Slop

This place is very well cleaned and kept. And the staff cares. The problems are big though. If you decide to spend 38$ for two, take a close look at the fuzzy tomatoes, the wilting greens , the soon to be dehydrating featured red cabbage and other vegetables swimming in liquid about to ferment. This place used to have fresh, crisp and appetizing things to "top it off" with. Alas, the forever chemicals are not even doing their job. Save your money or go to olive Mediterranean grill across the street.

For $33 I can't believe this is essentially what I got delivered. This meal itself was $18. I was expecting to be blown away and that's how it was? No: I'll never order from here again.

Never a disappointing Roti experience... Fresh! Flavorful!! Fulfilling!!! This place is F'reaking Awesome! I highly recommend this highly customizable Mediterranian Bowl.

Custom Build Your Own Bowl

For a "fast casual" place, Roti has some of the best food you can hope for. I have been visiting various locations around the city for years but this one has been my recent favorite! Fresh, "clean" ingredients, a wide variety of flavors and unlimited ingredients at no additional cost make this a great value! Overall, this is a fantastic place for lunch or dinner anytime you want some delicious, somewhat clean food. Highly recommended

Roti bowl with chili cauliflower and goodies with a pita and drink
Tammy S.

I wanted something quick and healthy, so Roti was it, and I didn't go wrong here. I ordered a bowl with the chili cauliflower and chose all my favorites to add into the mix. It was a flavor explosion in my mouth. There are so many choices including gluten-free and vegan. This is a fast casual spot to please anyone. The pita was warm and puffy, which was a wonderful addition to my bowl. I enjoyed sitting outside to eat though I couldn't finish my entire bowl as it is a lot of food. I will add it to my places to go when I'm in town after a morning of shopping!

Build Your Own Bowl

Got a build-your-own bowl through doordash and was a disappointed. I'm from California and thought that Roti would be a great alternative to Kava. I ordered the spicy beef on top of jasmine rice and a bunch of toppings. I love green shug and garlic sauce and ordered it in my bowl but did not find ANY of those two sauces in here! Only found the red pepper sauce and tahini, which left my bowl a bit drier than I had wanted. My boyfriend ordered a salmon yogurt bowl and his salad was not very fresh. Note that a yogurt bowl is mostly salad on top of lots of tzatziki.

Hands down the best Roti in the city! Fresh ingredients, healthy food, good ambience, and friendly staff. I cannot believe that I finished the whole bowl! Will have to fast tomorrow.

Chicken Roti Dinner Kit
Jeremy B.

Ordered a carry out order online for the family dinner kit during the shelter at home order for COVID-19. Let me just say my expectations were exceeded! The food was prepared on time, and packed extremely well. The dinner was a great value! It contained everything you'd need for a complete dinner: chicken, rice, salad, falafel, pita and hummus. They even included all of their sauces and dessert!! What a great touch. Highly recommend, this could feed two people multiple meals or be a filling meal for four-six people.

Make-your-own rice bowl with falafel (vegan)
Matt B.

Good spot for make-your-own rice bowls, wraps and salads that are vegan-friendly. After arriving on an evening flight, we scrambled around looking for a quick bite to eat and found this place. We each got a make-your-own rice bowl (about $11 plus tax), with falafel (as the protein), an assortment of veggies you can choose, some toppings, and sauce. Simple but reasonably fresh, filling, healthy-ish, and well-priced. Did the trick.

Not the worst thing I've ever eaten, but definitely the worst falafel sandwich I've ever had. Not even worth the $12 they charge.

Got food poisoning from a chicken rice bowl. Will never be back! Should have left when I saw a bunch of young kids preparing the food.

Not good. The spicy steak pita was horrible and chewy. The chicken roti not much better, $30 for 2 horrible sandwiches and drinks!

I used to live this place, but the quality and the choices have gone down. I stopped here today and their &13 salad was mediocre at best.

I wish I wasn't just visiting Chicago so this place was more accessible to me everyday. But I fear i'd go broke if this was in my city. This is a great quick lunch option especially if visiting the zoo/park/beach area. Everything felt light, fresh, and healthy. It felt a little pricey for me but it's Chicago so it may be normal so take that as you will but for how delicious and the amazing ingredients it's worth it. Especially that dang pink sauce on the fries....you've got to get the garlic sauce fries if you check this place out. Some of the most beautiful and tasty fries i've ever had! Dresscode: Smart Casual / Casual Noise Level: Medium (it gets buzzy after 5:30pm) Thursday night Happy Hour was lively, so it took about 10-15 minutes for someone to come around, but service was attentive once we got going. The food is where Ēma really shines. From the Happy Hour menu, the Charred Eggplant Hummus and Crispy Potatoes were generously portioned and great for sharing. On the main menu, the Indian-Mediterranean fusion Bhel Hummus was a party for my taste buds, while the Hot Honey Halloumi and Chicken Kefta rounded out the table nicely. The halloumi is more of a side than a main, but that sweet-and-salty hot honey combo was chef's kiss. For our finisher, the Chocolate Torte knocked us out. Decadent, delicious and chocolate with lots of depth. By the time I finished, the place was completely full and a bit noisy, but not bad. I started out with a 10oz Birds of Prey Pilsner. It was very nice. Light and crisp and very easy to drink. I followed that up with Melodious Maibock and ordered the CBG burger with fries. I didn't have lunch so I dove right in and forgot to snap a photo. It was a very good smash burger. It was cooked well and I really liked the combination of pickled onion and caramelized onion. I didn't see it until later but you can add bacon. As much as I loved this burger, bacon would totally take it up a notch! I started chatting with the bartender about their different beers and decided to have the Super Melodious Jalapeño Maibock with the burger. It's soooo different, but in a good way. It paired so well with the burger. You get green bell pepper on the nose and a hint of it on the palate. When you swallow you get a little heat at the back of the throat. It was so good! Great bar.
