We stopped by Route 99 on our way to California. The parking lot is conveniently located around the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, the staff warmly greeted us and guided us to our table. It was a bit cold inside, so I kept my jacket on. My husband and I decided to share the Smoked Cheddar Burger and ordered a cup of chowder soup. When we mentioned that we would be sharing, our waitress kindly split the burger into two portions for us, which was a very thoughtful touch. The burger was flavorful and satisfying, and the chowder was comforting and delicious. Overall, it was a pleasant stop with friendly service--perfect for a break during a long drive.

We've been raving about this spot all night! We stopped in for the first time to grab some drinks after work. As we saw the food come out of the kitchen- we couldn't help but make an order. We got the brisket chili & the spinach dip to start and MAAAAAAAAAAAN. The epitome of my dream spinach dip. Food was so incredible that we ordered 2 entrees to-go. Terrianne (and truly the whole service staff) made our entire experience. That woman truly made us want to come back again and again. If you're contemplating visiting- DO IT!

I finally got to try this place! I've heard many good things. I was there around 7:30am, and the smallish parking lot already had about 5-10 cars. Service was super friendly and the ambiance country chic. They offer early bird specials before 8am that were slightly smaller portions, but with substantial savings. I was hungry, so I stuck with the regular menu. I went with the Country Benedict, which consisted of a large biscuit, split, each side topped with a sausage patty and a poached egg, all covered with country gravy. I selected country potatoes as my side. Everything was delicious! The sausage patties were flavorful and the eggs nicely poached. The gravy was well-seasoned and peppery. The potatoes were tasty and perfectly cooked, with a nice seasoning mix that was assertive but not overpowering. I ate most of my meal, and the waitress kindly offered me a refill for my beverage (a Starry) for the road. Great service and great food, I will be back. As a burger and sandwich aficionado, their lunch offerings are tempting!

Really friendly staff. And friendly bar tender. Caesar salad came with onions, which I never had seen before. When I asked the server, she immediately took it back and brought one without onions! Excellent attitude. Salad was delicious. Friend had clam chowder which reportedly was amazing. Restaurant has a neighborhood vibe. Service is sporadic. It was impossible to catch someone's attention after the initial order however.

Was as good as ever last night just for armadillo eggs and they were awesome I know they are a pain to make but should be a menu item

Came here before we hit the road for brunch. Was quickly seated. One of us ordered a burger, can't remember the name of it, another ordered a Benedict of some sort, I ordered a Taco Salad. Food came out quickly. The burger was huge, but wasn't juicy. The sausage on the Benedict was pretty dense. I wish I would have went with the Seafood Salad instead of the Taco Salad. Taco Salad wasn't bad, but just didn't hit the spot. Overall, it wasn't bad...would probably just try something different next time. The prices are a little high. Looks like a cool little spot with a good size bar, Keno, and an interesting cocktail menu. We are from out of the area, so was just stopping through.

We stopped in after the peony farm, and it was ok. I definitely had higher expectations after reading reviews. I got the dip and the meat was dry and there just wasn't much of it. The service was fantastic. Everyone there was so nice and attentive. It was pretty busy, and everything still came out in a timely fashion. The restaurant was well lit and country decor. Overall, I may go back and try something different when in the area next year.

My sister and I ate on the patio on a cool Saturday. It's cute and rustic. Quite a few flies so I did see our server actually hand out fly swatters, which I've never seen at a restaurant. I had the Fried Chicken (filet) breakfast with gravy, 2 eggs, potato pancake and a biscuit. The meal was good, not great. I wasn't impressed with the potato pancake so I won't order that again. Our server was very friendly and the experience, overall, was good.

We decided to go to route 99 because we heard it was the owners of Annette's. We went in with high hopes because we loved Annette's. I loved the decor inside. Very chic farm style and very inviting. The service was good. We went right before rush hour. But after bagging our Togo, no one gave us our check and about 10 mins after our table was cleared we went to the front and paid, they said the waitress forgot to give us our check at our table. As for the food, we found it a bit pricey, $20 for a burger and $20 for a brisket dip. The food was good but I couldn't eat my burger because the patties were so thick, and everything fell apart and was to thick. The "spicy" slaw was not spicy in the least- and I'm a baby. The "horsey" sauce which was horseradish was not spicy either. In all we were very disappointed. We do not think we will be going back due to their prices and food flavors.

