While shopping in the Ralph Lauren section of Dillards, I had the most unpleasant experience with an older saleswoman. She was ticked off by a customer she had before me-- given that she was complaining to another coworker about it. I thought, "Perfect! I'll be an easy customer for her!" But, once it was my turn to checkout, she turned all that frustration onto me. I usually love shopping at this location, but I'll definitely look elsewhere for my goods. Got turned away three times at cosmetics. One lady at Chanel just looked at me as I had no business there, second person helped to find something of similar value but would not wait for me to get money and helped someone else. Waited and he did not return, final lady literally walked me out hounding me of what I wanted! I want everyone to know to look carefully at the material percentage on their clothing when purchasing anything sold by Dillard's. I bought some pant's there and it had good quality so I decided to buy another pair in a different color and I realized later the quality wasn't the same. When I contacted customer service they told me the reason why the quality is different is because it was a different color. I have clothing at home that are the same piece of clothing in different colors and they all have the same quality. I believe this company is trying to get away with ripping people off. read more

Worst shoe shopping experience ever. My son is a jazz musician in NY and I was going to buy him 3 pairs of very nice shoes for performing. We picked a lot of shoes to try on and we were determined to buy all 3 at Dillards. After trying on several shoes and finding 2 to buy the sales associate told us that he's never had anyone ask to look at so many shoes and he told us to work with his manager instead. The salesperson actually gave up on helping us and made us feel like we did something wrong. Again we wanted to buy 3 pair so we were looking at a lot of shoes. The manager was very apologetic for the associates behavior and we gave up looking there because the associate made us feel so terrible for trying on a lot of the shoes. He ruined our good mood. I really like shopping at Dillard's because their clothes are really nice and they have so much more too. It was a very quiet shopping experience, hardly anyone around. Things are so different now after Covid but one thing remains, and that is the quality of their merchandise. My go to department store for years has been Macys, but the men's department at the Tucson Mall is in a pretty sad state of affairs. Recently I discovered Dillards at the Park Place Mall and was thoroughly impressed with the brands they carried there. I've been able to find some great deals, and it makes me want to go back and see what they have. The store kind of reminds me of what Macys use to be or maybe a store somewhere between a Macys and a Nordstrom. read more

Went to return a suit after it didn't fit and the employee Araceli mind you she hadn't even taken the suit out of the bag and just assumed it had been worn immediately called the manager. Didn't know trying stuff on and returning it was such a fiasco won't be shopping at this store again definitely a mistake! Should've just gone to State and Liberty in Scottsdale suits there are excellent quality, this is the price of waiting last min and running to a retail store in Tucson. Last minute purchase for a shirt for an early U of A graduation the next day. Macy's did not have the unusual size we needed so we rushed to Dillard's like 5 minutes before they closed. I know it is inconsiderate to do this and I try to avoid it but I was not aware this purchase needed to be done until the last minute. We got the help of 2 ladies and they were awesome. They were eager to help, showed us a few options, thought out of the box and ended up finding a solution. They were super patient and friendly while our son in law tried the clothes, and at no moment they made us feel rushed or being an inconvenience. They were understanding and professional at every step. Genuinely willing to help. I feel terrible because as of now I only remember one of the names... Gracie. If anyone else can tell me the name of the other lady in the Gentlemen's department, closing shift, May 11th 2018 I would greatly appreciate it. Worst experience I've ever had here this Holiday season shopping. I've shopped at this same store every Christmas/Valentine's Day for 10+ years to get a specific Estee Lauder Beautiful perfume set with the extra Holiday make up gift set (Cost of $130+). 12-2-17 This year the store was out of the big gift set, so the Beauty Advisor LeeAnn was very helpful and looked on the computer and seen that other stores outside the state had some in stock and she said I could pay for it and it would be sent to me. She swiped my CC for the full amount in 2 transactions and promised me the set would be sent to my home free of charge. I thanked her and left happy. 2 weeks have went by and I get an email saying my order has been canceled so I go to the store on 12-13 to find out what is going on, because at this point it's far too late to shop for this very popular gift set anywhere else. When I arrived at the store I was greeted by Martha, who basicaly told me "Yep, sorry we had this happen to a lot of people". When I asked what she was going to do to make up for this mess up and over sell, she said "nothing". I have never been treated so poorly and rude by an Estee Lauder Beauty Agent, so I immediately ask for a full refund. She says I was never charged for the gift set, and would only give me a refund on the perfume part. Even with my receipts and showing her my online bank statement that showed them pulling both sales from account. She rolled her eyes and said she'd call the manager. After about 5 minutes an Area Sales Manager named Renee came out of her office. She had an attitude before ever talking to me, like we were bothering her and her office time. I fully explain the situation and show her my online bank statement for the past 2 weeks showing her I was charged and never refunded. She replies "We don't charge for online orders, you only get charged if it is delivered." Even after showing her the debit transaction and no refund in 2 weeks. She then called security on me while on hold with Dillards corporate line (No reason, I wasn't yelling or threatening). All said and done I've been given a PARTIAL refund of the perfume and have to go back tomorrow as they investigate the situation On my missing $58. For a manager Renee is absolutely unprofessional. The 2 ladies working this specific store on 12-13-17 have no idea how to treat customers, have ZERO customer service, and basically call their customers liars even when all the proof is directly in front of them. I will never return to this store again after this is over. I walked out of this store and straight to Macy's Estee Lauder department and explained my treatment over at Dillards. Lauren at Macy's was completely shocked and appalled that an Estee Lauder Beauty Agent would ever treat a customer that way, as it is not the way Estee Lauder would allow for its product line. I bought the largest Beautiful Gift Set they had (not the original one I get my wife every year) but bigger, just out of spite of Dillards. Not only did the Macy's worker Lauren apologize for the bad agents at Dillards but she took great care of me and even gave me a $20 gift card to use next time I shop. NOW THAT IS HOW YOU TREAT AN ESTEE LAUDER CUSTOMER!!! I will be reporting this incident to Estee Lauder corporate, via email and telephone tomorrow. I'd like to start off on the positive. This store is amazing. I wish I can afford half the items in here; however, this review is specifically for the women's shoes. I came thru at around 830pm on a Friday night. Yes they were almost closing by 9pm but I've worked in retail so I respect the stores and I'm not messy. I asked the 3 staff members in the women's shoe department if they carried a specific shoe in a different color. One employee got her phone out to check on who knows which website but she didn't have signal (I didn't either). We went back to join the other 2 staff members who then offered opinions and suggestions. I don't even think they checked their inventory or their website. Not the customer service I was expecting especially at Dillards which is high end. I just said I would simply order them off of Amazon. read more

