Not too bad of an ice cream shop. They have three options to choose from. You can get soft serve, hand packed, yogurt/dole whip. We got three things for under 12$ so that's not bad of pricing at all either. They have a lot of unique flavors for their hand packed ice cream. We got the Michigan pothole lol and it was actually not that bad even though potholes are bad. Also had a regular sundae and snickers flurry. It's almost spring and ice cream season again. Mr C's is back ope and even though it was a cold, rainy, and even snowy weekend, we made our way here for an after dinner treat. This place is still great. The prices are good, it cost less than a trip to Starbucks for one to get two treats for a date night. My favorite is still the Elvis sundae. This time I got it with their soft serve. Not sure if it was from their machine, but it was so thick, it was almost like scoopable ice cream. I love their variety and they have low sugar, no sugar added, for those in the house that cannot tolerate normal scoops which is why this place won in our hearts. I am hoping to get here several times this season, it is our current family go-to ice cream spot since everyone can order whereas many places only have items for three out of four of us. read more

It was a warm, humid day that was just begging for ice cream. I stopped at Mr. C's Custom Cone and decided to try it. They have many different flavors and types of ice cream, both hand-dipped and soft serve. I decided on hand-dipped peanut butter Mackinac Island. Now, I've been to quite a few ice cream places this summer, and most have been rather skimpy on the ice cream relative to what they charge. Not so at Mr. C's! The SMALL cone was nearly 3 scoops, and it was only about $2.80! (There is a sign that give a discount for cash. Not a practice I like, but I was planning to pay cash anyway, so I benefited from this.) I no longer live in Waterford (wish I'd discovered it before I moved!), but I'm sure my car will find its way there at least once more this summer. read more

Mr. Cs is known for treating their employees poorly. They show extreme favoritism toward certain employees and are blatantly rude to others. They are not polite to customers, the inside of the shop always looks unsanitary, and the place smells like poopy. read more

How is it that such a unique and cool little corner ice cream shop that serves excellent soft serve concoctions in the middle of gorgeous lake-filled Michigan has zero reviews?! Maybe it's because I passed about five others on my brief, 10 mile trip through the area. Anyways, this place is well worth your stop. An aging newspaper hangs in the window marking the day Steven Tyler of Aerosmith dropped by, which certainly enhances the charm. It seems that most - if not all - of the ice cream here is soft serve. Their specialties lie in parfaits and flurrys. I can't speak to the parfait, but the flurry is pretty damned good. Think Blizzard from DQ but more original and handcrafted, though not quite as yummy. I ordered an "Almond Joy" flurry that featured sweetened coconut flakes, almonds, vanilla ice cream and chocolate shell. I was confused as to how they were going to dip a treat created in a cup into the "magic shell" syrup that hardens when cold, but I soon realized the answer. There are bits and pieces of the hardened shell mixed throughout the treat, which I've never seen before. I bet they fill the cup halfway, add the shell, let it harden, mix it all together, and then add another layer of goodness. The only downside to the place is that the soft serve was kind of bland. If the base ice cream was richer, this place would be killer. As it is, though, it's still worth the stop, unless one of the other 10 places within 10 miles blows it out of the water. read more

We live about 10 minutes from here and we can't wait for it to open every year. Everything is delicious and very reasonably priced (100 time better than dairy queen). We love the kids that work here they are always very friendly and quick we never wait too long for our family of 5's ice cream. On a hot summer day you will wait a while in the drive through lane so you will be better off just walking up to the window.
