When I got engaged this past November, I suggested he consider investing in a simple, inexpensive suit for my wedding day and, after (much) encouragement from my mom, he reluctantly agreed. Although it took a lot of convincing to actually get my dad into the shop, once he was in Men's Warehouse, he was in great hands. Robert was with my dad every step of the way, providing fantastic customer service, and making a dreaded process actually feel like fun. He helped my dad choose everything: the suit, pants, shirt (in complimentary colors), shoes, and a belt. The end result was fantastic! On my wedding day, my dad "wow'ed" us all. He looked sharp, put together, and, most importantly, at ease. He would have been handsome in anything, but it meant so much to me to see him all dressed up for my special day. See, my family is leaving on a three week trip to Europe very soon and I was looking for fancy wide leg pants. When we entered the store we were greeted by a women who seemed friendly. I was able to find 4 items that I liked and stood just outside the dressing room. While I waited, off to the side were two girls (associates) chatting away. The store wasn't busy at all. The friendly woman was helping another customer inside the dressing room and happened to notice me and let me into a dressing room. At the same moment one of the girl associates broke away from her convo and asked if I needed a dressing room. Duh, I'm standing holding clothes in front of the dressing room door. I tried the 4 pieces on. the friendly woman continued to help her customer and never did return to my dressing room nor did any other associate. Did I like the clothing? Yes. Would I have tried on more? Yes. Did any one associate do their job? NOPE! After I got dressed I brought my clothes out of the dressing room. Call me proper or old school - maybe I just have better manners than most but my intention were to put the clothing back in it's place. My sister was waiting just outside the dressing room and I stood and talked with her about where all the associates were? While I'm speaking to my sister one of the girl associates comes over and asked if anything worked. I politely said no and asked where I could place the items. She begins to explain that most people just leave the items in the dressing room. She continues to stare at me as I hold the items and then proceeds to say - Or I can just take them for you? She doesn't move at all. I attempted to hand the items over and she then says - oh, all of them??? I left the store and went a couple doors down to the HM store. Price range: I picked up dresses that ranged from 1k to 2.5k. However, I was able to get a small discount on my dress. Variety: there's nice variety of mermaid dresses or your bigger ballroom gowns. There was a surplus of dresses. Size: since my dress was on sale it was the tiniest available but I fell in love. They were able to order me a dress in my size for around 170. The 170 isn't refundable but will go to your dress if you purchased it. So I went with it. Alterations: I came back after a few months alittle nervous about how much the alterations would cost. We had to taken the dress in twice and that came out to 135. Throughly thankful for the experience
