Rude customer service. Argued over a non descriptive drink that was spicy. Refused to make me a new one. Saying I should've asked. You could also list your flavors in the description because I don't know how mango translates to spicy. There was no mention of chamoy or chili spice. Or else I would not have ordered it. read more

I visited R&B Tea again and found the drink to be relatively similar to my last visit, this time opting for the House rather than the Classic. House Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($7.50) - According to the cashier, the House Milk Tea is made with brown sugar syrup instead of normal simple syrup. To be honest, the brown sugar taste isn't very apparent in this drink at all. I thought the sweetness at 50% was quite a bit less than other shops at 50% (and much less than my previous visit), which might explain the lack of caramel aroma. It does allow the tea to really shine, but the drink also has an overly earthy and somewhat milk powderish taste. The boba texture was an improvement on this visit - maybe just a tad harder than I prefer, but with a good chewiness that bounces back. If the pearls are soaked in sugar syrup, I couldn't tell. Again, the drink is still about $1.50 more expensive than other shops nearby. One extremely puzzling aspect is that they only filled my cup to around 3/4 full. If they're going to charge so much, they should at least fill the drink to the top... I personally think there are better shops to get boba in the area, but once again, I don't think R&B is a bad place to visit. It's certainly convenient if you're eating at the restaurants next door. read more

Solid drink place! I've been here a few times and I've always liked the drinks I got. The place is aesthetically pleasing/spacious and the workers are nice. I most recently tried the Mango Matcha drink which was an interesting combination. Not bad but I wouldn't get it again. This place is right next to 88 Banh Mi, so every time I go there, I stop here as well! It's a great bubble tea place with delicious teas. I specifically love their stormys. I have to admit I have only gotten the taro stormy here, despite having come three times. I just loved it so much the first time! However, I do order extra cheese cream now though. I love that stuff. The flavors of the cheese with the taro is mouth watering. That being said, I tried my friends drinks and every single one has been a hit. The service is good, very kind and fast! The ambiance is cool and there is a lot of seating, but it's nothing crazy. Having been to many R&B Teas across the U.S. as well as Asia, I can confidentially say this location has consistent drinks and service. I have been to a few R&B Teas where I do not plan on returning to but this specific store has yet to let me down. It is definitely one of the top authentic places to get boba/bubble tea in Michigan, in my personal opinion. Many places in Michigan offer gentrified boba/bubble tea drinks that are overpriced and disappointing. The menu here is diverse yet authentic at the same time. The pricing is pretty standard for a franchise boba shop like this. I personally enjoy the same order every time I come. It goes as follows, Jasmine Tea with Cream 30% sweet 50% ice. This is my usual order at every boba shop as I like to see which place is consistent. I enjoy the really strong jasmine tea here. The jasmine tea is very aromatic with notes that are not too bitter or bland. It has been very consistent the past couple of times I have visited. The cheese cream is one of my favorite drink toppings ever. The cream here has a nice thick consistency that stays at the top of your drink as you drink it. The flavor of the cheese cream is perfectly balanced with cream and cheese. It always compliments my jasmine tea very well. It is slightly sweetened which is why I prefer my tea to be less sweet. They even have a few snacks here like the bubble egg waffle that is super aromatic, warm, and yummy. The waffle is nice and crunchy on the outside yet super soft and bouncy on the inside. I also see some savory options like the Vietnamese style fried corn and some other yummy fried snacks like fishballs and meatballs. The staff is always friendly and helpful as always. The actual shop is a great place to study or meet up with friends. It's quite large with many seating options like tables that are near plugs as well as comfy couches. Very well decorated. There are two nice and clean restrooms for customers to use. I can sit here and study for hours. They offer wifi for their customers that was pretty fast and consistent. Bonus, the music here is such a vibe as well. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

The decor is super modern. The guy who took our order suggested the dragonfruit stormy + boba and I'm glad he did. This drink was a good mixture of fruity and creamy. The Stormy series seems to consist of a slushy milky/yogurt + whatever flavor you choose. We were soo impressed with this drink we came back the next day to try the mango version. We liked the dragon fruit version better but the mango was still good it kind of had a mango lassi vibe but less tart. Both of the times we came here the boba was perfectly made. It was around $8ish for our drink bc with the stormy series boba and toppings aren't included. So pricing is a little bit more on the higher side but you do get a larger drink. Overall I think the quality of the drink is worth it and service was friendly and quick. We will be back to try other drinks and snacks. read more
