This Dillard's, situated inside of the Tucson Mall, is your standard Dillard's location, and that is a positive for me, as I was after a nice button-up shirt or vest for an upcoming dinner. Men's is located on the first level and makes up makes up majority of this level, so the options are fairly expansive. The store is mapped out well, organized and decently stocked. I wasn't after anything too special, so I went in the house brand area and ended up finding a nice shirt and pullover, both of which were on sale, and collectively paid around $50. So, win for sure! Service was friendly and helpful. Greeted upon entry near the cologne area and was checked on a few times while wandering around the men's section. The store, like many mall locations, is showing its age and is a bit worn in areas including the changing rooms, flooring and the ceilings. Nothing wild, but definitely noticeable. I came here with my girlfriend to buy some clothes. We're here for one another's feedback, so we were in the dressing room talking about how the clothes fit. Then a sales associate knocked on the door and kicked me out because "men are not allowed in the women's dressing room". I complained to the sales manager and he was not very understanding. I can't believe I have overlooked this store. I always pass by and never cared to check it out. We were looking for outfits for my son's wedding, and my husband got his suit from here. I saw lots of dresses for myself, just not the right color. They also have a great line of nice outfits for women. I will definitely check back again in the future. The staff that helped my husband find the right suit was very helpful and accommodating. He made sure we understood the policy for returns and alterations. We spent a lot on his suit, but it was a choice we made. We wanted a good style and were after quality material. read more

I went to the Tucson Dillard's today to buy athletic shoes for my (almost) 2 yr old granddaughter. I had the best shopping experience (that's pretty fortunate with a 4 & 2 yr old.) Sabrina helped us & was excellent from start to finish. We haven't had any luck purchasing shoes online (could never seem to get the right size.) Sabrina measured her foot - which is just shy of a wide foot - & brought out 6 or 7 pairs of shoes. They were the same price as the ones we've bought online, but worth so much more because of the great customer service & of course being able to find the right size. The store is beautifully set up - oh & I forgot to mention the gentleman who works in the jewelry dept. He helped us find the elevator on the way in & was so kind when we were leaving & the 4 yr old accidentally knocked over a display of chains. I will definitely be back to shop at Dillard's. I had the pleasure of shopping for Men's shoes at the Dillards in Tucson (The Tucson Mall) and it was an amazing experience, especially on a Black Friday! I was greeted by Cassidy and Esme who were excellent!! Cassidy was very knowledgeble and even with all the other customers, I wasn't over looked one bit! Loved it and got great deals on top of it! Dillards has always been a great store with a huge selection, but what makes it a "Great" store is their staff. I want everyone to know to look carefully at the material percentage on their clothing when purchasing anything sold by Dillard's. I bought some pant's there and it had good quality so I decided to buy another pair in a different color and I realized later the quality wasn't the same. When I contacted customer service they told me the reason why the quality is different is because it was a different color. I have clothing at home that are the same piece of clothing in different colors and they all have the same quality. I believe this company is trying to get away with ripping people off. read more

One of the worst suit-buying experiences I've ever had. The men's suit manager at Dillard's was one of the most unprofessional employees I've come across. I'm a moderately wealthy business owner who runs a car dealership, and I also work out regularly, so my body proportions change and I rely on accurate, custom measurements. Instead of offering to help, the manager refused to measure me unless I picked a specific brand from his store first--completely backwards and unhelpful. I spoke with his supervisor, but he seemed just as uninterested and made no real effort to resolve the issue. I ended up walking over to another store in the same mall and dropped good money there for excellent service and a proper fit. I strongly advise avoiding this location if you expect any level of professionalism or basic courtesy. read more

I had not been here in awhile and was glad to go back. I like to park on the top level and though it isn't covered can always easily find a parking space. The entrance there leads into women's wear which is where I wanted to be. Their selection wasn't as broad as I remembered but they do have a lot. I usually buy all my Chanel online because they also give samples which are nice to try for new products. Last couple years I noticed the counters in department stores run out and they don't have time. I usually know exactly what I want when I go but samples are always a must for me. This is the kind of department store that I remember growing up with. Lots of selection, all sized people welcome, friendly and attentive sales staff, bargains galore. Top quality merch... Great layout, reminiscent of Capwell's. Emporium, Gumps, Magnin... These kinds of stores don't exist anymore but Dillard's keeps it alive... Call me a 100% devoted customer. Art (Arturo I assume) from men's wear department is a failure. I couldn't tell if he was incompetent, prejudice or just hateful. I asked if I could have my measurement taken because I'm in the market for a suit. But because I wasn't buying one of his suits he told me "our measurements don't add up the same" and he wouldn't do it. I don't want to get into how much that doesn't make sense. In the time it took for him to explain how Dillard's inches aren't regular inches I could've gotten my measurement. Ive never experienced anything like that. All in all Art brings zero value to this department store and maybe the world. Please give him the help and attention he needs. read more

