Been coming here to get pizza for the past couple years, had a horrible experience with the person operating the phone taking orders. The operator was extremely rude for no reason, and continuously cut me off in the middle of talking to tell me that none of the coupons I had worked and that I would have to make an online order. He even refused my request to speak to his manager when I tried to escalate the situation to higher management. Tell me you hate your job without telling me you hate your job. We called in to let them know they sent us a pizza that was almost inedible and the manager told us there's nothing he can do because their ovens are "fine, "no one else has complained today" and that we should throw it in the oven. I do like Round Table pizzas, they have a good balance of crust & toppings, better than most other pizza chains. This location delivers just what you should expect from Round Table. But the place is small with only a few uninviting tables. I have eaten onsite once and felt pretty miserable through my meal. Order for takeout only. Now, one little story: While the staff is overall nice enough and efficient, I do think that at least one employee is lacking basic training. I used to come here all the time about 6 months ago for the lunch special and the young manager girl was great and now when I go its always someone new and they never make my food the way I like it. If I could have gotten my pizza from the Walnut Creek location, I would have. We accidentally ordered or pizza from this location instead of where we should have and we had to call back and cancel the order. Though the person on the phone was a little frustrated, he thanked me for calling back and giving them free food to eat. This is much better customer service, then the poor and terrible service we received at the Benicia location. Worst pizza I've ever had. Delivered in more than 75 minutes. Rancid mushrooms, way over salty, sour tomato sauce. Unbelievable.

TL:DR: Waited inside for 20 min when pizza was supposed to be ready; unsanitary preparation; staff made excuses when confronted about skimping ingredient. Just go to the other store on Treat and save yourself the hassle. Ordered at 6:40, they told me pizza would be ready in 25-30 min which is normal. Showed up at 7:05 and the guy was mumbling something about being busy, told me "there are 3 pizzas in front of you", I was like "what does that mean? OHHHH, are you saying my pizza is not even made?" He didn't have the guts to tell me and I have to stand there staring at him while trying to figure out where is my pizza. I showed up already so I decided to just wait for it because he told me he will make it right now and will take 7-10 min. This actually took another 20 min. There were 3 people making 3 pizza, text book incompetency. While I was waiting, I observed that staff were grabbing ingredients out of the bins without gloves which is no big deal for me. But the only one guy that mans the cashier station was switching back and forth between making pizza and taking money from people paying. Will consider notifying the City. I took home the pizza and ate it anyway 'cause hungry. Lastly, when my pizza was finally ready, I opened the box to check and notice there are only about 10 pieces of mini pepperoni on a large pizza which seems a lot less than normal. I confronted the staff and he said "oh no, we weigh all the ingredients, we don't just dump stuff on the pizza or else that's wasting the owner's money." That's the most blatant lie as I watched them just grab stuff out of the bins with no weighing as he claimed; AND he offered free wings/twists to others who waited a lot longer and that's not wasting owner's money??? Wow, either there was a change in management or they just stepped up the game but this place has done a complete turn around. This is my children's favorite pizza place but after so many errors it hard to justify the money spent on pizza get could eat. But I ordered it after major demands and it was a great experience, I got the exact order I placed, in the time I was quoted! Yes! So I proceeded to order 2 more times and was so happy to report that this place is now back in our regular routine. I was sick one afternoon and craving pizza. I didn't want to try some new pizza place so I called round table. They have a distinct pizza flavor that I like, and despite being overpriced, I went with it. First, I called and they had a special going on. A large 1 topping pizza for $10, $15 for a large specialty pizza. I ordered one large pizza and an appetizer, and they told me 40 min for delivery. When you are fed up with other pizza places in town, you can always count on Round Table. Very consistent and quick pizza. Unfortunately this isn't a dine-in location, but it's always good for pick-up (they deliver of course but I always just go pick it up). This location has been a go to for the last year and a half or so for my girlfriend and I when we have a spur of the moment pizza craving. The service over the phone is always very friendly and the quality of the food has always been great. The salads have been looking fresh and pizza and wings arrive hot! Even during Covid-19 times, we still love ordering from this location. I'm honestly really happy to see that the delivery driver Paul has had nothing but positive reviews even years ago. He gives you text updates to let you know the ETA and also upon his arrival. He is nothing but kind and wears mask and gloves upon delivery and offers you the whole 9 yards...peppers and cheese, paper plates, napkins, extra dipping sauce if available. Always great to interact with someone who is genuinely putting heart into their job, no matter what it is. Even if their was a closer location, I'd still order from this one mostly in part to Paul, he is always deserving of a great tip! read more

Love Round Table, but won't use this location again. Last two orders had under cooked items. Went to pick up one of the orders and waited almost 30 min past the time they said to come pick up. It appeared that they had forgotten to make the wings and breadsticks, which both ended up being below normal Round Table expectations. Breadsticks were underdone and doughy. Wings were soggy instead of their normal crispy. Will be using Oak Grove/Treat from now on. read more

