Wherever I am, when I'm craving pizza I find a Round Table and let them do their magic :-) When we came to this location, the service was fast, and the pizza was awesome as usual; it didn't take long for the food to come out, and when it came, it was totally worth the somewhat higher-than-average price. The patio area needs to be cleaned/swept. There were chicken bones and trash all over the floor causing a lot of flies to come. Tables were dirty, I had to ask cashier for something to wipe it down with. Had to keep getting up and asking cashier for napkins because no one ever came to check up on us. I realize this is a chain, but I came here wanting to relive some awesome childhood pizza parties and, I'm happy to report, it tastes exactly the same as it did circa 1991 (hence my 4-stars). No it's not gourmet, no it's not organic, no there isn't burrata and pancetta toppings, but amongst the chain old-school pizza places (i.e., dominos, pizza hut) this is the best. Round Table offers dine-in options rather than the "express" service as dominos and pizza hut, so it makes it more homey in my opinion. This spot is smaller than other Round Tables I recall and there is no salad bar, but meh, who needs iceberg lettuce when you want extra cheesy pizza? We ordered a small pizza (6 slices) with mushrooms and sausage and 6-piece buffalo wings and soda. The employee who took our order (likely the owner) was very friendly and nice since it took us a minute to review the menu. The total cost was about $21. I didn't try the wings, but they looked super hot from the oven. The pizza, as I stated before, was exactly as I remember it--super cheesy, slightly crispy thin-ish crust, it was very satisfying. I believe they deliver too. There is a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. If you want to relive those childhood soccer pizza parties, complete with video games and sticker machine, this is the place to be! read more

I ordered a pizza for Super Bowl Sunday, and knowing it would be a busy day, I ordered at 9am for a 2:45 delivery so it would arrive in time for the game. One pizza and some tenders came out to over $30, which is a little pricey, but Round Table is known for quality, so I wasn't that bothered. I called at 3:15 when the pizza still hadn't arrived and I was told it was on its way. It finally arrived at 3:45, an hour after it was supposed to. Not only that, but it was missing toppings, and was not even the right crust (ordered pan and got thin crust). I called to complain, but no one answered. I should have checked the pizza before I let the driver go, but I was already missing the game and didn't want to miss more of it. I've ordered from this place before but for some reason they sent me a highly visibly burnt pizza that they should have thrown in the trash. On top of that, the sauce was marinara instead or garlic, which is the whole reason I order from here--because I love their garlic sauce. read more

Each time I order i'm delivered a dense, rich product with quality ingredients that reheats better than anything else on the planet. (Yes, although that statement is purely subjective, I truly believe their crack team of food scientists have spent eons figuring out the secret behind chain food reheating and have slowly spread the word to customers within the form of a tiny "reheating tips" message on the side of the box ) I also dig the fact most locales stick to the pizza place basics that I remember as a child and provide a place to play galaga and drink large pitchers of root beer. Hard to go wrong with Round Table Pizza right? Me Thinks NOT! Easter Sunday not a lot of places open. RTP Dead. No one in there except for the staff and the girl who unfortunately was our server. Let me play this out for you. Went in, dead, literally no one in the place at all but my friend and me. The gal behind the counter was rude and quite honestly a bit*h...like it was our fault that she had to work that day EASTER SUNDAY (you know who you are). She refused to tell us how many slices were in each pizza size, she said, "you can look at the menu above." We sat down and waited for her to bring our pitcher of beer. She forgot. When she came out to tell us they didn't have what we ordered, we asked what other choices they had. Her response: (in a very sassy tone), "I don't have the beers memorized." (And this isn't all of what happened but by now I'm sure you get the gist) I very rarely complain about service because it's not worth it, but this time I had to say something. I spoke with the manager / owner and while he somewhat agreed that her poor attitude was not appropriate; he made excuses for her behavior. First off, I was in the right and second, even if I wasn't I'm the customer and he should have extremely apologetic for the way we were treated. Although this experience won't prevent me from going to Round Table Pizza, you can bet that I'll never be returning to this one and I hope the manager reads this and takes note to take better care of his customers in the future. read more

I had the worst time finding a decent pizza joint here in Long Beach to satisfy my love of cheese and carbs. I seriously tried half a dozen before I tried Round Table, and I was ever so pleasantly surprised at how much I liked their pizza. I usually just get a mushroom and pepperoni pizza, sometimes with garlic twists and sometimes not. Their pizza sauce is awesome, the crust is crispy and not too thick, and the toppings are fresh. They are a bit expensive with their $18 minimum delivery and $2 delivery fee, but I would rather spend a few more bucks on an awesome pizza than waste my money at some of the other joints that people seem to love down here. read more

