This place was a very happy find! In the area, with a large group, looking for a pizza spot and some of us didn't want pizza and this literally was across the street. We bopped in and little to our surprise, it was the best decision we made all day. I got the shawarma bowl with gryo and the garlic sauce fries and wow, everything was to die for. I wish I wasn't just visiting Chicago so this place was more accessible to me everyday. But I fear i'd go broke if this was in my city. This is a great quick lunch option especially if visiting the zoo/park/beach area. Everything felt light, fresh, and healthy. It felt a little pricey for me but it's Chicago so it may be normal so take that as you will but for how delicious and the amazing ingredients it's worth it. Especially that dang pink sauce on the fries....you've got to get the garlic sauce fries if you check this place out. Some of the most beautiful and tasty fries i've ever had! Can't believe it took me so long to come here! Great spot for lunch. It's connected to All Too Well. They don't have a bathroom in Evette's but they point you to use the one in All Too Well. Counter service ordering and the food was prepared quickly. On Sunday you could order breakfast or lunch! Came here for brunch after the zoo. The Lebanese Breakfast offers classic American breakfast items fused with Lebanese flavors, such as the spiced scrambled eggs, fresh cucumbers and cheese, or pita bread with yogurt dill dipping sauce. The bowl has a little of everything such as the fries, salad, and couscous. This time I also got the gryos fries because something about their pink sauce makes me inhale the food every time I come here. The fries are definitely on the heavier side, so be careful ordering too much if it's your first time coming here! The service is always quick and easy since the menu isn't freaking huge. Menu is super simple and straight the point. I love coming here in the summer to enjoy the ambiance because they open the huge window up front so that you're able to enjoy a breeze while eating and people watching at the same time. It's been years since I've been to Evette's, despite remembering it as absolutely amazing. Today I finally got myself there for lunch. I chose this place for a breakfast sandwich over Noble Fat . The inside is small but cute. The service was decent however the Caucasian guy makes everything with his bare hands touching - eggs, sausage, hash browns all bare hands . The other guys wore gloves thank goodness as it looked like he prepared my sandwich from standing near the window . Really loved the Haloumi tacos! Something I've never thought to combine before! The shawarma fries were good - the cut of fries were unique and I have never seen that kind of style before. Kinda looks like a potato was cut in half the long way and then sliced in a medium thickness with a mandolin from the way the pieces curl slightly. Something to keep in mind is that there is no bathroom in the restaurant you can use (keep in mind it's a small space overall) BUT the person working was so kind to let me use the sink behind the counter to wash my hands!! Seriously appreciate that as I ordered foods that required my hands to hold. I'm still thinking about those tacos. Such a good treat and everything tasted so fresh! read more

Stopped by Evette's after visiting the Green City Farmer's Market with a friend, and it was the perfect spot for a hearty lunch to fuel us for the rest of the day. We ordered the garlic feta fries, a hashbrown sandwich, and the flaky malawach wrap with gyro. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was definitely the malawach wrap. It was a little messy to eat, but the layers of flaky dough combined with the seasoned gyro meat made it totally worth it. I've been to Evette's a few times now, and there food is really good! I think particularly anything that comes with the fries, the pink sauce, and cheese. The pitas are just ok - I would personally go for the bowl. And I honestly think that the halloumi is better than the meat because is that good. During my last visit, I got the steak pita which was good but I'd get the bowl in the future. So much flavor. Things to note is that there is no public bathroom, but they do have several tables inside. During my most recent visit on a nice Saturday at lunch time, the tables were mostly full, but we were able to find a spot. read more

Wow!!! What an awesome place! I had never heard of Evettes but had a gift card so I picked up some lunch yesterday. It was incredible! I've been blabbing to my friends how in the spring, I can't wait to walk down here and grab lunch again! First thing is first, the staff=amazing! I called to place my order and asked about a billion questions about what was in some of the sauces and salads. I asked what their favorites were and they were so patient and helpful. When I showed up, I was warmly greeted and handed my food. The inside was super cute and they had many covid precautions in place. I ran some errands and an hour later got to eating my lunch and it was outstanding. I'm sure it would have been even better hot but I was thrilled. I got the halloumi and gyro tacos and the whipped feta app. Outstanding!! The tacos were incredible and this red sauce they give you, not sure what it is but I saved it to put on other food! To me, this seems more like a lunch vibe since it closes at 8:00pm. The garlic feta fries are delicious and can easily be shared. The Evettes Plate with chicken shawarma is yummy and the salad that comes with it is refreshing since they add in pomegranates in it.
