First off I'll start by saying that I WILL come back and try breakfast sometime. However, after hearing so many great things, my expectations were a little higher than what we experienced. Our server didn't write anything down when taking our order, repeated one meal back wrong, then came back 2 minutes later to confirm one of the four entrees again, which she didn't "memorize" correctly so I'm glad she did. We order two drinks while the other two in our party settled for water. 15 minutes later we had to ask about the beer and the soda, assuming they were forgotten. One meal still came out with the wrong choice of potatoes. Just write things down.... You're not impressing anyone by memorizing orders and getting them wrong. We split the fried pickles and jalapeños (not pictured), and they were ok. The breading wasn't as crispy as we've had at other places, but it was plenty to share among four people. The crispy chicken sandwich and JoJos were great! The $31 Smokehouse sampler, was not. Avoid this entree, all of the meat was dried out. All of it, none of the meat options were good. Baked beans from a can, but the slaw and cornbread were ok. They did offer a free dessert, since we were celebrating a birthday. This place is pretty cool. It's a bar but they also sell brunch. I had their homemade pancakes, eggs, bacon, and fully loaded hash browns. There were two pancakes and they were huge. I couldn't even finish one but they were good. I thought the fully loaded hash browns were okay to me. I should've just gotten normal hash browns but that's just my personal taste. Found this place while on a road trip. Everything was AMAZING! The place was clean and had fun decor. Lots of tv's for watching sports if that's what you're looking for. Food came out pretty fast. We got the special of the day: "Corned Beef Breakfast Fries- corned beef, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, brown gravy, pepper jack on a pile of fries + choice of eggs & toast," and the "Cowboy Brisket Skillet." Stopped by for breakfast yesterday after a few failed attempts previously. First, excellent food! I had the chicken & biscuit, which included sausage gravy, cheese, bacon, and an egg. Delicious, and enough for leftovers. Second, customer service was great. They are making the best of a bad situation, and the friendliness of the staff was appreciated. We were initially seated at a table that with chairs that weren't the correct height (I know, that sounds nitpicky, but we couldn't fit our legs under the table and had to sit sideways, not a comfortable way to have a meal.) However, when I asked staff about another table, there weren't any available, but she brought over a very comfortable office-type chair, which she said came from the video poker room that wasn't currently in use, so it was no problem. The restaurant / bar seems very well laid out for social distancing during the Covid 19 pandemic and 99 percent of folks were wearing face coverings. My friend and I opted for the out door seating where there were ceiling heaters. above us. I won't lie, it was a chilly fall afternoon and we could have dressed warmer and Definitely will next time as we follow the CDC guide lines in order to stay safe while enjoying a lunch out. Second time trying the prime rib dinner. We both had the 12oz. cut Medium. I think they boil it to a medium and then it's gray and tasteless. We each had a Moscow mule drink with dinner that was 29.99. For 2 drinks. My plate had one piece of broccoli maybe three asparagus, spears for the vegetable side and a tiny potato. I have been to Route 99 multiple times and I have not been disappointed. It has now become. A place I meet my friends at monthly. The food is always amazing, and ther service us top notch. My personal favorite meal is the Monte Cristo sandwich. It might be a little bit of a wait to get in and to get your food but it is absolutely worth it. read more

Hubby and I saw this restaurant last weekend on our way home from Mt Hood. We decided to give it a try today for breakfast. He ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast and I settled on the breakfast quesadilla. Both had a tremendous amount of food. The chicken fried steak was the thickest I've ever seen (in a restaurant or a grocery store) and was slathered with country gravy. It came with eggs, choice of potatoes and toast or biscuit. He took half of it home. For the breakfast quesadilla I chose brisket instead of pulled pork and omitted the bell peppers. It came with sour cream, guacamole and salsa and a choice of potatoes. The quesadilla was also pretty thick and I only ate 1/4 of it. It was amazing. I'm usually not a big fan of any meat at breakfast but this was definitely a good choice. We both had coffee and that was perfect as well, bold and not bitter. In my opinion, the quality of the coffee can make or break a place; this place passed that test with flying colors. We are both looking forward to returning for lunch or dinner and trying something in the bar Our server was very attentive and sweet. All in all, we enjoyed our visit! Two thumbs up! read more

A great place out in the 'country'. 8 of us had been out to visit a nursery in the area, Sebright. The staff there recommended Route 99. Very friendly staff who knew the menu and made recommendations on "sides" combinations with meal ordered. ALL of us had a variety of sandwiches, burgers and salads no one was disappointed! I have eaten here three times now in the past several months. And even though the jojo's are excellent today when we asked why no one was wearing masks the reply we got was, "we don't have to wear them here." We are still deep into a worldwide pandemic and I will no longer be going to this restaurant. I value businesses that care about public health overall and the health of their workers and customers. If they can't follow this guideline what else aren't they following? Jojo's aren't worth that. read more