This review is for the Men's shoe department. My fiance and I were looking for a pair of shoes to go with his suit for our wedding in a few weeks. Our first thought was Dillard's since they have a nice dress shoe selection and (I had hoped) excellent customer service. We started browsing and one of the salesmen was ringing up another customer, but when we was done he went back into the stock room instead of checking on us (we had a few questions). It was as if the men's shoe department had become completely deserted..... As we were leaving I saw THREE salesmen standing around jingling the change in their pockets and watching us. Rude! Those who have met me know I am a big dude. Hence I find myself having to shop the Big and Fat section, which most stores don't have. Dillards has just such a section and is about the only place I like to shop for clothes. Other places quality just does not measure up. Sure their prices can be high, but when they have sales, you can find some unbelievable deals. Sometimes, I have to look twice at the price tag to make sure my eyes don't deceive me. THEN... often when you get to the register, they will take off an additional percentage. It's almost like they are giving the stuff away. Sometimes I almost feel guilty because I got the stuff so cheap. The same is true for other sections of the store: clothes for regular size people, shoes, bedding, glassware, kitchenware... on and on. Timing is everything. If you happen to find yourself in Dillards when they have such a sale, try to control yourself. I can't. read more

The customer service here rocks! First of all, I don't usually shop at Dillard's, but my bf and I were going to a movie and he needed jeans. We went to Dillard's and bought 3 pair. One pair was the Levi's 501 shrink-to-fit and they shrank-too-small after washing even though they were all the same size. I e-mailed customer service and quickly got a call from the manager and to make a long story short, got a refund. Dillard's treats people like people, not just blindly following policy. I appreciate their customer service and will certainly think of Dillard's now when I need to buy clothes (though I never thought of them before). The shoe department is a nightmare. The shoe salespeople have an insane rate of turnover. The managers are rude. I visited last January. My boyfriend's daughter wanted some boots. I ended up standing there for almost an hour while the salesman made an error, tried to fix it, called several people to help him - they weren't very helpful. He was nice, but new without adequate training. Nearly an hour to ring up one pair of mail order boots is insane. It just went on and on. Recently I was there again. I thought, "Surely it can't be that bad anymore." Was I ever wrong! The salesgirl was new, rude and snide. She informed me that she could use my 10% off coupon. It didn't work. She said, "Oh well, you can use it next time." No. I wanted the ten percent off several hundred dollars worth of shoes. I ended up waiting over 1.5 hours while she called the manager over and over, never letting him know that she made an error. Then the manager showed up and refused to refund the money. I said that wasn't good enough and I wasn't leaving without my money. Eventually he gave it to me, grudgingly. What a nightmare - I will NEVER shop at this Dillard's for shoes again. Ever. Ever. Ever. Save yourself the hassle. 4-11-16 Update Note: I just checked my Dillard's Amex Account. They charged me twice for everything. I'm going to have to call Amex and straighten this out. Their selection of clothes is mediocre at best and their return policy is horrible. Don't ever buy something from Dillard's unless you are 100% sure you want to keep it because if you don't follow their 500 rules concerning returns, forget about ever getting your money back. I will shop at Nordstrom's always from now on and skip even setting foot in a Dillard's. There is no comparison and there is a reason why Nordstrom's succeeds over Dillard's. Ive shopped at Dillards for various things but mostly shoes, clothes makeup and perfume. It has become my last option for shoes as my last experience i dealt with such sale driven salesman that i couldnt get help from anyone who didnt think they were going to get commission from me. In fact, two different employees down right refused to help me. In the womens department, i was looking for a fitting room and was told there was "None available" in the highend department when the department was empty of customers (i will admit i was dressed down in yoga pants and a hoody having come from the gym) but nonetheless, the Olsen Twins look like Bums when they wear million dollar outfits too. Needless to say, the service you get at Dillards obviously varies based on looks- so if you want good service, you better dress in MONEY! read more