My in-laws have raved about Route 99 since discovering it about a year ago. They highly recommended we check it out. They told us it has the same owner, Annette, from the former, Annette's Westgate Cafe in West Salem. My wife has fond memories of Annette's from when she lived in Salem and always enjoyed going with family and friends. We knew we would be driving nearby on our travels up/down I-5 between Portland and Eugene, so we had to stop in and check it out. We arrived about noon on a Monday afternoon. The parking lot was fairly busy, we parked and headed in. We were immediately greeted by someone and took a quick look at the specials menu before being taken to a table and provided menus. The menu consists of soup, salads, sandwiches, burgers, omelets and scrambles, morning favorites and sweet stuff. My wife immediately decided on the Cowboy (smoked brisket, tomatoes, and bell peppers, topped with cheddar and pepper jack, BBQ sauce, onion straws and green onions, served with breakfast potatoes and toast or biscuit). She opted to order it without the cheese or BBQ sauce. I chose the Smoked Cheddar Burger (2 burger patties with smoked cheddar and thick cut bacon on a grilled brioche bun with chipotle aioli, spicy slaw, pickles and tomatoes). I ordered it without the the chipotle aioli, spicy slaw, pickles and tomatoes. We were seated in the front dining area and we could tell the building was larger so I decided to walk around a bit. I couldn't believe how much bigger it was! There were many more booths and tables and a full bar area with counter seating. The interior is tastefully decorated and clean and the entire building looks well taken care of. Our food arrived and looked delicious! We dug in and enjoyed each and every bite. Our server stopped in and we chatted with her a bit about my wife's experiences years ago at Annette's. This is a must stop if you are traveling near the area! We visit Oregon twice a year and want to make this a regular stop. Delicious!

My husband and I stopped for brunch. We both had the specials. They were amazing! The drinks were great. The service was amazing! I used to come to Come here when it was Iggy's. When I was a child my Mom performed live music when it was the Western Gentry. This place brings back so many fond memories!!! The decor is amazing as well. I love going here.

    Covered patio

Food was amazing, staff is super friendly and accommodating! Passed by on our way back to California with our dog and they allowed our dog on their warm covered patio! Definitely recommend this spot to everyone!

Brick Walls, Thick-Cut Bacon & One Seriously Good Brunch…read more We stumbled into LOAM on a Sunday morning while exploring wine country and quickly realized we had found one of those places locals try to keep to themselves. By the time our food hit the table the restaurant was packed, and honestly, after one bite it was easy to understand why. The space itself sets the tone: exposed red brick, an old historic bar, fresh flowers on the tables, and a cozy Pacific Northwest farmhouse vibe that somehow feels both elevated and relaxed at the same time. What really stood out was the attention to detail and the obvious pride coming from the kitchen. My farmhouse breakfast was outstanding, crispy potatoes with that perfect golden crunch, thick house bacon that was nearly half an inch thick, rich eggs cooked perfectly, and flavors that felt comforting without being heavy. My son-in-law ordered the salmon toast and it was beautiful to look at and even better to eat, silky salmon layered over fresh greens and toast with bright fresh flavors that tasted incredibly clean and balanced. My wife and daughter split the harbor hash which disappeared fast, savory, hearty, and packed with slow-cooked flavor in every bite. The drinks and extras sealed the deal. The Bloody Mary came loaded with pickled vegetables and a beef stick that felt very Pacific Northwest brunch in the best possible way, while the French press coffee was smooth, bold, and exactly what you want on a cool Oregon morning. We also shared the French toast with whipped butter and it was melt-in-your-mouth soft with crispy caramelized edges that tasted like comfort food done by people who really know what they are doing. Friendly staff, fair prices, beautiful presentation, and a kitchen committed to house-made food and local ingredients. LOAM is the kind of brunch spot that makes you slow down, stay awhile, and already start planning your next visit before you leave.

