Hidden Gem! Stopped here after hiking the falls and we were looking for a dog friendly spot for our pups. We could never have imagined a more perfect experience. The patio is a tranquil oasis with immaculate landscaping and a beautiful water feature. The food and drink exceeded our expectations. I had the blackened salmon Caesar and my husband had the catfish. When I tell you that the fish was prepared to perfection, I am not being generous enough. Omg, it was E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!! My friend and I have been trying to coordinate a time together when we could visit this place and the time finally came when we could both make it, so we met up for dinner. The evening was perfect - not too hot and not too cold so of course, we sat at a table in the charming outside patio area. I so wanted to like this place a lot. The location, the outdoor patio, the menu - so many things to love. However, ti wasn't to be. Our server did the best she could to take care of all the tables in the patio (she's the reason this is a 3-star review and not a 1- or 2-star) but our food left a lot to be desired: I ordered a taco salad with guacamole but it arrived without the guac. The included salsa was almost completely made up of chipped onions, the fried tortilla shell was soggy and limp, the salad itself was a bit plain and dry without a real salsa garnish. My friend ordered the Asian chicken salad with grilled chicken but it arrived with the chicken battered and deep fried. The onion rings we ordered were less than stellar - soggy with batter falling off the onions, and a weird-tasting mayo-based dipping sauce. We decided that, if we ever go back again, we'll just stick with a burger. read more

As a local Silverton resident, I loooooove the Milltown pub for many reasons. First, they appreciate my business and are happy to serve me. AND I am hooked on the Spicy crispy chicken wrap. AND its 9 bucks! AND the patio garden area makes me feel like I am on vacation ahhh. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich......worst sandwich ever! The chicken was barely warm and so tough I could not eat it. Tasted like it had been left under a heat lamp for hours. The bun was soggy from the Buffalo sauce, 2 tiny pieces of wilted romaine, a half slice of the thinest tomato ever and one onion ring on top that was probably under the same heat lamp as the chicken! The reason for the 3 stars is that the bartender was a sweetheart and knocked off 1/2 of the price. It's a Pub so if sitting inside expect loud patrons hoping for a big win on the machines.......lesson learned, not a place I will go back to. read more

Awesome environment with a patio and a wonderful feel. The server was very upbeat and pleasant. I felt like she wanted to be there. The bathroom wasn't unclean but the paper towels were overflowing from the rather large trash can suggesting it hadn't been checked that shift and the patrons are generally clean types. I can't say the fries were hot although they might have been. I don't start eating until everyone has been served and my iPhone reported i got my meal a little more than 9 minutes before the next meal came out followed by the last delivery of the appetizers. At a restaurant like a hospital the whole point of the business is the deliver of a product and reasons like "short" staffing is about as meaningful as, well, it's irrelevant unless you want to make money. They comped the appetizers as they should have, but I still paid for my cold meal. The burger was good and I'll go back because I really want to like this place. read more

We came into mill town pub after a long hike this morning. We checked in with the bartender as we were sitting in the kid friendly side. We waited 31 minutes.....no menus, no waitress, nothing. Went there last time we were in town after a hike, and loved it. But we were in the bar. This time we go with a kid, and stop in to tell the bartender we were in the restaurant side. Sit for 25 minutes with no acknowledgement. Not a single word from her. Finally we left. If you go here, don't take a kid. Not kid friendly. Ill start with the decorations, because it was incredible. Beautiful outside water feature, covered with plants, and overall just great ambience. The servers were very kind and helpful, and our food took less than 10 minutes to arrive. everyone else at the table thought the food was amazing, along with me. The price was very reasonable, costing $77 for our party of 8. the food was delicious, I had the southwest burger and the mozzarella sticks. We found this place a few years ago when we got passports from Habitat for Humanity (The House That Beer Built) it's just a regular bar with an awesome garden back yard. We took my sister-in-law here for a birthday dinner. She is vegetarian and I'm a carnivore. She was skeptical but was soon won over by the variety of choices on the menu. We all very happy with our meals. Our server, Sam, who is also the bartender, gave us excellent service, including menu selection and beer advice. I can't really rate this place for food because we walked in to an empty restaurant, hung out, finally somebody wandered in and sat us, and they did bring us drinks.. but we were really hungry from a day of going to the tulip festival and stuff, and they never came back to our table! We specifically chose the place for their vegan options, although looking at the filthy (and misspelled) menu and the employee's children running all around the place, I was actually kind of happy we had to leave without eating. I really wanted to like this place, but I would absolutely never go back. So we were a bit skeptical about Mill Town Pub, but there was a Groupon and it was a good deal. The husband and I had also both heard it had gone downhill over the years but decided to give it a try. We were VERY pleasantly surprised! The patio is a hidden gem with a water feature and lots of pretty flowers, the food was excellent, as well as the service. The interior of the restaurant could use some updating, but we loved sitting out on the patio. So, was it a one time fluke? Nope. Got another Groupon and gave it a second try. Excellent again! Dawnie was a very attentive server (even while manning the bar inside), the food was again very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. In the two visits we've tried burgers, sandwiches, quesadilla and the rice bowl. They also have vegetarian options, so that's a plus. We'll be back! read more