This rating is specifically for a gentlemen by the name of Steve who works in the shoe department of the Tucson Mall location. I was desperately looking for a pair of shoes that were completely sold out online. Both my sister-in-law and sister were calling various Dillards stores to see if they had any available. Steve not only took time out of what I imagine was a busy day in-store, but he maintained a professional tone and was extremely helpful. In fact, he was able to find one pair left in my size and placed the order online while I was still on the phone AND he double checked all of my info to ensure I would receive an email confirmation! Needless to say I was thrilled I got the shoes, but I was more impressed with what great customer service skills Steve has. He is a real asset to the company and obviously takes pride in his job by going above and beyond to help helpless customers such as myself. (You don't see that as much nowadays.) Wow this place is a hard sell. I found a really cute dress in Las Vegas Dillard's and I wanted to purchase one size smaller but it's nowhere to be found on their website...which is a horrendous mess to navigate anyway. You can't sort by color, nor specifically price (just low to high, etc) so after fumbling around on that for 15 minutes I finally called a Phoenix location to see if maybe they had it. The nice lady in dresses said she couldn't find the UPC number and had to do some other magic....which she did and found one store in Tucson and one in El Paso Texas that had the garment. First phone call to the store went unanswered - rang and rang until it finally cut me off so I called back and asked for ladies dresses again and was connected to "swim." Perfect! Geez. Well Eureka! nice lady in "swim" went and found the dress but says something like there's no UPC on it so let's go into detail and describe this thing. OK so we figure out it's the same garment now can you send it to me? Yes for $11.95. Seriously? A $170.00 full price item that I've had to take all this time to locate and you can't waive the shipping? nope. Now I remember why am not a customer of Dillards. read more

In Tucson, we tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to shopping--both in quality and in selection. The Tucson Mall, and this Dillard's in particular is no exception. While this Dillard's is, hands down, Tucson's better departments store, the sales personnel absolutely ruins this place for me. Appearance and selection-wise, this is a standard Tucson-grade, upper-scale department store. There's two levels of marble-clad sales floors; I typically spend all of my time here on the first floor, where the menswear is located. The nicest stuff (men's-wise) that you're going to find here will be in the Ralph Lauren department, and the area with the leather goods. Any nicer, and you're going to have to drive two hours north to Scottsdale. Like mentioned above, Tucson selection is limited. As such, I don't hold this store accountable for this caveat--the demand is just not there for more expensive stuff in the Tucson area. Facilities are mostly very nice, with a seriously dilapidated and dirty men's restroom. Where this place really loses stars from me, is with the service. I have not sought help very often, but when I have needed it, or have witnessed anyone needing it, I have never been impressed. The biggest issues I have had, have been in the Ralph Lauren department. There's two people that I tend to see working there--a middle-aged, dark-haired woman with an attitude so uppity, I feel I owe her a thank you for even looking at me, and a man with a grey beard and glasses, who is just odd. I've found the most fault with the dark-haired lady; this one really could benefit from an attitude adjustment. You name it, she's got it--snooty looks, snooty and curt responses, snooty vibes, and everything. That behavior does not resonate well with me, so whenever I see her there, I stay away. The bearded guy that works there is a bit better, but it all seems to depend on the mood he's in. One day he could be very helpful and cordial, another day he could be a temperamental wise-cracker. It doesn't only stop with my experience. Once, I was up on the second floor with my mother, and we were getting ready to separate; she was going to hang out on the second floor, I was going to be down on first, in the men's section. Before I headed downstairs, I witnessed a female salesperson at the perfume counter ask my mother if she needed help. When she said she was just looking, the saleswoman actually rolled her eyes in my mother's face. Professional, huh? This isn't the first time she has had iffy service here, from what she's said. Contrary to what is often said about Scottsdale, I never received behavior this damning in a Dillard's, or comparable store up there. The workers there seem more like shopping assistants as opposed to simply salesmen. When you tell them you're just looking, they let you look in peace with nary an uppity attitude. When you buy a shirt, they iron it, put it in a box with tissue paper, and then put the box in the bag. Here, you'd be lucky if they fold it before they throw it in the bag. I really would prefer to support businesses close to home, but with the sudden popularity of online shopping, and Phoenix/Scottsdale being two hours away, I really don't think shopping locally is worth the crappy service. The old saying "you get what you pay for" really doesn't apply here. read more