We had a 10:45 reservation but ended up waiting outside on the sidewalk for over 40 minutes. We got a couple of "it'll be soon" updates and one offer to sit at a picnic table on the sidewalk. That wasn't an option for my husband's back. And, by that point, it felt like we'd already had the full sidewalk experience! To add to the frustration, we watched a table that would have fit our party turn over and be given to a group that had arrived well after us. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our daughter has celiac disease, and after talking through options with our server, she ordered a modified breakfast plate. When it arrived, it had two slices of (gluten-full) toast placed right in the middle. We asked for a remake. While we were waiting someone came over to tell us (firmly) that the kitchen isn't dedicated gluten-free. We fully get that, but that's different from putting bread on top of everything on the plate, especially after we'd already discussed the restriction. As I was saying that, the staff member walked away. The interaction felt more like a lecture than the apology that would've been appropriate. The food overall was okay, but not memorable. My husband said the "special" Bloody Mary was the worst he's ever had--memorable, just not in a good way. On the positive side, the gluten-free coffee cake was excellent, and thankfully the company made the day worthwhile. My guess is there may have been an issue with our reservation. We made it in person previously and it was written in a notebook. When we called to confirm the day before, they initially couldn't find it. It felt like it might not have made it into the system, and they were trying to accommodate on the fly once they realized it. If that's the case, a little transparency upfront would have gone a long way--we would have appreciated the option to adjust our plans rather than end up waiting outside for so long. Overall, this felt like a series of misses and mishandled opportunities to improve the experience. It's also an excellent reminder of why I normally steer clear of dining out on holidays.

Parking was a nightmare and the waitlist was thriving at 25 minutes long, but it was Sunday so I understood. We put our name on the list and waited outside in the cold next to the heater that wasn't emitting any heat. Our name was called after twenty minutes and we were sat next to the door (not my fave) at a large table. A couple was sat at the same time as us at the other end. We both got our menus at the same time. But long story short: by the time they were done with their meal, check on the table and everything, we had finally received ours. It was very annoying given that we were sat at the exact same time. The cinnamon roll was lackluster. All of the lovely frosting that you hope for/expect was melted into a flavorless grease. The corned beef hash was a strange consistency being made with shredded hash instead of traditional cubed potato but that was their choice and it's not the best. The French toast on the kids menu did not mention that it was crusted in cornflakes and I think if it weren't for the fact that my daughter was so hungry, she wouldn't have ate them. They were what you expect: crunchy French toast bites. Our server never returned after dropping off the food, only at the end to clear plates and give the check. It was a disappointing experience and even more disappointing that we had to tip on that kind of service because we're those kind of people. Clearly he didn't deserve it. The encounter legitimately set a really grim tone for the rest of the day.

Well the food was hands down the worst food I've ordered at a restaurant ever. Me and my husband ordered chicken fried steak loaded hash browns and eggs over medium. Let's start with the eggs mine were cold so closer to over easy and snot. Now my hash browns were half the size of my husbands poor hash browns which I thought oh well I'm not a big eater. However these hash browns were old soggy and burnt awful potatoes Now the chicken fried steak was gross! I've had chicken fried steak that was bad but this was soggy and had no taste at all. The tiny bit of gravy on top was sad and looked horrible. but wait I was again ok with it because at least there was not much to try to eat because the gravy was disgusting weirdly colored and obviously old. Now the biscuit please throw them away! obviously they were old stale and nasty. This food was so bad I'm sure my dog would not have even eaten it and he's a lab he eats anything. My friends at our table ordered the fish and chips and omelette it was really sad that frozen fish and chips could be this bad. Personally I think the people that own this restaurant should try a different adventure. There are so many options and opportunities for other food establishments to earn the amount of money spent on this meal all together we paid well over 100 for the worst food I've ever consumed. Please consider before consuming this foul food and no I did not complain and I even tipped mostly out of pity for the staff that seemed to obviously be working in this industry.
