The store has broad selection of seasonal and year-round wares that are colorful and interesting. All the above said, I have two issues with the place. First, the seasonal products like Talavera and pottery are priced higher than other merchants by 20% and I think that may be due to their location and the amount of inventory--my best advice is to wait for a sale. Second is the lack of a public restroom which I find ridiculous--they advertise on social media so their audience is broad, after a two-hour trip being told you can use a restroom at Trader Joe's is ridiculously inconvenient. Would I recommend The Happy Saguaro? Yes and no, if you're in the area or enroute to other destinations, it's worth a stop. If you're looking for something in particular you have to have, call and it can be worth the drive but realize you may be paying for it.

He mailed a large glazed pot, (arrived beautifully packed and intact) to me in Kansas City which totally made my balcony, looked classic but contemporary. It even looked great with white bertoia batwing chair and ottoman which looks a little 'off' with about everything else I had tried-the contemporary black and white chevron pot pulled it together and looked good paired with an Egyptian faux concrete footed ( vertical) planter in which I had vertical juniper tree. It was a mini 'balcony scape' project all just with expertise of owner, a few sketches with railing ht and 'study' of hanging plant and other planter, zero upkeep and only with the investment of the pot which required no plant to maintain!! it was my shingle to outside of building, definitely gave to the street and made me happy.

Two years ago we purchased a sofa and chair from this store. We had looked at their furniture…read moreseveral months earlier at their previous store and were impressed by the owner and the quality. When they moved we had returned after deciding to get a sofa and chair to replace our sectional. We met with the owner and his stepson and learned that he was retiring. After looking at their furniture selection we decided on a style and proceeded. During our contacts we had been told that the manufacturer was in California and had been doing business with them for many years. The stepson took our order, which including the proper pieces for the chaise sofa, which he couldn't seem to figure out until I pointed them out. We received the furniture several weeks later and used it for less than two years before determining it was of such poor quality that we have to replace it. When the store was contacted we learned the owner had retired and further more that our furniture came from a different manufacturer that they had stopped doing business with near to when our order was placed. The stepson advised that they could do nothing to resolve the issue and I would have to deal with the manufacturer. I pointed out that I didn't do business with the manufacturer but with them based on the reputation of the owner and the quality seen and represented to us. I asked for a full refund on the furniture and received no reply. The furniture has been donated to charity and we are out several thousand$$$ and ended up buying the quality we thought we were getting from Bakers. It was also interesting that according to the paperwork there was a several week delay between receiving payment and the placing of the the order. FYI Also noted that the picture associated with "Preben the owner" in one of the responses to a comment is actually that of the stepson Justin.