When it comes to takeout pizzia It doesn't get much better than this......This is the only Round Table I will go to. I've had bad experience with the R.Table in Concord but the WC--N.Broadway location is terrific. The manager (Abby) is top flight, no matter what she always has a smile on her face, and more importantly she always makes sure I'm taken care of, regardless if it was something I forgot to mention or an error on my part. All-in-all the service is always on time, and pizza (taste, texture, quality) is always consistent. I'm surprised to see this place has any ratings lower than 5 stars. I've lived in Walnut Creek for 6 years and this has always been my go to place for pizza. The pizza is delicious as well as the salad. The ingredients always seem very fresh! And the customer service there is always amazing! The staff is always so friendly and kind when I put in an order. Double and triple checking that they have all the info correct. And the delivery driver is incredible! This guy deserves a raise!! He delivered to me once and remember me months later! He always texts me with his eta, gives you everything you could need and more. Plates, napkins, cheese, pepper, ranch! The pizza is great but the staff make this place even better! Had an awful experience here, will never patronize again. I decided to try online ordering, having found an alleged coupon for first online order that magically didn't work when I checked out. But that was not the main problem - the fact that my pizzas were more than 30 minutes late was the problem, and the service and communication were terrible! I placed my order online at 6:23, was told the two pizzas would be ready for pickup 15 minutes later, at 6:38. I had several hungry boys waiting at home, and didn't even actually get there until about 6:50. I paid for my pizzas, which I assumed were long-ready - and the girl walked away without a word. Several minutes later she walked up to me and asked if I had ordered a King Arthur (?!?) The whole restaurant was in disarray, clearly no one was in control. One guy was on the phone, never acknowledging people as they walked in. Several other customers had clearly been waiting a long time as well. No one said anything to any of us to keep us informed. Some folks' pizzas hadn't even gone in the oven! I asked again what was up with my order around 7:05, and was told mine were in the oven (clearly they'd been made after I arrived). Finally, at about 7:15 - well over half an hour late - my pizzas were ready. At home, my poor wife was dealing with frantic hungry boys. Overall, a terrible experience. Their pizzas may be "honest," but the service is far from it. They should consider hiring an actual manager and teach the employees some communication skills. They seemed more focused on the pizzas going out for delivery (hmm, wonder why - maybe because tips are at stake?) than those for people in the store. We just picked up a pie for lunch today and I have to say, I've never had pizza from roundtable that was this mediocre. It seriously reminds me of the old days with Domino's. The crust was hard as a rock, there was WAY too much sauce, not nearly enough cheese, and it looks like the economy took a bite out of their toppings - I only got one slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza. I split a medium with one of my co-workers so I got to pay $9 for this lovely experience. I'm typically a big Roundtable fan, but this was awful! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT. I think checking the dates on these reviews is something you might want to do before judging this location. I for one am here just about three times a month, THAT IS ALMOST ONCE A WEEK and have NEVER dealt with the types of issues that the other customers are noting. Has me wondering if they meant to place their review on a different location... especially when they are reviewing a pizza place in Walnut Creek "delivering" them a soggy pizza all the way in Emeryville? Seems like there is a mistake there. Anyhows, I have never waited more than the time they have stated for my meal, and even if I had it would never be an issue considering the SPECTACULAR service I am given every single time I come in or even call in a delivery; like another yelper had mentioned they got a new manager sometime late last year (2016) and the entire place changed for the better. Not only is it cleaners than ever before but the employees seem to be much happier, I can tell by the way the act while "at work". I know making pizzas should not be stressful to begin with, but I always feel better eating somewhere where you can tell the staff is taken care of and happy to work for. To make a long review even longer, I just want to reiterate that this location has never been better and I inclined to believe that is the effect of new management. At $35 for a 3 item pizza, there is no reason to go to Round Table anymore. They used to have decent coupons in the paper or mailers, not anymore. So we pay full price, and the cheese isn't to the end of the crust, and at that price, it should have been stacked with all three items. We could've gone to Tulio's , sorrentos, Skippolini's, Zach's - any of those fancy places would've been bigger, heavier, cheesier, delicious and less expensive. This round table came through! Pizza got here within the promised time and was HOT! The delivery driver was super friendly and made sure we had all the stuff needed to enjoy the pizza and wings. We were a little taken back by the price at first but you really get what you pay for. We could have saved $7 bucks and went to dominoes and got half the toppings and a cold pizza but this was money well spent. I enjoy cold pizza but not when it's supposed to be hot. I really had a taste for some roundtable but today was not good.

I cannot say enough positive things about this location. I adored the former manager, Abby. She was a delight and the staff always made my pizza perfect. Abby moved on and Bethany took over. I have been ill for the last couple of months and it's just easier to order pizza than go to the store when you don't feel well (plus, for some reason it's the only thing that doesn't upset my stomach). When Bethany and her team found out I have been ill she started to right cheerful notes on the pizza boxes. It is unrealistic to assume your food is going to be perfect every time. i'm not perfect and on the rare occasion that my pizza isn't correct Bethany and her staff immediatly correct the problem with some of the best customer service I have seen. The cheerful notes brighten my day, especially when I am not feeling well. People are so quick to complain and don't realize it's just a pizza. if you treat the staff with respect and kindness, you will get that in return. I like the pizzas. I don't really like the price and the fact that they don't offer many coupons these days. Also, what's up with them NEVER putting green onions on their pizza but they have it up as an option?!! Ordered a medium King A. Supreme a 5:42pm. After waiting more than 1.5 hrs I called and asked when I could expect my dinner. No apology or any "sorry sir...bla bla..." At 7:23pm I called again and told them to cancel. Again - no apology, no offer of some kind to compensate, no nothing. Unbelievable poor service and customer care. Then I called Dragon Pond, and placed an order. From I hang up the phone - went in my car to get it, paid, got in may car to drive back, parked, sat down at the dinner table and had my dinner = 13 min.!!!!
