During my time working here, I had serious concerns regarding the workplace environment, food handling, and how customer complaints were handled. I personally witnessed situations involving food that I believed was past its expiration date, as well as customers being yelled at when they complained about undercooked food. If you're considering working here, I strongly suggest thinking twice. It has now been three months since I worked here, and I still have not received my final paycheck. I have attempted to resolve the issue, but I am still waiting to be paid for the hours I worked. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this establishment to customers or anyone considering working here.

We order various dishes from a great menu selection: Burger good but overcooked Chicken and waffles very good. Crispy and juicy. Waffles with berries very good and fresh. But not having real maple syrup is a major let down Roast beef sandwich very good. Little overcooked but good. Onion rings fresh and crispy. Vineyard eggs with chorizo. Perfectly cooked and delicious. Would of preferred bigger pieces of chorizo instead of tiny ground pieces. Coffee good but not hot enough. Teas served perfectly steaming hot. Service was prompt and friendly. Patio is great when nice weather and chairs are super comfortable.

After we parked we saw Sideshow on the way and decided to check out the menu. It sounded very intriguing so we decided to go there instead. My only complaint is that I really wanted one of their specials, the Smoked Turkey Salad Sandwich, but they were sold out. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to the smoked Gouda, but I can't hold the fact that it was really popular against them. Instead I settled on the Golden Goddess Grilled Chicken Wrap and the Jalapeno Corn Chowder as a starter. I think the chowder was missing a little something flavor wise (not sure what), but it had a nice kick to it and I was satisfied with it overall. Loved the cornbread on the side. The sandwich was great and the crispy potato skin fries were hot, fresh and delicious. The rest of my family inhaled the smoked chicken wings with the Jalapeno Mango glaze as a starter. They must have been good as I barely got a taste. For a main course my other half had the Sliced Steak Sandwich and my kids chose the Sideshow Burger (with a side salad) and the Spicy Shrimp Orecchiette (pasta) special. My son wasn't crazy about the special sauce on the burger, but otherwise everyone was happy. Two of us had enough left overs for our lunch the next day. I was really happy with the size of the starters as they were a great addition to the meal, but not overly filling where you couldn't eat your main entree. The inside of the restaurant was smaller than I expected, but it had a pleasant atmosphere. I was happy about the fact that although they had TVs playing the World Cup in the background the TVs didn't overwhelm the space. We did notice the employees had to bring new supplies/food in through the front door to take to the kitchen repeatedly while we were there. They don't appear to have access directly into the kitchen from outside, which is a little odd. A limitation in the design I suppose. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant. We ended our meal with a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Strudel. We will definitely be back again.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The space inside feels cramped, with tables way too close together. During brunch, it was chaotic, to loud, obnoxious groups were yelling their orders across the room, blocking aisles, and generally being inconsiderate. It made for a pretty unpleasant dining experience. While people do bring kids and there's technically a kid menu, I wouldn't call this a family-friendly environment at all. The food was a major letdown. The tots were overcooked to the point of being hard, the fish sandwich was bland and mostly bread, and the pretzel was just mediocre; I've honestly had better from Costco. Good beer can only carry a place so far. Between the atmosphere and the disappointing food, I wouldn't rush back.

Good for what it was. *Food took 40 minutes to come out, which is a long time when you didn't order appetizers. Waitress made eye contact and realized we weren't served, but didn't approach us to check-in intentionally because she could tell there was a delay. The delay would make sense if it weren't for the fact that we got in as soon as the restaurant opened, on a weekday. Anyway, the chicken potato dumpling dish is the saver of this review.
