So happy this book store is open! Always nice people ready to help. Granddaughter went home with a lot of books and a fun stuffed animal. Worth every cent!

Love this independent book shop that sells lovely paper goods to include cards, calendars, journals and some non paper good to include tshirts and wall art. The staff are super cool- friendly and helpful . They have a decent selection of books for every interest and several recommendations from staff. They carry several DEI authors/ genres. And they will give you a complimentary parking pass for a few hours as parking can sometimes be challenging on 4th Ave.

My wife is in a ladies book club and Antigone had it in stock. I will called it , in a hour , it looks new. The selection was on a cart with my name. Service was prompt and efficient. 15 minutes free parking on their lot. Longer than that you can ask for a window pass for the dash. The homeless are right outside the door begging money and is a turn off. But there are a few in fourth avenue, so I guess control is difficult. I would go again n

I love a quirky independent bookstore, and Antigone is definitely right up my alley. They've been a lovely feature on Fourth Ave. for the entire time I've lived in Tucson, and I absolutely love dropping in to browse whenever I'm in the area. As a smaller shop, they don't have a huge selection, but I've always reliably been able to find new releases, books related to current events, and a wonderfully-curated array of gems that I might not have known about. They're also happy to order books, if you can't find what you're looking for on the shelves. The books will always be at the marked price on the cover, but in my mind it's 100% worth it to support a local independent business rather than save a few dollars. Plus, Antigone has a loyalty card -- you get stamps for each $10 you spend and then you can redeem the filled card! In addition to their books, I love coming here for gifts. They have a lot of unique local items that make great presents, especially for friends who live elsewhere. Around the holidays, I particularly enjoy shopping for little tree ornaments to give as gifts, and people really love the ones I've gotten from Antigone. Shop local! (Note: the shop is currently closed due to social distancing measures in response to COVID-19, but you can still purchase over the phone!)

I love Bookmans and always will! I've loved this place since I was a kid and I make it a point to…read morevisit every time I come to Tucson. The prices haven't changed a whole lot since I was little which is nice. I love their book buying program and have existed solely on store credit for years now. I love bringing my old stuff in and shopping while they evaluate it. I live in Oregon now but I make sure to hang on to my credit slips for my next visit. The parking lot is huge but it can still be hard to find a spot on weekends. The store is clean, as are the bathrooms. The people working here are a real delight and are always super friendly and ready to help out with whatever you need. I will always be a Bookmans fan as long as they exist.

Presentation: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Efficiency: 5/5 Customer Service: 5/5 Price: 5/5 As every Tucsonian knows, this is a second hand store that has a LOT to offer everyone. Whether it's a magazine, Fender Stratocaster guitar, 1980's metal cassette tapes, LP's, maybe a graphing calculator?? - puzzles, entire decades of video games and miscellaneous wires and controllers, or even a an odd book mark, THIS is the place! There are ONLY two Bookmans left in Tucson, and even through the pandemic, these places bring in the crowds. Sometimes the prices aren't much of a bargain, so check online if that's important otherwise the inventory if huge here. The customer service is always top notch, today I was looking for a coin collecting book and sure enough, they had it; and knew EXACTLY where, on what shelf it would be all from communication from the counter. The staff are all knowledgeable, you and they offer an Educator's discount of 20% if you're in that line of work and as many may not know, you can Trade in nearly anything there! And while the plethora of people are constantly working those front doors, the lack of general seating is something I don't think the management sees properly. People are always looking for a spot to sit as the store is huge; management, please, seriously take note! Summary: Wonderful place, no drink counter (management..!?) great customer service and a dedicated spot to bring your children and get them interested in books! Would absolutely recommend this place, especially if you're new to Tucson!

Anyways, I stopped in for a journal and found a beautiful blue leather lined journal with a fleur-de-lis on the cover. Then I stumbled across a "part-time" adult daily planner that was undated. Normally I wouldn't go for undated but this one spoke to me. The store is laid out really well and is very spacious. I appreciated the small Hanukkah display that was available. This is where things went a little sideways for me as I looked at the items on display. Two parties have a responsibility here, the buyer, Barnes & Noble, and the supplier, Paper Source. I'm so confused as to why either party believed an ornament was appropriate here. For what? We don't have anything or celebrate for which we would use an ornament. A Hanukkah bush is not a thing. The other thing that confused me was the with challah. Such weird items for Hanukkah. There isn't nor should there be an equivalent for every Christmas item to Hanukkah. They are not the same thing and there is no equivalence. Other than these weird Hanukkah items, if I were in the area again and needed to come back to BN, I would definitely stop in here. And per contract/usual, there was a decent sized Sbux cafe inside the store. One which I will never visit since I do not give my business to Sbux.

All the monthly book club reads were announced on a chalk board as you walk in, and I was greeted with a welcome as I walked in the door!
