This place really needs to work on its standards. I know, it's the holiday season. However, I was first customer in the door this day and this is how the aisles looked every dingle one wxcept clothing that was hung. The only three employees was the cash reg person, very chatty security guy. that wouldn't allow her to focus (he just leaned on counter and chatted while she checked people out) and finally, a nice girl on the floor setting up new lamps from the back; instead of cleaning up this lawsuit waiting to happen. I almost tripped twice. I mention the pet aisle to the casher because that where, I almost fell. The cashier reply was priceless she said "well guess the need duplicate me" Smh. I realize this likely isn't these three's fault. However, who in the world is OK opening a store like this? Every single aisle just like this (see photos)! I would have placed a note on the door that said, I'm sorry "due scheduling issue we will be opening a half hour late" and at least got everything off the floor.smh

Cut lock for stolen bike

Bikers beware. The Ross on 22nd/ Harrison is on the end of a less-than-full strip mall. I was not allowed to lock my bike on store side of iron railing. They have no bike racks in front either. I'm doubtful about security cameras outside. They won't let you bring it in (that I get) but where I was instructed to park it was extremely vulnerable to theft as it takes 10 seconds to cut lock and there is a rather concealed driveway right there so they could scoop it off easily. The inside rail was visible from window. Outside of rail, you can no longer view it from store. There was a reason but it was not valid. I can shop at the one on Broadway...more traffic, more concerned for my bike was shown. The one on 22nd was same type set up that I had bike stolen at 2pm on Super Bowl Sunday at Golf Links and Harrison. It took 5 minutes for this to occur!

11/06/20 they officially have an Amazon locker for Amazon drop off & pick up shipments

Ross isn't the most organized store, but I can generally find good deals. Recently I got a great quality yoga mat for 10 bucks! score!

I take moments to admire things every time that I pass; I only wish they had more natural skulls. Believe it or not, we visited Arizona many years before we moved here, and The Happy Suguaro played a key factor in deciding to move here; it just captured the spirit and magic of the land so well. So, never think that an establishment is mere retail...it can be a whole lot more. Come here. Get inspired. And dream. Under desert skies...

The store has broad selection of seasonal and year-round wares that are colorful and interesting. All the above said, I have two issues with the place. First, the seasonal products like Talavera and pottery are priced higher than other merchants by 20% and I think that may be due to their location and the amount of inventory--my best advice is to wait for a sale. Second is the lack of a public restroom which I find ridiculous--they advertise on social media so their audience is broad, after a two-hour trip being told you can use a restroom at Trader Joe's is ridiculously inconvenient. Would I recommend The Happy Saguaro? Yes and no, if you're in the area or enroute to other destinations, it's worth a stop. If you're looking for something in particular you have to have, call and it can be worth the drive but realize you may be paying for it.

It was soo much fun walking around and seeing all the thrift and vintage items they had. I would come here all the time if I lived close to really spend time looking around at all they have to offer because this place is huge. They even have a downstairs with more items! I didn't even notice the downstairs, but my guy did. I'm soo glad I checked it out because I found a beautiful vintage metal art piece that was perfect in my guest room! I have been looking for a main art piece to hang up for months and couldn't believe my luck!

The prices are about average for an antique store. They have great selection but I wish there was more stuff and less furniture just as a personal preference. The people are super sweet and are exactly the kind of people I would want to be friends with. There is a ton of parking in front and in the back. The doors are automatic and there's an elevator and accessible bathroom so the whole building is very accessible. The really designed their new location around being inclusive to everybody and I love seeing that in Arizona. I go here every time I visit Tucson and always look forward to my next trip. Definitely give them some love and check the store out!