I came here to buy an overpriced purse for my wife's birthday. My experience started off really well! Candy greeted me and was all smiles! She took the time to follow me around like a lost puppy while I compare the pictures my wife sent of the one she wanted to what was in stock. She unlocked every one I pointed at so I could get a better look. After finally selecting one, Candy helped me open up a credit account so I didn't have to dip into my savings for this investment. We had a great conversation about Pho and other delicious Vietnamese dishes as Candy is from Vietnam. She's a very sweet person and I can tell she loves to help people. Up to customer service for some gift wrapping. I get upstairs and find a coffee maker I thought would make a good gift as well as my wife is a coffee junkie. Since they didn't have access to coffee IV's, I chose an Icoffee brand similar to the Keurig. I walk into customer service with my items and see that the associate is on the phone. No problem...I'm waiting patiently when the associate looks up at me and asks "did you need something?" I couldn't help but to look around in disbelief! I asked her if I could pay for the coffee maker there so she could wrap it. She responded "you pay out there" pointing at the main floor behind me....WOW! This was a COMPLETELY different experience from the great experience I just had with Candy! In my opinion, as an Assistant General Manager, this girl needs some extensive customer service training or possibly a job at our numerous call centers we have here in town. This quickly went from a 5 star review to a 3 star review because of one bad apple. Candy needs to be a trainer and instill some of her excellent customer service skills on this girl! Unfortunately, I will not have Dillard's gift wrap anything I purchase from them in the future. However, I will be back to shop with Candy and get her some commission! read more

I'm between 2 and 3 stars. I'm giving 2 for the reasons below. I always buy gifts for my husband at Dillard's. Clothes, cologne, etc. When I shop in the men's department I receive great service. There's always someone there to help. The men's fragrance department is a different story. I cannot count how many times I have stood at the counter while the sales associates either talked on the phone or to each other while looking me right in the eye! I suppose I'm spoiled. The stores in Houston paid commission to their employees, so there was incentive to be attentive and make sales. Not so here. The rude treatment has gone on for years in this specific department. Next gift, I'll shop at Macy's. The sales associates there can't possibly be as rude as Dillard's. read more

I have shopped at Dillard's for twenty years and have only been treated poorly at this location. Went to return an expensive pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that my husband wore twice, and had the lense pop out of. Was treated like a criminal by the GM after the first sales lady slammed down her hangers angrily when I told her I had a return. We spent 40 minutes being interrogated about how the lense popped out, and how many times he wore them and why we had popped it back in. Finally my husband said he would just take it up with Ray Ban, then the manager said that he'd return them, but was going to inspect the glasses after we left. I had my receipt, had bought the glasses the month before for a gift. The people at this location have forgotten that I choose to shop wherever I want. I won't choose this store again. read more

A very friendly blonde woman from Poland helped me, and she was just awesome. She made several recommendations of different colognes I may like, and helped me decide. Every time I go to the Park mall I always swing by Dillards. They are one of the few places in town that have a decent Big and Tall section. I am mostly interested in the Tall section. They can be a bit pricey, but if you wait for the sales than you can get a really good deal on their cloths. read more

We pick some out and the lady helping us at the dressing room was giving to much of an opinion about every dress that what we were picking was "tacky" "maybe something a little less expensive" .. When in the first place we never gave her a min price we wanted to spend.. My 13 year old Bruce even said " wow she's really making you wedding sound cheap" I just wanted to leave.
