I've gotten to -go from here several times now & can't believe I haven't yet reviewed! They have a lot of Banh Mi options, I generally get the classic pork, and wow--they make a great sandwich! The French bread is so crispy & fresh, and it's quite full. Delicious! It was large enough to share, which we did. It's probably 10-12" long, and we generally want a lighter lunch. While I was waiting this time, I really checked out their pastry/desert case, and they were all gorgeous! They said they come from a local bakery. I'm not usually a desert person, but I got a slice of the Pistachio Ricotta layered cake and it was so good. Really light; thinking layers of cake and thicker layers of both of the two fillings. Perfection Open & airy, nice relaxing space in this building that was formerly Panera. I can't understand why they weren't packed with people. Get out there & support local restaurants!! On this visit, we ordered the Vietnamese coffee, pork pastry, pork bánh mì, cupcakes, and brownies. While the cupcakes and brownies were a bit underwhelming, the Vietnamese coffee, bánh mì, and pork pastry were all excellent and easily the highlights of the visit. Charge more to use CC. They have no almond milk or oat milk here, only have half and half. The chicken bahn mi is so-so, baguette is quite hard, the chicken is dry. A tad bland, it was better with some sriracha. Didn't notice any jalapeños, isn't that a standard ingredient for Bahn Mi? The shredded chicken croissant was smaller than I expected, croissant was quite soft and fell apart. The shredded chicken was dry, as it looked. It was okay, once again better with some sriracha. Sandwiches are better with more flavor. The hot Cheetos was interesting, the corn dog sheath was quite thin and didn't fully encase the dog. It was okay and a bit lack luster. We've had takeout here, and it blew me away. I had the pork banh mi, egg roll, and lemon blueberry cake. The ingredients on the bahn mi were fresh, crunchy, and delicious. If you have never had a vietnamese egg roll, these are different than Chinese takeout. They are smaller and more savory. They are pricey compared to other egg rolls, but they definitely put a lot of work into them. I'm sure they are made in store. My husband surprised me with the cake. They have a baked good counter, and the cake was amazing. It was somehow both crumbly and moist at the same time. I can't wait to try more things here! read more

Portion sizes are AMAZING for the price. The food was made to order and was very fresh. The grilled pork banh mi was marinated well, there was a lot of meat, and I liked how they provided the option to put the veggies on the side for the banh mi. The bang bang shrimp was very fresh and the sauce was flavorful. I left feeling full and was happy I came. My Vietnamese friend took a leap of faith and decided to bring me a grilled pork banh mi and a kumquat green tea. He wasn't sure if I would like it but I enjoyed both very much. The banh mi was large and cut in half so I was able to save half for later. The grilled pork was excellent. Juicy and seasoned just right. With the jalapeño peppers, mayonnaise, cucumber, pickled daikon & carrot, and cilantro nothing was too overpowering and the flavors complimented each other. The bread was soft and fresh. It didn't have that normal crunch on the outer layer that I'm used to with banh mi but it was also a carryout order so it wasn't eaten right then at the restaurant. This is a great place to eat some shareables with friends! The bahnmi is large enough to split which is nice as most places that I've had bahn mi's are quite small. The inside has a variety of seating and some board games you are able to play for free with friends. The service is very nice and quite fast. I toasted it up and their bread is amazing. It's light, airy, soft and crispy but the meat flavors were slightly strong on five spice. Their pickled carrots & daikon were mild, barely pickled. I wish they packed more jalapeños and cilantro on the side. I also tried the sandwich cold and the flavors came through better except I like the bread to be crisp. Paris Banh Mi & Bakery New. Clean. Good service. Large place. Vietnamese sandwich. Bubble tea drinks. There are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around this area. Lots of competition. I had the grilled pork and my wife had the pork rolls. Both were excellent. The item that sets this place apart is the sauce. No one has any sauce. This place is the first place that has the "Hot mayonnaise" sauce which I'm accustomed to and highly recommend. I normally buy any sandwich and put my own "hot mayonnaise" on at home. This place is doing it right. I can actually buy the sandwich and eat it without going home. FYI, my wife makes these at home, so I know how it should taste. Not bad. No issues. Meat was good. So many choices for sandwiches, bowls, appetizer, snacks, amazing dessert presentations and beverages galore. Order can be placed in person or at the kiosk. There is a clearly stated up charge on the menu board when paying by credit vs. cash. There are roomy ample seating choices whether dining alone, with a friend or small group. As mentioned in previous posts, the booth seating against the wall (closest to the restroom) NEEDS some SERIOUS cleaning . The stains need to be taken care of as it honestly looks so unsanitary. My friend and I both ordered Banh Mi #2 and had the orange sauce on the side. We agreed on how delicious and filling the ENTIRE sandwich was. She also ordered a Pina Colada smoothie and loved it. Paris Banh Mi is located right on that Troy/Madison Heights border and is across the street from Oakland Mall at the 14 Mile/John R intersection where some of the yummiest Asian food around is located! Their space is huge and can accommodate a ton of people. They have at least 6-8 TV screens on the wall showcasing all their different menus, and the ordering counter is massive! Paris Banh Mi has a little bit of everything, with their namesake banh mi and other sandwiches, bubble tea (they share the same owners with the Kung Fu Tea locations around them), corn dogs, pastries, desserts, and more! There is a lot to get from here depending