Stopped on our way home, driving through Silverton. I ordered fish and chips and they were excellent. Fresh fish, hand breaded and cooked perfectly. The homemade tartar sauce with fresh dill was among the best I have ever tasted. Wonderful garden and water feature on the patio. read more

Unfortunately it was a very disappointing end to a fun day at the gardens. The hamburger patty was overcooked, the bun was extremely dry, stale and 4 times the size of the patty. The lettuce leaf was beyond wilted and the tomatoes were sliced thin as paper. Not in a hurry to come back. P.S. the waitress was very nice but didn't ask what kind of cheese we wanted on our cheese burgers. Fries were delish! read more

We were so excited to find a place that served vegan food that was more than just a standard stir fry - the menu seemed extensive - not necessarily super healthy, but fun pub-type food for vegans and vegetarians (chicken-fried tempeh w/ gravy!) - We got there at around 1pm on a Sunday - it wasn't packed, a total of seven other diners, we made nine. The waitress was very nice and got our order promptly, brought our drinks . . . and that was the last time we saw her. 30 minutes go by and we haven't been served anything. 35 minutes go by and another woman comes out and lets us know that they don't have any mashed potatoes or gravy - which was the side dish that went with the chicken-friend tempeh and pretty much blew the fun of that dish. That was a drag, but what was worse about it was that it turns out that our original waitress turned out to also be the cook - why she didn't tell us when we ordered that she didn't have mashed potatoes or gravy is beyond me. And, as a former restaurant cook, I'm also puzzled as to why she didn't just put on some potatoes to boil - in 35 minutes she could've made mashed potatoes and gravy -- we tell the new waitress that yes, fries will be fine and another 20 minutes later we get our food. Nearly an hour of waiting for truly mediocre food. We live in Molalla and were excited to find a new restaurant to go to in Silverton - but we won't be back to this one. read more

Came here the other day with my family. The atmosphere of the resteraunt/bar is about what you would expect. Nothing special, it's older and well used. The table though didn't look like it had been washed in a few days of use. There were rings on the table that were sticky from other people's drinks from sitting on it. The top of the salt/pepper shakers were dirty and the same with the napkin holders. But what really shined was the food. We all got burgers and they were all very good. Nice soft fresh buns, excellent fries and the burgers were cooked to perfection and juicy and dripping with cheese. Our server was very nice and attentive to our needs. My wife and I have been talking about going to Milltown Pub for a while as she is vegan and they have actual vegan options. Seeing that they had a deal on groupon I couldn't pass up on how good of an offer it was. Upon walking in the place was empty and we were thinking they might have been closed but we sat playing with our daughter until a middle aged woman came out and sat us down. She immediately gave us menus and took our drink order and even brought out a small glass of oj for my daughter. The food arrived very quickly and was VERY GOOD to say the least. First impression was not that good as we walked into an empty restaurant with no greeter. There was a bar area, but we wanted a family dinner. Walked around and found someone adding up checks and they did not immediately ask us if we wanted to be seated and seemed more like a souvenir shop attendee rather than a restaurant host. Despite the first impression, they were very helpful and they offered vegitarian/vegan menu options for several of their regular menu item. (Very important when switching to alkaline diet to fight stage four cancer). We had the chipotle veggie burger, spinach salad, vegan quesadilla (made with avocado instead of cheese) and their chicken fried tempah with quinoa instead of potatoes. After ordering, the food came out pretty quick and tasted quite good. It is a nice introduction to meat alternatives. There was also an acoustic guitar player who was making rounds and was quite good. He played several songs from the 50s that my parents thoroughly enjoyed. In the end i would recommend this place for their vegetarian alternative menu. not the normal salad and veggieburger. read more

I got their black bean burger. It was placed on a generic bun from the grocery store and the patty tasted like soap. Like the cheap hand-soap they use at cheap restaurants. It was really gross. I really wanted somewhere good to eat in town, but it ain't gonna be here. If you're looking for somewhere decent and vegetarian in Silverton try one of the Thai restaurants downtown. read more
