family visiting from out of state. Passionfruit snow sounds good with some bumbles. Actually after a heavy brunch next door some fruit drink sounds good to balance out the eggs and turkey sausage. I settled on a mango and passionfruit snow and added tapioca bobas as well as mango popping bobas too in a regular size. I love the the wonderful waft of sweet baked waffles, makes me want some, but still too full from brunch. Everything is dairy free except their lattes. It's popular and good spot for the entire family. Orders take a bit to come out, not so "quickly". The snow tastes pretty good, good enough to give you a brain freeze. I was having lunch with a friend at Ashoka today, and remembered that Quickly was in the same plaza. I'm a big fan of bubble tea and had been wanting to try them for a while. I got a medium-sized almond milk tea to go, with mango stars, and it was about $4.70. My friend wasn't that familiar with bubble tea and didn't order anything, but she was curious about the mango stars, and the employee offered her a sample of it, which was good customer service. The interior looks like a cozy place to hang out with friends or a significant other. The also have waffles and other snacks on their menu, which looked good. I'd put the bubble tea on par with Bubble Island's (Ann Arbor), which is one of my favorites. I will say there was a slight aftertaste, that I noticed later, but it could have just been me. Overall, I will come back here again at some point to try more of their bubble tea, although they have some competition in the area too ... This place has such a welcoming environment. As soon as you walk in, you see the large menu with plenty of options on it. There is so much variety! This is an amazing bubble tea cafe! Thanks to yelp we were able to discover it! The trek out here through all of the construction was worth it! Can't wait to come back with my other child. We tried a couple drinks. We had the matcha snow add taro pudding, and the Oreo snow add peppermint and passion fruit boba. The regular size was huge! I can only imagine how giant the large is. They also have a nice assortment of food to purchase. I appreciate a place where we can enjoy the tea and have a bit of lunch. We tried to mochi waffle and added Oreo. It was soft, chewy, and so delicious. I liked the texture and consistency of it. We also had some popcorn chicken. It was very hot and yummy. A very nice portion of it, very sharable. The ranch was good. We also put the chili powder on it and it added an extra level of flavoring to the mix. We ordered the Korean cheese on a stick. It was gooey and had good cheese pull. I think I liked this one even better than a previous restaurant. Last, we tried the musubi. I am not a spam fan, but they made it perfectly. It was hot and savory and crunchy and chewy all at the same time. I liked their soy/ teriyaki sauce they used. I would order it all again. The inside is cute. Ok. This place just has gone to crap. I ordered 2 original mochi waffles and they came out disgusting and they are not even a full waffle. I mean what the fck. There menu is Big so many choices to choose from. They offer slushes, to milk tea and coffee. Boba tea goes well with popcorn chicken and popcorn chicken goes well with waffles so if you have that late night sweet drink craving this is your new spot. The popcorn chicken does not need extra sauce to dip it's super good on its own. This place is going to be busy since it's new but it's worth the wait. They have a preorder/pick up option which is good. The price is comparable to all other bubble tea places. I did notice that toppings are extra .50 where other places up to two toppings are included. With so many good bubble tea places in the area, we were excited to give Quickly a try too. Unfortunately, this was no where as good as it was hyped up to be. The classic milk tea was overly sweet and overly artificial tasting. The popcorn chicken was also disappointing after all the good ratings. One piece had a "freezer burn" rubbery texture that made it inedible. Also beware...their rice bowls are just rice with their popcorn chicken on it with sauce on top. The best thing we ordered was the Nutella mochi waffle. This was actually surprisingly not too sweet and had a great texture. The place also did have a nice array of board games. I paid my first visit to Quickly Boba, and it definitely will not be my last! As an avid lover of bubble tea, I have to say they do it right. I'm a traditonalist when it comes to my bubble tea, but they also have various options on the menu for you to customize your drink. Their sizes are also HUGE, so I'd recommend getting a small. I got a large and have posted a picture of it over my lap for size comparison. I'd guess it was probably 24 oz. at least. Highly recommend this place, but here is why i'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5: I wanted to get some work done out of the office and thought about going to a usual Starbucks at first, but then I remembered Quickly had recently opened, and I would choose bubble tea over coffee any day. When I first arrived, I thought I had found my new mecca and could not wait to spend more time here. However, around 2pm, the place started to get very busy, and by 3pm they were PACKED with young people (I presume high school must have just gotten out) and the noise level was uncontrollable. Whereas I feel Starbucks can appeal to all crowds, Quickly is more of a hang out spot than a cafe and not for working professionals or any student who intends to study. If you're from the west coast like me, you should know that Quickly locations can have a bad rep (both in quality and management). That's why when I first walked into this place, I was pleasantly surprised. In summary, this is probably the best Quickly I've ever been to. Furthermore, this is one of the best boba places I have the opportunity to walk into In Michigan. Decor is on point, extremely clean and well managed, HUGE VALUE PORTIONS (this is their best selling point imo), and friendly staff and owners. It's a very wide open space so even on its more crowded days it doesn't get too cramped (so this can be an ideal study spot if you're a coffee shop/ boba spot studier like me). The boba scene in metro Detroit has just got a lot more competitive with the opening of this place. Excellent job Quickly, you got a new regular! A friend at work mentioned this place was opening, and i told myself I had to try. Made it in for their soft opening weekend and managed to try a few things. The taro milk tea was very sweet - a little too sweet for my liking. The tapioca was cooked/flavored well, but I could not get past how sweet it was. That said, this can be fixed by ordering half sugar next time. The egg puff waffles were kinda just ok. Compared to what I've had in the past, these didn't really stand out too much. I may just need to try a different flavor. Positive note is that you can get these while you get bubble tea, so it's kinda convenient, if you've been craving. The Taiwanese popcorn chicken was amazing! You get a lot for $6 and they've got that perfect crunch on the outside while still soft/juicy on the inside. The chili seasoning powder helps add a little bit of flavor. I just wish there were more season powder options. The decor gives off a very modern, trendy vibe. There's plenty of tables if you're there to hang out or take care of some work. There's board games to stay entertained with friends and USB charging ports built into the bench area for when your phone is dying!