on what you're in the mood for or be like me and order a little bit from each category that strikes your fancy! I got their B1. Special Combination Banh Mi, which had a little bit of every meat they offer on there with all the fixings. They give you the option of toasting and cutting your sandwich as well, which I said yes to and that was the perfect combo! This sandwich is massive, so you can totally eat half and store they other half! The filling ratio to bread was perfect, the meat to veggies ratio was perfect, and everything was just SO tasty! Highly recommend the banh mi here! I also got the C10. Ramen Corn Dog, which was also out of this world! The ramen exterior and breading is insane and matches the hot dog interior so well. The ratio, again, of breading to filling was perfect and every part of this corn dog was tasty. They use really delicious hot dogs here and I'm a huge fan! I can't wait to try the half hot dog/half cheese stick ones in the future and the different exteriors as well (potato cubes, sugar, etc.). Lastly, I snagged one of their cheesecakes from their dessert display - the green tea cheesecake. I'm eating it for breakfast now as I type and can tell you it's super good! It takes a while for the green tea flavor and cheesecake flavors to come through, so I think that would be my main critique. More obvious and stronger flavors in this cheesecake! But other than that, this is a super solid cheesecake, as someone who loves cheesecake! I could eat 10 of these and they do an incredible graham cracker crust! All in all, Paris Banh Mi is incredible and more people should be coming here! I was here in total for about half an hour finishing up a call in the parking lot, then heading inside to place my to-go order, and waiting for it to be finished before heading back out on a Monday late afternoon/evening right around dinnertime and did not see a single other customer pull up here to grab food. Paris Banh Mi in Troy is a newly opened branch of a very modern Vietnamese cafe and sandwich shop. In addition to serving Banh Mi and drinks, they also have a variety of Vietnamese snacks, meat pies, and sweets. It's very reminiscent of a Lee's Sandwiches location - in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this chain wasn't founded to be a direct competitor to Lee's. Special Combination Banh Mi ($8.21) - The banh mi here are served on more of a French type baguette, with a crusty exterior and chewy interior. I actually prefer this over more authentic banh mi places that have baguettes with crumbly exteriors that lacerate your mouth and flake off all over the place combined with dry interiors. I ordered it with extra pate and wow they really loaded it up, to the point where it was overwhelming. Next time I will get the standard amount of pate. They load up the sandwich with quite a bit of flavorful meat and pickled vegetables, enough that a sandwich could easily last two meals. I do wish they had the option of adding shredded pork skin to the sandwich. Grilled Pork Banh Mi ($8.121): I ordered this with extra cilantro and pate. The pate given was far less than the combination (perhaps this doesn't come with pate in the first place?). They gave me a noticeably larger amount of pickled vegetables rather than cilantro. The grilled pork is lightly seasoned and the pickled vegetables add a good acidity and crunch. It's a good banh mi. Milk Tea, Half Sweet w/ Boba ($7.31) - The drinks at Paris Banh Mi aren't the best. Even at half sweet, this drink was sickeningly sweet and tasted only of cream and sugar. I could not detect any tea. The boba was also quite a bit harder than I usually prefer. The drinks here cost more than the competition for much lower quality. I probably wouldn't get a drink here again. It's definitely worth getting the Banh Mi here at Paris Banh Mi. Good size, good price, and delicious to boot. Just skip the drinks. read more

Tucked away in the plaza on the north east lot of John R and 14 mile. This place has a huge dine in interior with lots of lighting and seating. Super clean with a mix of tables and couches. We came in on a Friday night and this place was very busy and a constant stream of people. At one point all the tables were taken even though there was so much seating. My husband and I both got the Banh Mi special which was huge and delicious. At $8 a sandwich I was pleased that it is equivalent size to a foot long sub. The bread was a stand out to me. Similar to French bread. I generally stress about banh mis because the bread is always too crumbly to eat and makes a giant mess but the bread here is fresh and non messy. Also tasty too. We got a lychee strawberry boba and also a Pina colada slush. The only thing I noticed and the reason for the four star is that it does seem like the staff are working through flow issues. Customers before us and after us really had to wait a very unusually long time for their orders and it seemed like there were mistakes made multiple times on orders throughout the night. Also this place seems much more like a lunch spot than a dinner spot. If they added pho or more things to their menu or more sides other than dessert or corn dogs it would feel more like a dinner spot. I definitely recommend this place for lunch. The Korean corn dog is hallf potato and half chicken. Chicken is probably the sausage that's on the inside. It's so cheesy and it's really good! It's around $5-$6. I love this place! Have never really had Vietnamese food prior to coming here but am now fully on board! My fiancé and I got the B1 and B2 and did halfsies and loved both! I came pretty close to open so I think they were still finishing everything because it did take a little while to get my order but there was a large rush of people that came in after me and their wait time was relatively shorter. I love a fresh banh mi sandwich! The baguette tasted fresh and had the perfect crisp outside and soft inside. My husband and I got the shredded chicken (with pate) and grilled pork to share. I personally liked the taste of the chicken one more but wish they had grilled chicken instead of the shredded meat. It would also be nice if they had beef as a protein option too.
