I needed a place to do some work on my personal laptop since I'm not currently at home and it's the weekend. This place came up and I swear I've heard about it before. On the way here (after breakfast) I remembered that I *think* this was the place that was spotlighted on the news recently about employing the developmentally disabled who may not be able to work in a more traditional setting. There's tons of open space here with tables and chairs alike. They have coffee, snacks and I think light fare food. The coffee here's pretty good and I was able to get stuff done that I needed too. My only "complaint" was the plugs for computers was no where near a table and somewhat of an inconvenience. More plugs to charge would be great so I don't have to drain my battery to nothing! I was in the area and decided to try a new coffee spot. I give them an extra star for the vibes, I like the outside of the building and the inside is very spacious. When I walked in, a staff member walked toward the 'register', barely spoke when I said "hi, how are you?", and suddenly walked away before I could say my order. Another person walked up to serve me. Maybe the first person was going on break? Either way communication would have been nice. I got a mocha and almond croissant. The latter was so dry and flavorless, I tossed it at the trash can outside the building before I drove away. The mocha just wasn't good: weak coffee flavor and somewhat bitter chocolate flavor. I couldn't finish that either. Looking at the other reviews, maybe they were having a bad day? For me, mediocre experience, much better coffee shops out there. read more

Went to work while in town. They are only open 7-2 now for a variety of different coffee and craft drinks They also offer a assortment of breads and baked goods. They have a pretty decent menu. I tried the chicken pot pie and it was pretty good. I didn't look pretty on the plate, but the food was pretty good. I went early in the morning as soon as they opened I was waited on by a young man who took my order and help me choose what coffee order I wanted to try . A great place to check out if you want to meet with friends in the area for coffee or have a nice quiet bite to eat, they have plugs along the walls and a strong Wi-Fi signal definitely will visit again read more

Finally made it here after it's been on my radar for a while and it didn't disappoint. Nice large sitting area, which would be a great place to have a meeting such as a book club. They have fresh baked bread, muffins, croissants. I loved my almond croissant. My iced matcha latte was good. I was impressed that the workers came around to make sure we were doing good after we had our drinks and food. read more

Came in to use the space for a virtual meeting - super quiet with only 2 other people in the space. Greeted when I walked in and service was really fast. Cold brew with a shot of caramel was yummy. Lots of tables and little sitting areas for whatever your needs are. read more

I'm in love with this new coffee shop! Everyone here is wonderful and friendly! I got the indigo tea iced and it's this beautiful purple color with great flavor. The quiche and bacon egg cheese biscuit are very tasty and the other baked items are great! They are partnered with the rising star academy, where they get all their baked items from! Decently good coffee and lots of space to sit, I tried the lavender latte with oat milk and the lavender flavor was a bit bitter/not very sweet so I recommend adding some extra sweetener. The sign for the shop was not visible from the road, so just look for the brightly painted building with a mural on the front. read more

If you are in the Center Line area, stop by Gather and Grounds. We only had lunch, but it was excellent. The Italian sub was on a fresh sub roll with tons of Meat and cheese and plenty of toppings. The lavender lemonade is excellent as well. Will be back to try more of the menu soon! read more

The staff were very helpful and prompt. The aesthetics of the place are beautiful and the patio is amazing for small kids or if you're looking for a coffee biergarden experience. I don't usually make comments about restaurants, but I feel that I must make an exception with, "Gather + Grounds" ( 25709 Van Dyke, Centerline). The restaurant is just north of 10 mile, and it is unassuming, and you would never know what kind of place it is if you are just going by. They are part of a group called Rising Stars Foundation, and they have another building at 23855 Lawrence Ave, that has a small cafe. But this place also grows their own vegetables, raises chickens, and has a bakery. The food at the restaurant and cafe is top quality, and so are the baked goods. If you are looking for a healthy alternative in restaurants and bakeries, Rising Stars and Gather + Grounds is something that you should try. The restaurant also has a great selection of coffees and teas. The places are very clean, and the food and baked goods are top notch! Tell your friends! read more

Seems to be a newer coffee shop in the area. It's a bit hidden from the street, but if you just look for the brightly painted mural outside you can't miss it. Just had a drip coffee, which was excellent and a Almond Croissant, which was delicious. The people are extremely friendly and courteous. Love the open space, music and art on the walls. Seems to be a coffee shop with a positive message behind. This is great for larger groups or to sit and work solo. Try it out!! read more

My first visit was today. I had a delightful pour over. I wasn't looking for food, but so glad I bought some soup. The beef barley was absolutely delicious, as was the tomato basil. I was thrilled that you could get half a loaf of bread (it too, was great). Next time I will go for the Mexican Hot Chocolate, another of my favorites. Definitely worth the stop. read more

What a great place!!! The gluten free peanut butter and jelly was unexpectedly AMAZING. They grill it so it is nice and warm, soft & crunchy. My dad had the corned beef Reuben. He loved it.
