Chicken Shawarma Bowl
Leland L.

Can't believe it took me so long to come here! Great spot for lunch. It's connected to All Too Well. They don't have a bathroom in Evette's but they point you to use the one in All Too Well. Counter service ordering and the food was prepared quickly. On Sunday you could order breakfast or lunch! I got the shawarma bow which was beautiful and delicious but the garlic feta fries stole the show!! Stunning and so good to share. The breakfast looked so good too! Light fresh bold flavors but still very authentic.

We ordered this from Uber Eats. It came fresh and quick, the food was still warm. We tried: - Chicken Shawarma Bowl - Chicken Shawarma Wrap - Garlic Feta Fries I preferred the wrap over the bowl, as it comes with pickles so there is more balance/flavor than the bowl. The fries were good too. Everything looked pretty flavorful, so we plan to try other options.

I love coming to Evette's whenever I'm starving. I always get the chicken shawarma bowl because you basically get to try the whole menu! The bowl has a little of everything such as the fries, salad, and couscous. This time I also got the gryos fries because something about their pink sauce makes me inhale the food every time I come here. The fries are definitely on the heavier side, so be careful ordering too much if it's your first time coming here! The service is always quick and easy since the menu isn't freaking huge. Menu is super simple and straight the point. I love coming here in the summer to enjoy the ambiance because they open the huge window up front so that you're able to enjoy a breeze while eating and people watching at the same time. Honestly, this place is very solid and I cannot wait to be back!

We got Evette's for takeout and it was delicious! It all tasted very fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The bowl was the perfect meal after a long weekend to re-nourish. Will definitely be back to try their other items!

Cool vibes, great food and unique menu. I went during brunch time so there was a limited brunch menu. I ordered 2 halloumi tacos which were delicious and flavorful.

Great service and friendly staff. I was in the mood for a quick bite and I ordered the garlic feta fries which were spectacular. It's a casual location to grab a quick bite. Highly recommend to try it out as they have some other healthy options.

Good: incredibly delicious and fresh! Amazing portion Ambience: very small cafe with a few sittings, no waiter service. You order and eat. Good is so good that ambience doesn't matter haha

Really loved the Haloumi tacos! Something I've never thought to combine before! The shawarma fries were good - the cut of fries were unique and I have never seen that kind of style before. Kinda looks like a potato was cut in half the long way and then sliced in a medium thickness with a mandolin from the way the pieces curl slightly. Something to keep in mind is that there is no bathroom in the restaurant you can use (keep in mind it's a small space overall) BUT the person working was so kind to let me use the sink behind the counter to wash my hands!! Seriously appreciate that as I ordered foods that required my hands to hold. I'm still thinking about those tacos. Such a good treat and everything tasted so fresh!

Hash brown breakfast was incredible, one of the best breakfast sandwiches that can be found. Other sandwich was quality as well. Friendly staff and welcoming interior

Holy crap this was a bomb breakfast sandwich. I came with some friends, we all got something different, and we all couldn't believe how good our food was. We left the farmer's market with decision paralysis and headed to Evette's instead. Highly highly recommend!!!!

I got the chicken Shawarma bowl and it changed my life! It had a combo of everything I wanted, with sweet, salty and savory components. Also the people who work here are so nice and helpful! Highly recommend.

The breakfast bowl was highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. I decided to add bacon, and it was the best decision. I took this delicious bowl to the beach, and it was the perfect idea for a relaxing afternoon. The bowl had a delightful sweetness from the onions and a generous amount of potatoes and avocado, which is always a plus in my book. I will definitely be returning for more! A heads-up if you're planning to eat inside: the space is pretty small and fills up quickly, but overall, it's a fantastic spot. Highly recommended!

Been here twice and have enjoyed it both times. My favorite is the fries with chicken. Staff is super friendly. Cute (but small) space.

Despite their well-earned fame, this spot keeps the humble, hole-in-the-wall energy intact, small, unpretentious, and staffed by some genuinely warm and welcoming people. Pop in, grab a seat, and let them do the rest. My fiancé and I shared the quesabirria combo, two quesabirrias with consomé, a Mexican Coke, and a Jamaica, and honestly, everything was amazing. The Jamaica alone deserves its own shoutout: perfectly balanced, not too bitter, not too sweet, and exactly what you need to cut through the heat of the food. The tacos came out piping hot, prepped right in front of us, loaded with cheese and packed with flavor. The consomé was warming, rich, and perfectly spiced, the kind of broth that makes you want to tip the bowl. And the accompaniments (onion, cilantro, peppers, lime, and salsa) give you full control to doctor things up to your liking. For spice lovers, this setup is a dream. My one gripe, and the sole reason I'm docking a star, is the price. At around $30 for two tacos, a consomé, and drinks, it's a tough pill to swallow. As a Mexican American, there's something about that price point that pulls me slightly out of the authentic experience I was hoping for. I fully respect the craft and passion behind this food, but it's worth noting. That said? Don't let it stop you. This food is incredible, and I'll absolutely be back.

Really awesome space at a crowded downtown location. Foods were served on nice metal holders or disposable/environmentally friendly containers and utensils. The tacos were huge, and I love that they focus on the variety of vegetables on the taco, which is often overlooked at other places. Veggies also make the taco look beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the tikka paneer, the paneer was soft for paneer but firmer than tofu, a really great texture. And the flavor wasn't overpowering. The tikka sauce was light, which I am totally fine with. The chicken quesadilla was also made well and of good value, the kids all really liked it. The salmon was good too but didn't really stand out as much, but appreciate the variety veggies on top! The mexi-Cali shrimp bowl was not bad either, but also didn't stand out much. The shrimp was good but I prefer it cooked even lighter if possible. Flavor was good tho. The rice was long grain, which I prefer, but they do give quite a lot, I ended up having quite a lot leftover. I wish the had a bit more cilantro or other herby mix to increase the depth of flavor, but overall still pretty good. Queso was also really good, thick and creamy, not too salty, but sadly the kids didn't like it as much. Husband also liked the gochujang pork a lot, said it was actually really really good. Overall, we really enjoyed everything we had there. Love that they also had paper towels everywhere. My preferred method of keeping clean haha. Will definitely come back.

It was very busy, almost every seat taken and the staff was running around taking orders with a smile delivering food and seemed to be having fun too. This is the kind of ENERGY I love!! There is a separate bar for drinks. The juices are freshly made in house, the horchata was highly recommended and apparently always sells out. I might have gotten the last glass of the night, the guy who ordered right after me couldn't get it. My quesoburrias and chicken quesadilla were very filling, and honestly I didn't need to order three, I left overstuffed haha... the waiter says I should try the shrimp tacos and cod next time. It's 1 pm and you're HUNGRY and want a DRINK. This was our experience walking into Taqueria Primo Chukis. We ordered some very well-priced margaritas, my husband got tacos and I got a chicken burrito. YUMMMM. Great portions (my burrito was huge), simple yet flavorful recipes, and great service. The house salsas were great as well and actually quite spicy. After inhaling our food in record time and declaring this our favorite restaurant of our new neighborhood, only one question remained - was it actually that good, or were we just starving from our move?
