    Salad Bar

I've been coming here for years for the salad bar. On a recent visit, everything was so fresh and perfect I felt a little guilty for messing it up.

First time coming here as the Round Tables in Santa Rosa have completely fallen apart. Pizza ready on time and looks great! One problem, I am pretty sure I got thin crust, not regular. The taste is just not the same... I believe a couple dining in at the restaurant (mine was takeout, looked at toppings before leaving, never expected a crust problem) had same thing happen. Nice staff. Disappointed but will try again.

It's been well over 10 years since I've ordered from a Round Table Pizza. Not much open the day after Christmas this year. I decided in curbside pick up and was parked at the front door. When I ordered by phone I was very clear I was parked at the front door. It wasn't very busy when I ordered. The person who I spoke with said it would be 15-20 minutes for my order. I called in my order at 2:53. At 3:38 I called back asking about my order. She asked me to hold after she gave my name so clearly she knew who I was and what time I placed order. Then apologized and put me on hold. A guy then answered and said the breadsticks were just coming out of the oven. I ordered a small combo pizza, order the 3 breadsticks (cinnamon) and an order for f 3 garlic Parmesan breadsticks with marinara sauce. Anyway, my order arrives curbside after about 6 more minutes. So now around an hour after I called. An apology was offered but nearly $40 for this meal isn't cool. The only reason I gave this place a try s because my usual pizza go to restaurant in Sebastopol didn't open until 4 today and I didn't want to wait an hour. Turns out it was about an hour after all. If you look over my past reviews you can see I really enjoy writing positive reviews. But today it was tough. I get home and the cinnamon breadsticks are delicious. The garlic Parmesan breadsticks have no marinara sauce. The pizza is actually not done enough so the dough is semi raw inside. The small pizza and 6 breadsticks cost around $34. I tipped 5 cash. So for $39 the only thing I enjoyed was 3 cinnamon breadsticks.

I didn't eat the tomino but my friends said it was very good. Minus one star as the garlic bread wasn't very garlicky, and crust was hard and razor sharp. Be careful when biting! Earl Grey Tea (5/5) - They give you a generous amount of tea! I love that it wasn't a tea bag. Overall, lot a fans will be sad to see this place go.

(FYI, I'm super woo :)) Then, my sister-in-law raved about it, declaring it the best pizza she's ever had. (Or something incredibly declarative like that.) We decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, Fugazi was playing in the shop. That was a good sign. When do you ever hear Fugazi playing at an establishment nowadays, the last time was probably in a record shop in the 90s. The pizzas are displayed, and you choose how much of each pizza you'd like and they will cut some off for you and it is priced by weight. Then, they heat it up for you to melt the cheese, and viola! Served with cloth napkins, pizza scissors, if desired when eating-in. (Truly the most brilliant way to cut pizza!) Immediately, I saw "OG Potato" and that was a must have. It was something like Potato, ricotta, chile oil, mozzarella, dill. (Just to cut to the chase on this one, it was incredible! I am obsessed with ricotta, and there was something about all the combination of flavors especially the dill that gave some freshness amongst the rich taste of everything else.) Others we got were the pepperoni, a 4 cheese, and a vegan one with no cheese, just tomato sauce, roasted garlic, olives (there may have been other stuff on it, but that's what I remember) Everything was incredible, even the vegan one. The tomato sauce was so high quality, and I was glad there wasn't any vegan cheese on it. Just veggie tastiness in its purest form. The sourdough crust was light and fluffy. It was all just so high quality, and you can feel the passion for their food. Oh yeah, I almost forgot a big star: the Kale Caesar. Don't sleep on that one. It's one of the best salads we've had in years. It was flavorful, with bits of sunflower seeds to give it crunch. Dressing was on-point with a mountain of fluffy parm on top. And so here's the thing with the current state of eating establishments. There is so much expensive mediocre food out there. Nowadays, you may pay $12 for a salad that's out of a bag with wilted ends and sorry baby carrots. And so, considering there's a place that's putting beautifully intentional food out there, I'd rather choose to go to the place that is high quality and cares about their food and sustainability. We topped off our experience with soft serve and a cookie. The soft serve was amazing. We got it 'eat-in' and it was high quality soft-serve in a whimsical cup and presidential spoons. (Love the sustainability angle, but also the whimsy) You can get it with olive oil and sea salt and other toppings, but I went pure. It was milky and homey, and just gooood. (My hubs wanted the cookie) Not to mention, service was genuine. There was a slow, no-rush vibe to this place that might piss some people off. But given its name, I feel like it's apt. It's Psychic Pie for god's sake, and the ethereal does not rush. In the ethereal, time doesn't exist!!! (lol) You can feel that every part of this establishment is in the vision of its owner, wanting the experience to be a part of their authenticity and values. And we need more of that in this world right now. (And I don't mean some skewed sense of 'authenticity' as in just saying whatever comes to mind and is 'in your face' that has infiltrated our society today) This is true authenticity I'm talking about - an expression of your own Light essence. (See, I told you I'm woo) Speaking of which, the music continued to be my jam at my time here... likely to be a Pixies radio mix, with awesome 90s punk / indie. Some songs I hadn't heard in decades but love. So, it was like entering into someone's establishment that's part of my soul tribe. So, if any of the above sound like your jam too... give it a try!

The halibut was perfectly seasoned, and the fresh tomatoes that came with it burst with flavor in every bite. I usually go for the half chicken (which is also fantastic), but I'm so glad I tried the halibut this time. But I'm honestly not joking when I say I prefer Pizza Leah to anything I had there. I don't understand how they get the crust like this. It's perfectly chewy and just cooked exactly right. My two favorites are the Roo's and the Po-Tay-To. I love how the place is laid out. You can see into the kitchen, and the eating area is exactly what I think a pizza place should look like. It just feels comfortable. One time on my birthday, my wife picked up the pizza and didn't realize that they gave her the wrong one until she got home. She called and went back to get the right one, and when she got there they had forgotten to remake it, so she had to wait. She was honestly pretty mad at that point after making two trips, which I don't blame her for at all. But they were so apologetic that they ended up giving us the pizza for free, and that honestly made up for everything and turned it into a really nice surprise. She got over it pretty quickly after that. Funny enough, it worked out as two trips for two pizzas, and my birthday is 2/2. Now whenever I eat pizza anywhere else, I end up comparing it to Pizza Leah. Other places have good pizza, but this one just checks every single box for me. It just is the perfect pizza for me.