Please come to DC. Oh and upgrade your Ladies Room! In the 60's ladies rooms were a lounge...a place of refuge not a pink-tile sloppy dated mess. If you're looking to be treated with unwarranted nasty, snobby attitudes by employees this is the perfect place to go to. Who knew shopping in the men's section as a female would be such a damn problem to others, couldn't even get genuine answers to my questions without a sneer and some rude tone. The only reason this review has 2 stars is credit for the actual assistance and friendliness from Barney (working in the men's department). I would say it made up for the gross interactions with other employees, yet here I am leaving this review anyway just so everyone else is aware this Dillard's predominantly seems to hire people with sticks up their asses. I don't expect things served on a silver platter with a wide sunshine smile, work can be exhausting, but there's a difference between that and the intentional entitled bitchy-ness of this place. read more

The guy helping me was patient and took the time to get my size (huge) in several different styles. Like a lab rat that's given a piece of cheese every time it hits a button and gets an electrical shock that might knock its brains out of its head, I keep going back to Dillard's. Coming from a region where the only mid+ range department stores available are Nordstrom and Macy's, I get super excited about the prospect of spending hellacious amounts of money for clothes that's appropriate for a woman who's given up all hope of looking like someone from the planet Earth. Being in Tucson, where everything's geared towards more "mature audiences" the Petites department of Dillard's lays out the clothing future I have to look forward to - elastic waistband pants, high-waisted tummy-control jeans I can eventually hitch up all the way up to my liver-spotted and sagging breasts; loud, color-blocked clothing suitable for cataract-sufferers who like to see they're wearing something when looking at themselves in the mirror. I think Dillard's tries to position themselves as Nordstrom and some of the product lines, such as Joe's Jeans and Vince Camuto overlap. While there were many sales associates milling about, talking to each other, nobody offered me any help. The piece of cheese for me at Dillard's was the awesome shoe find. My feet are so old and misshapen, they are carbon dated from the paleolithic period...which means my feet fit perfectly into Tucson demographic. Endless shelves of "comfortable old ladies' shoes" to fit every foot abnormality in styles OTHER than round-toed clogs. Shoes with high heels suitable for buxom bombshells but with enough comfort for ten nuns to stand on their feet all day caring for lepers. In keeping with their service policy, I had to flag down a sales associate to help me get my shoe size, as nobody would offer to help. And at the cash register, I waited at least 10 minutes while a lady customer was arguing with the sales associate in Spanish over the noticeable nick in her 5" heels. The saleslady didn't even acknowledge my presence, even though I tried to cut into the conversation with all the Spanish words I knew (Jose Cuervo Gold, Dos Cervezas, por favor, Donde esta the service in this @#*$& department store?) Finally, the lady who brought me the shoes remembered her commission and helped me complete my purchase. Would have lingered to look at more shoes if it weren't for the abysmal service. read more

While preparing to check out the customer in front of us was attempting to return an item that had been previously purchased 5 days before. The salesMAN held up the receipt in front of the customer and said "you only had 3 days to return this item because it was 65% off, see here it is printed in BOLD letters on your receipt". The salesman then walked over to the sale sign and tapped on the sign indicating it was also printed on the sign. Finishing his conversation with " it is store policy". To Dillard's credit, we moved to a different register, Robert was extremely polite and helpful, finishing our transitions with a smile and big thank you. I understand deeply discounted and nonreturnable items. The thing I don't understand is RUDE salespeople. You are in business to make the customer fell they are of value, because without them your business would not exist. read more

I'll say it: Christmas shopping sucks, but the folks at Dillard's were very pleasant and helpful. This should be an expectations considering that customer service is, you know, their livelihood, but around the holidays it's wise to lower your expectations because, well, shoppers are jackasses and they're even more prevalent in large quantities. The people here though were fantastic. I was there to pick out a couple of gifts for my wife. The ladies in the perfume section were very friendly and went out of their way to help me. One of them provided me with an opinion and provided alternatives. She even helped me out to assure I received the best deal possible in terms of perfume sets. I live nowhere near Tucson Mall, so I don't know when I will return, but my experience there was pleasant enough for me to want to write a positive review. If you are a fan of shopping at department stores, I advise you to shop here. read more

