For the items from my online order that didn't work out, the return process at the Factory Store was quick and easy, which made the whole shopping experience even better.

Service was friendly and helpful. Greeted upon entry near the cologne area and was checked on a few times while wandering around the men's section. The store, like many mall locations, is showing its age and is a bit worn in areas including the changing rooms, flooring and the ceilings. Nothing wild, but definitely noticeable. The store isn't huge, but it's not small, either. The displays are nicely spaced out and all the sale items are clearly marked. They had a good selection of handbags, jewelry, clothing and shoes. Practically everything in here was on sale, with an additional percentage off, so that was nice to see. The employees were friendly, but I felt like there were too many of them behind the counter. I think there was only one lady on the floor. When I went to pay, I was shocked that the lady asked me if I wanted a dust bag for my 2 items "for an additional $1." Ummm.. wow, since when do you have to buy that?! That signature pink drawstring bag always used to be included with your purchase. I politely declined, since I have a bunch at home anyway. I mean, a dollar isn't much, but I can just see it rising in the future. Imagine this in 5 years: "Would you like a dust bag for an additional $5?" No thanks. =/ Other than that, the ladies were nice and the prices were right. Sometimes I see things I just cannot leave without, but today wasn't one of those days. This is one of my favorite stores, so I'll always go in to take a look. Now I'm wondering if all the other locations "sell" that dust bag?! Guess I'll find out eventually. I looked through the women's store and although there appeared to be several people who worked there, no-one asked if I needed any help. Their prices are higher than some places but the quality appears to be good. I especially liked the sweaters but didn't try anything on or stay long. I am very familiar with Banana Republic and the quality of products being sold. Today I went into this particular BR store with my sister and daughter. See, my family is leaving on a three week trip to Europe very soon and I was looking for fancy wide leg pants. When we entered the store we were greeted by a women who seemed friendly. I was able to find 4 items that I liked and stood just outside the dressing room. While I waited, off to the side were two girls (associates) chatting away. The store wasn't busy at all. The friendly woman was helping another customer inside the dressing room and happened to notice me and let me into a dressing room. At the same moment one of the girl associates broke away from her convo and asked if I needed a dressing room. Duh, I'm standing holding clothes in front of the dressing room door. I tried the 4 pieces on. the friendly woman continued to help her customer and never did return to my dressing room nor did any other associate. Did I like the clothing? Yes. Would I have tried on more? Yes. Did any one associate do their job? NOPE! After I got dressed I brought my clothes out of the dressing room. Call me proper or old school - maybe I just have better manners than most but my intention were to put the clothing back in it's place. My sister was waiting just outside the dressing room and I stood and talked with her about where all the associates were? While I'm speaking to my sister one of the girl associates comes over and asked if anything worked. I politely said no and asked where I could place the items. She begins to explain that most people just leave the items in the dressing room. She continues to stare at me as I hold the items and then proceeds to say - Or I can just take them for you? She doesn't move at all. I attempted to hand the items over and she then says - oh, all of them??? I left the store and went a couple doors down to the HM store. Albeit, the quality is not equal - but the customer service is just right!
