So many 1 star ratings. I wish I would've checked Yelp before going to check out the Steak Frites special they posted on FB! We entered to an empty restaurant, well one guy was at another table. We ordered, and the server said lots of people were asking about the special. I was told they were out of Chimichurri sauce, but could make it otherwise. Daughter ordered a cheeseburger and salad, and we were going to trade sides. Server then came back and said they couldn't make it and I'd need to order something else. Disappointed, I decided upon the Chicken Parmesan. Server brought out the salad and a dinner roll. The entrees followed shortly. Daughter was brought a salad and fries. My entree was also served with fries that I didn't request and the chicken was smothered in 'spaghetti sauce' and mozzarella. I took a bite and the sauce was disgusting. It seemed old or burnt. I couldn't eat it and knew they were closing, so when asked how things were, our server was nice and took it away but came back with it on the bill. I said we would not be paying for a bad meal I hadn't eaten. The 'manager' (not manager) come out and say he couldn't give it to me for free and needed an explanation, so I repeated what I'd already told server - that it was inedible and they could taste it if they needed to (I'd taken one bite). I never asked for a free meal and had already said we'd pay for the salad and roll that I'd eaten. Both the manager and server knew it was our first visit. When a carryout box was brought for my daughter, 'manager' said "If you take the fries I'm going to have to charge you for them. The fries were her side, but she told him go ahead and add them to the bill, as we weren't trying to get anything for free, only a decent meal. He came back with the bill and changed his tune saying he hoped we would come back and try their breakfast. He also asked if we would like pie for the trouble. Daughter encouraged me to accept the pie, but, mind you, the damage was done. First impression & customer service = Fail. Even still, a $10 tip was left on the $15 bill, as it was no fault of the server. I see why the place was empty and definitely won't go back!

We walked into the bar, the bartender said pick any table. Levi was our server he got us started right away with a beer. I got a half order of the CFS delicious crispy & tender served with brown gravy and mashed potatoes with veg. My wife had the hand breaded chicken sandwich. It came with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and most importantly..toasted bun. Chicken was cooked through, juicy and delicious.

Food: a ton of food for the price. The Cabo taco omelette is unbelievable... super delicious. The service was perfect... fast and efficient. Inside is super cool with all kinds of license plates to look at and memorabilia. Highly recommend

This place has been around awhile and knows how to do food! Truck-stop size portions guarantee you won't walk away hungry and it is well worth the cost. The coffee is ok, nothing special. To me it has kind of a dark and grungy feel but that won't stop me from going back. I'm sure it is a byproduct of its age. Service was not bad but not great. If I come for breakfast I don't want to have to look for coffee. There were only four tables with guests when I was there so not sure where the server disappeared too. This day we had the Chicken Fried steak (you get 2-steak Patties) and German Sausage (2 full-size sausages) breakfasts

My husband had been wanting to take me here for awhile, he loves the food. We were seated immediately, the servers were very nice but it was pretty dark on the inside. The light hanging above our table had been broken and taped back together, I thought that was odd. Our food arrived pretty quickly, I ordered a country scramble, with spinach, onion, ground beef and cheese and hash browns and toast. It was ok, the portions were huge. In my opinion it looked like they used a huge portion of spinach, and it definitely didn't seem fresh, it looked and tasted like chopped frozen spinach. All the cheese on top melted in this weird ball that was pretty hard to cut to separate it. I asked for crispy hash browns, they weren't. My husband ordered a meatloaf omelet, it had brown gravy on top, it also came with hash browns and toast. He loved it, it's his favorite menu item. Overall it was ok, I'm glad my husband and his friends have a place they enjoy coming too.

I've gone to blondzees for years. With that being said what brings me back is the lounge area. It's got awesome leather old school booths, a nice big fireplace. I mean it's pretty cozy in there on a nice winter day. Drinks are proper. Now as far as the food goes. Well it's definitely just ok. I don't think anything is scratch made. But don't expect a homemade gravy or hollandaise sauce. If you're hungry it will definitely fill you up. Portion sizes are great. I don't mean to make it sound like there food is horrible it's just there is much better tasting places out there for breakfast. Like I said I've be been coming here for years and will be back again. If you haven't tried it go give it a go. Make sure you eat in the lounge area. You have to be 21+

Covid-19 visit. So I'm from Milwaukie but traveled to see a friend. We chose the place. Friend it was similar to Black Bear Diner. The restaurant wasn't super full. We had a party of 5 (1 was a kiddo) Our server was new but she sure did try hard! I felt really bad for the women working because the one waitress had said they had a whole new team in the kitchen. Our wait time was a little long but the food didn't disappoint! Our party had 2 Chicken Fried Steam meals which they were good, kids chicken nuggets, adult chicken strips and then the other got Parmesan chicken... they have really good dinner rolls. Homemade ranch dressing (that's important) Overall it was worth the wait. Again, these were women who were hard working & I felt for them. I left them a decent sized tip. With Covid being here I imagine there are a lot of places trying have staff and also remain safe. They also have a classic car out front and there were a few in the parking lot. This place I would return to! & they also have a pretty big menu. Breakfast is served all day.

The bar where everyone knows your name. Like Cheers. Same chicken fried steak recipe for decades. Old school comfort food.

French Toast definitely hits the crunch and sweetness I was looking for. The Owner Rob, stopped by and greated us while we were here. It's the little things that mean the most.

Parking was a nightmare and the waitlist was thriving at 25 minutes long, but it was Sunday so I understood. We put our name on the list and waited outside in the cold next to the heater that wasn't emitting any heat. Our name was called after twenty minutes and we were sat next to the door (not my fave) at a large table. A couple was sat at the same time as us at the other end. We both got our menus at the same time. But long story short: by the time they were done with their meal, check on the table and everything, we had finally received ours. It was very annoying given that we were sat at the exact same time. The cinnamon roll was lackluster. All of the lovely frosting that you hope for/expect was melted into a flavorless grease. The corned beef hash was a strange consistency being made with shredded hash instead of traditional cubed potato but that was their choice and it's not the best. The French toast on the kids menu did not mention that it was crusted in cornflakes and I think if it weren't for the fact that my daughter was so hungry, she wouldn't have ate them. They were what you expect: crunchy French toast bites. Our server never returned after dropping off the food, only at the end to clear plates and give the check. It was a disappointing experience and even more disappointing that we had to tip on that kind of service because we're those kind of people. Clearly he didn't deserve it. The encounter legitimately set a really grim tone for the rest of the day.