Recently came here on the way home from a swim meet at the next door Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool, and we weer so thankful this was open until 10pm! It's a cute space, with a nice outdoor patio to eat at, and the pizza's actually really good. They have a yelp check-in offer for $19.99 for a medium pizza, 6 wings, and 6 garlic twists i think which is a pretty good deal if you are feeding hungry teenagers! The clerk was super nice, and our one personal pizza, one small pizza, and 3 garlic twists came out in about 15 mins. There's a small indoor dining room, one tv. Entire place is neatly kept, but pretty normal pizzeria faire. And the pizza tastes great. With the personals, you can customize so everyone ends up happy! There's regular crust, thin, or pan. There's also 3 different sauces, with regular red, a sweeter red, and a garlic creme. That's fancy for a national chain pizzeria. Try a personal thin crust with pineapple. Delish! Also the garlic twists really surprised me. Really well made, and you can tell they didn't just come frozen out of a generic bag. As far as pizza places go, I have my favorite LB independents that I love. That being said, sometimes a girl just wants a chain- the flavors are familiar and they all pretty much taste the same. Round Table was childhood favorite of mine- pan pizza with pepperoni and black olives- I never deviated from my usual. Now, I prefer pineapple and mushroom or just plain cheese. (Pan crust, of course.) I ordered from this location the first time about a month ago. I haven't stopped! The staff is super nice, the pizza is always yummy, and delivery is pretty quick. Went by to pick up a pie, and the clerk was super dry and not exactly rude, but certainly not friendly or articulate or helpful. Anyway, the pizza is still amazing and worth a drive ALL the way over to that side of town. The dining room is kind of a joke, it's more like a place to stand around while they make your pizza. Had our Valentine's late Evening Family dinner here today. It's my fiance's favorite and kids LOVE pizza LOL! Location is tiny but it's never really occupied, so no biggie. We spend about $2 on the old video games for us all while we wait. The wait isn't all that long and the pizza is great! Too HOT to eat right away, the way pizza is suppose to be served. As franchise pizza goes, Round Table isn't bad. Places like this used to be ubiquitous. Straw Hat, Shakey's & Pizza Hut were everywhere until the economy & Domino's forced the focus to delivery & take out. I don't know what percentage of Round Table's business is delivery, take-out & eat-in, but I've done all three here. The pizza is hot, consistent & fresh, which is more than a lot of places. The crust is a bit bready, typical for Southern California, unless you go for the skinny crust, which is pretty good. The meatball sandwich isn't worth the effort or the price. Wings & Salads are forgettable. My experience with the take-out & delivery are they have always been accurate, on-time & friendly. The restaurant is clean. I agree with the other reviewer regarding management. I've had 3 interactions with 2 different managers, none of which were positive. I don't know what it's like to work here, but these guys seem clearly unhappy here. The restaurant seems to run smoothly, but with so many pizza options in the area, one would think they would give 2 cents about people who live in their own neighborhood & regularly patronize this business, rather than treat them like contemptible derelicts unworthy of basic courtesy. I guess they don't emphasize courtesy or respect at Round Table U. Have their pizza, but have it delivered to avoid interaction with the managers. read more

I love this round table. The service and location are good. The Pan crust & sauce is the best. Most of the time the pizza has been great. Every once a while, it's not as great but I guess it depends on who makes it. I would give it 4 starts but the restaurant is fairly small, has no a/c and its usually stuffy inside. But they do have a nice size patio. Also I ordered online and the food had not even been started when I arrived 30 mins later. I think it was because they want you to pre-pay the food online. This isn't a bad Round Table, it's just not a big one -- a little smaller than most RTs, video games slightly outdated, few indoor tables and a single TV. But what sets it apart from others is the outdoor seating, likely the only Round Table with a (limited) view of the beach and beachgoers. The pizza is the typical Round Table good, but pricey. Okay, so I'm basing this review on only one kind of pizza. I can't speak for all of their food, but their pan crust pizza with jalapenos and chopped garlic is AMAZING. Just recently stopped eating meat and I've been missing the spice of pepperoni, and this pizza made memories of pepperoni float away like a fond dream. The red sauce on their pizza is flavorful, the crust is wonderful, and they put the perfect amount of cheesy goodness on. Also, I always come in to pick up the pizza and all of the employees I've dealt with have been very friendly and nice. Final verdict: it's delightful and delicious with good service to boot. Food was delivered to an address I lived at 5 years ago. Round Table took it upon themselves to use this address instead of my current address on file with Eat24. Had to give confused driver correct address while he had my food at my old address. The result was over $40 paid for lukewarm food. Eat24 tried to rectify the situation while Round Table offered $9 in credit. Thanks for nothing Round Table, you lost a customer. read more

Out of all the pizzas places I have recently tried in Long Beach, this place makes the best pizzas. The place may not be kept up or so friendly, but the food was very delicious.