I love my wife, my wife love shoes, dillards has the best selection in town so I spend ample amounts of time here helping my wife pick out pumps, flats, flip flops, sneakers. They also have a great selection of ties, cufflinks, shirts, slacks, and other clothes. Their sales are usually pretty good and although their mens shoe department is horrific the womens section keeps my wife happy. The staff is always helpful and we always get rang out pretty fast. I take away one star because of their lazy security guards. One afternoon I am strolling through dillards and a kid bolts by pretty fast, 30 seconds later their fat lackadaisical security guard wobbles by and say's "you should have tripped him" and then continues to stroll by. Look I am not expecting a high speed pursuit but to be that lazy, and then to make the comment he did, was just a real insult to me. Oh well otherwise I really enjoy shopping here. read more

Attention Chanel Makeup Lovers!!!!! Dillards is the only place that carries their products. So for that they get an extra star. Ann at the Chanel counter (Tucson Mall) is super knowledgeable and is always right on with color matching and you never leave looking like a clown (like you do when you visit other counters.) Their annual shoe sale is amazing! I bought a pair of brand name rain boots (to visit NYC) for all of $15.00 during the sale and many other goodies and its a fun time to buy something funky for a reasonable price. But other than that, it is just a regular old department store. The staff is always friendly, except at Mac. That will be saved for another review. The customer service department also does a great job of wrapping gifts and it is not as overpriced as other department stores. read more

When I shop at Dillard's I am normally going to the shoe and purse section. I tend to not find much in the clothes department. Most items are high priced for their name. My favorite time to shop at Dillard's is when the have a huge sale like the one they recently had this last February. 65% off plus an additional 40% on shirts, bags, shoes, watches, etc. I found some flats this year that were regular $32 and paid $8 for them. Wow! This Dillard's recently started selling Vera Bradley, who is a favorite designer of mine. I will say they have yet to have her big items on sale, but I am hoping for the day to come. I would say for the most part the store is always clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Rosa in the purse department is extra special because she is always willing to assist and remembers my Nana and I when we go in. I always go to Rosa for my checkout at Dillard's. I bought a 110 dollar cologne here for my brother and he already had it so I wish to return it a month later and they couldn't give me my money back, which I thought was a stupid policy. They only offered store credit which I didn't want because they don't really have stylish clothes, I could simply describe it as basic. I will never shop here again because of the customer service and in addition, they have no real deals whatsoever, they weren't even capable of finding the cologne I was looking for, I ended up finding the cologne myself, and they had the audacity to not even offer me a job, just kidding hehe. But really the customer service is not good here, I was looking to spend more than 130 dollars, and employees were helpless to say the least, the only thing they could do is process my payment, in which they needed three employees behind the counter to do that. Will not shop here ever again, and don't recommend anyone else does either, save your money for elsewhere. read more

Went in for a return to the dept where item was purchased. As usual hard to find someone at a register. You always have to hunt someone down every single time. Encountered 3 young girls working the dept but they were standing grouped around busy talking about their shampoo and what they ate for lunch. Finally, get one of the girls to help, right away her attitude was poor as if I inconvenienced her asking to do a return. My husband happened to be with me for the purchase prior but never shops out and used his card. Could'nt do the return unless I wanted a gift card which I didn't. Kind of pointless to have a receipt if I can't do a return. Stores like Walmart return monies to the card used without needing the actual card. I guess I assumed wrong that a big company like Dillard's would offer the same. Asked for manager girl told me I could go to customer service. I go and get a women (Yanida) who ended up being even more snotty to me because I was asking her the return policy and clarifying. She pulled the receipt out, laid it flat and point to the item purchase, form of payment slowly and with a belittling attitude and a glare as if I was incompetent. I looked at her with disbelief and said, " I can't believe your talking like that to me," she was like "look how your talking to me!" I was like I'm the customer asking a question, you don't have to talk to me like that! Couldn't get anyone else to help because she was the customer service rep (not really sure what her position was.) Worst encounter I've ever had at Dillard's in all my years shopping here! Not the attitudes you should encounter shopping at a dept store and for the prices you pay! Time to educate and look into your staff Dillard's, unless this the image of customer service your trying to portray! Great selections of woman's clothing and shoes- sales are good and plenty in August. Customer service: deserves 1 star. the gals that work the floor upstairs are just plain mean. They don't help you unless you are carrying a $1200.00 bag- really? They work for min wage and get a few perks. they need to be reminded: THEY are the help!!! Store is always super clean and the jewelry section is well organized. Shoe dept. is a mess in the summer when sales start, shoes everywhere! This store needs better management through out. read more
